NS1 is a simple and intuitive virtual analog subtractive synthesizer. It works as an Audio Unit extension inside a host application such as GarageBand, Cubasis, AUM or MultitrackStudio. The clean interface consisting of knobs and ...
This is a great synth to be honest it s the fact that it can be used as an audio unit that lifts it from being a 3 star app to a five star app As far as iOS synths go there are many that are way better but they aren t au What would make this better for me is if you had 2 independent oscillators that you could tune an octave or two apart from each other which would open up so many more sound capabilities Other than that I d say if you re working with an iOS DAW or mixer get this Edit So I m rating it a 4 star app instead of 5 because something needs to happen with presets They can t be accessed from Beatmaker3 or GarageBand Works fine with Auria Pro and Cubasis and can get to them from AUM The presets need to be available from all Audio Unit host Great au synth just one thing Strizbiz
Nice straight forward controls great for developing lush pads In AUM you have access to MIDI CC control of all the synth parameters If you save presets in standalone mode they re available in multiple AU hosts e g GarageBand and AUM Unfortunately Apple needs to have a standardized way of saving your custom presets in all AU apps and AU hosts so we re not recreating presets every time we use a different AU host app Clearly it s the responsibility of Apple to take care of the AU preset problem for the iOS AU standard they created Great AU Synth polarpaul
