So let me start by saying that this partially works Now I ll explain It performed every test on my 2013 MacBook Air and showed that it had the right spects 4GB RAM 1 3 i5 CPU etc However with my MacPro not only did it not test the CPU 12 Core 3 46GHz it also only showed half of my video ram being tested at 1GB it s an GTX 770 at 2GB Also put my RAM at an incredibly low score This app really isn t working correctly on the MacPr MacBook Air it worked fine Update it has given my MacPro a much lower score than my MacBook Air the MP is light years fast than the Air in evey regard I wouldn t trust this app at all 2 Stars instead of 1 because it worked on my Air         Not Reliable Double0iii

I used this for my school science fair project and it was perfect It gave my simple data that I was able to compare with my other computers It was also great that it worked with a computers running Windows and a Mac so I could compare the two Overall this is an great software and I highly recommend it                     Great for simple statistics matt cap 123

It doesn t seem to use all Xenon CPU cores and the SSD scored the lowest I don t believe Samsung 840 Pro SATA SSD 5Gb s can score 50 having a write speed of only 228 MB s Also when I click on Results Database icon the link redirects me to Windows OS benchmark statistics It feels as if is a ported application             Good Looking Benchmark GUI but not too accurate BookX

Ive run this thing a few times and it is yet to use more than 100 cpu of one core I dont know how it plans to mesure the full power of my CPU with out using all 8 cores on both cpus ive heard it performs a hidden internet speed test the ram test nore the HD tests dont take into compairision lag time also hasnt been upgraded for lion which although might not be bad it still could work better with the OS it could close all the apps safely when it runs and then reopen them safely when its done Like my review to get the developers attention and make this app compeat with cinebench     fails to really test cpu needs some work KC2MNC

I downloaded this to test my hard disks In the description it was advertised that I could test the write speed of primary or selected storage device But I couldn t figure out how to tell it to test the speed of my other storage device All it could test was the primary storage device i e the Macintosh HD Also I just tested my new iMac 27 with core i7 processor and uploaded the result to their website On the website they show Verified NovaBench score which is lower than the NovaBench score displayed in the app What is the explanation for this         Discrepancies in score from app to website yashrg

This app is pretty nice for benchmarking but does has some flaws one major one actually that stops me from giving it a better rating The Good CPU and Video card benchmarks seem pretty right on The Bad HD Benchmarks are total bogus When does HD size effect performance I have an SSD as my boot drive and get a super low score based on size not speed of the drive which is 237MB s My MacBook has a 640g HD with a 63MB s speed and gets a better score Whhaaatt I cannot tell if the RAM suffers from the same problem as I don t have two machines that have the same amount of RAM that are totally different in speed                 Nice app for marking Lotw

If you want benchmarking to know how fast your machine really is you should take a look at GeekBench This tool isn t all that great on multi threaded benchmarking which means it ll tell you that a Core i7 800 series processor 4 cores with hyper threading and a 3 GHz clock speed isn t much faster than a Core i5 dual core mobile processor 2 core with hyper threading and a 2 5 GHz clock speed GeekBench will point out the difference in performance         Not really all that accurate Bill Somethingorother

So I have a dual quad core MacPro 2 Threads per core for 16 threads This program only uses ONE thread of ONE core of ONE processor Seems if you want to benchmark a system you should benchmark the SYSTEM not a single thread of the system Pretty cool and would be really useful if they updated it to make it multi threaded multi core capable             Only one thread santafen

It is a good little tool to check how good your computer is running However a nice thing to have would be the optimal scores for each test with the hardware that you have so you know how far off of good your computer is That keeps it from getting 5 stars but other than that it is good Get it if you want to know how well your computer is doing                 Works well and fast QKaseman
