I bought this app specifically because it offered audio on the Hebrew words No other app I have found does that At 20 the app should do what it is supposed to do Without the audio the app is not much better than free apps Moreover iCode as a software company has apparently used the name of Zondervan without authorization Zondervan s website makes no mention of this app The iCode website does not allow comments nor queries about the product and says that the original founders have all moved on to other things That tells me that there is no real support for this app     Audio does not work under iOS 11 2 2 Seckroad

This app is an excellent companion if you are learning Hebrew from the book Basics of Biblical Hebrew Grammar by Gary D Pratico and Miles V Van Pelt It is extremely helpful However I am now getting a message that says the app will no longer be available for future iOS releases Will there be an update As far as features I wish we could record ourselves or upload a voice file for each word                 Great Companion App But Riodream

I haven t tried any other Hebrew flash card apps but I d say that I m mostly happy with this one I like that you can study either by one of the major grammars or by frequency of occurrence I find the display aesthetically pleasing and the interface intuitive to use The audio feature is also a help to learning Nonetheless there are several notable improvements that might be made I have still come across a few cards that are blank on the Hebrew side a bug that appears to have existed for several years now based on past reviews Two additional features would increase the app s usefulness a great deal 1 a slideshow mode in which the selected cards would cycle through automatically and 2 an audio response mode by which you could speak the English meaning of the Hebrew word to the phone The first feature would enable users to make better use of the app in the car by listening to their selected group of cards in Hebrew English The second feature one used by Duolingo for modern language learning would help users not to cheat or think they know words they don t really know The app is quite expensive and therefore I think the persistence of the blank vocabulary cards is quite inexcusable and the addition of features like the ones I ve mentioned reasonable As it stands I think this app is good but not great though it has the potential to be so             Good Could Be Great ethanG12

Wrong vocabulary cards in chapters blank cards with English only missing words from multiple chapters these are three of the more serious problems with this app Secondly here is the progression when you try to give feedback General acknowledge thanking you for your feedback suggestions customer sends follow up question customer support is dismissive customer sends another follow up email customer support turns hostile customer gets on itunes and tells other customers to stay away from this app This app has some great potential but for 20 it s clearly not worth buying right now         Improvements still needed George McFly Jr.

Although additional features like more precision in sorting marking and grouping Flashcards would be ideal these Flashcards have been the best I ve found and I ve tried a few I use primarily an iPad 3 and must plug in headphones to get the playback to work but that s fine since not everyone at Starbucks needs to know I m reviewing Hebrew                     Perfect J. Awesome App Was really helpful for studying vocab for Seminary It would get an extra star if you were able to mark certain words that are seem more difficult to memorize to reoccur more often Or maybe a setting where you have to get it right so many times in a row determined by the user in order to move on There were some words which were a piece of cake to memorize but others were a struggle and it would be nice to stack your cards in such a way as to review certain ones more Thanks for the App                 Jon@me

This is a great app for students of Biblical Hebrew or pastors keeping up on it The app might seem a little expensive compared to other apps but it is only a little more than a hard copy of the flashcards and it is definitely worth it My only suggestion is to add a feature that limits the flashcards to the ones you missed The best feature is the ability to sort cards based on frequency and part of speech This is an excellent app Buy it                     Great App Smnjwaldron

I reluctantly purchased this app because I thought 19 99 to be a bit much for an iPhone app Boy was I wrong This app keeps me immersed in the vocabulary all the time Having the pronunciation available is also very handy Now a few weeks later I don t know how d I survive my Hebrew class I highly recommend to anyone taking Biblical Hebrew                     Awesome App KiamaLee

The strongest feature of this app is its ability to use almost any grammar in studying There are some features that would push the app over the edge into the 4 5 star range 1 The font needs to be standardized Maybe something from SBL It won t be as flashy but it ll be more accessible I like the font they have but it s taken me some time to get used to it because it s more artsy than standard 2 A quiz function that allows you to choose multiple chapters that aren t consecutive For example if I wanted to chose chapters 3 7 22 and 28 to quiz myself I d have to choose the whole range from 3 28 I d like the ability to choose what chapters I want quizzed 3 I d like to see the addition of A Student s Vocabulary for Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic by Mitchel This would be a helpful addition and I m sure it appears in most second or third semester syllabus requirements It d be a really useful addition to the app I think if these features were present especially the font and quiz functions it d be worth the 20 dollars As of right now it s not worth 20 given the other apps out there right now             It s good but MAPritchard

This app is just what anyone learning Hebrew needs to compliment what they re learning in the classroom I can review my flashcards while standing in line at the grocery store or waiting for a friend to get off work and redeem all those little otherwise unproductive pockets of time It improves my pronunciation as well because it can pronounce all the words back to me                     FANTASTIC AmBG7
