This is an invaluable tool for me Yes it could have more words in it but I love the fact that I can look up a verb in Italian or Spanish and see how to properly conjugate that verb I work in Italian and consequently am learning Italian I use this tool on a regular basis It doesn t have every word I need but it is extremely useful It is free not even ads give it a try You will love it Also in Preferences you can check the box to show paid version words there are all those words I was looking for I haven t paid from them yet I cannot think of a better way to give away your very resourceful dictionary for FREE and still make a living I personally think it is a very nice app I keep them on to remind me if I really need to I can always buy the full app with more words                     Resroucefull little tool Sir_Mac

I needed a robust French English dictionary to work offline and the in app French English dictionary did just the trick I would have been satisfied with just a complete dictionary but this app went above and beyond and provided native speaker pronunciations to each word and a complete conjugation table for each verb which has helped improve my French even more Overall the dictionary is very complete runs smoothly and ultimately was worth every penny                     French English dictionary addition worth it Tucker Gaegauf

The app is great I am just starting to learn german so its been very helpful But the library is a bit lacking on more than one ocassion I came across words that I did not find on the app                 Good but word library needs expansion ammaryk

I m an aspiring linguist and therefore I download several dictionary apps all of the time I can especially speak for french engish languages when I say this app is okay my main problem with it is its search facility does not take into account conjugated words In other words you must know the original form of a verb for instance in order for the search engine to find it in details                     it s useful but not the best i ve come across Trishnizil

It s a great and conveniet app but I find the Italian dictionary to be lacking though I m impressed with the French and Spanish I use all three for my courses as a quick and easy reference but sometimes can t find basic words or translations for Italian Great for other languages though             Great for Spanish and French Ok for Italian UW Italian

I have this dictionary on both my computer and my iPhone I use it a lot since I am a beginning French speaker But cross links that take me to the french side from a definition on the english side would be very useful especially for the verbs That way when I want to find the french verb for to come I see that it is venir Now I have to search for venir to get the conjugation A pain It is not well thought out for the user in mind Also I have found many instances where a french word is given from the english side but when I want to see the conjugation I type it in and it is not on the french side For instance search for french verbs for to forget You get omettre Now I want to see the conjugation of omettre only to find omettre is not in the french dictionary I find this too often I do like that the verb conjugations are given for the french verbs I have not shopped around for other french english dictionary apps so for now I am stuck wiht this one I must say that I do use it a lot though             Useful but needs cross links and be more complete rwormsbe

I m disappointed Sure it s a dictionary But it doesn t even give plurals of nouns It has a lot of verb conjugations I ll give it that The definitions are just lacking In order to get all the information I need I still have to refer to Ultralingua s dictionary on my iPhone I expected FAR more from a Mac OSX application After spending 13 I guess I wanted a more full featured dictionary It does integrate with the German voice available as part of OS X so it speaks the word to you in German which is nice I d really like to have the ability to record my pronunciation of a word and then contrast that with the way it should be pronounced Before that I d like to have better coverage of nouns This is just OK not great by any means             Marginally useful Nickname578

I ve been using this app while studying spanish and have found it very useful I love the fact that it has not only present tense conjegations but also past and future tenses as well I would have given it 5 stars but not all verbs have the conjugations listed For instance the listing for spanish verb andar lists the definition but not the conjugations There are a few others that I have come across as well Great app for the price                 Useful app for learning a new language unixmonkey

Firstly this review is for the full paid version not the free one This generally is a very handy tool and if the word you want is in there everything is great Sort of amazed that some common and essential Spanish verbs like andar are missing Andar is usually considered on the the Top 55 essential Spanish verbs Merendar is also missing Seems very odd to me I only used the Spanish dictionary part so this is not a review of any other language                 full version missing essential Spanish verbs mngeezer

One World Dictionary is a great application I m learning Spanish and it has good support for conjugations it s well put together and has reasonably complete word lists My primary complaint is with the popups asking me to rate the application It does have an option to Don t Ask Me Again but unfortunately it doesn t work If not for the annoying popups which I am writing this review to get rid of it would be a 5 star application                 Works Well but annoying Matt.LastName

This is a great French dictionary for my French I course It conjugates all the verbs always gives proper genders for nouns and has a really intuitive interface The breadth of the words seems to be fine for my course but it does seem to be missing some words I have set it as a keyboard shortcut with Alfred and it is quick and easy to access much much faster than a written dictionary great app                 Great for French I Izerberis

The free version is quite good and with a system wide keystroke to look up a highlighted word it is also incredibly rapid If a word I need is part of the paid upgrade I usually flip over to Google Translate instead However if I continue to use the product regularly I would seriously consider purchasing the upgrade                 Great quick dictionary Ben Gallarda

I keep the One World dictionary window open as I study Rosetta Stone since once in a while there is a word that I just can t get I would like to see all spellings used such as plural and tenses defined since it is difficult to find a meaning when you are in the dicitonary dark                     love it Leanchar2

for the people complaining about the price thats to be expected theres not a single foreign language dictionary for free that I can find the app is ok i use the spanish dictionary and there are quite a few words missing so if I don t have internet access to use google translate I have to wait to find out which gets annoying So please One World update frequently with more words Also every conjugation of a verb just says for example with juegas conjugation of verb Jugar It would be helpful if instead it linked directly to the root verb and highlighted the conjugation I ll give it a 4 or 5 star rating if you add a more complete edition of the spanish dictionary and make a few tweaks Since I bought it almost a year ago there hasnt been any major update a little disappointing         ok lot of words missing Kennysudbang

i like that it has different languages that you can choose from however still learning it and don t know how to keep it on my desktop despite that it has most of the words i usaually look for in spanish it great                 good for quick usage lifegives

I have been using this dictionary for a few months and it has proved to be a great resource for my French class The app has Spanish German and Italian but this review is based on my use of French The basic dictionary has a good size database sufficient for first and second year students The translations include French noun genders type of word and most entries have a few meanings The free version doesn t have a lot of usage examples but you can upgrade to comprehensive version from within the app or 10 Verbs are conjugated in all tenses like in one of those 601 verb books Once the dictionary is installed you can lookup words from Safari with ctrl click I like using this when reading Le Monde online This update has a phrasebook with categories for traveling customs hotels etc There is a category called My Phrases to let you add your own The button to add phrases is hard to find check upper right of screen All the phrases including your own can be searched by keyword An extended phrasebook is also offered as addon You can listen to dictionary words and phrases using text 2 speech You ll need to download the French voice if it s not already installed on you Mac I would like to see phonetic pronunciation in the future for when I m in the library and don t have my headphones Overall I ve found One World Dictionary to be very useful for learning French                 English French dictionary phrases Briana Rollins

It s a quick and free download to check this out and that is a good thing However the sample screen shots seem only to show the app after one has purchased the in app dictionaries admittedly low cost at only 9 99 What is not shown is the fully free version which inludes a list of words in the left pane and the translations are freely available for some words but most have a little lock symbol next to them indicating the dictionary must be purchased for those translations I understand how this frustrates some folks but the app is FREE after all For a simple list of words and translations this app is probably OK if you see it as a 9 99 purchase and get the offered dictionary for at least one language For most users I suspect the free version will be inadequate For a more complete dual language tool there are better options available albeit at a higher price Having tried this low cost option I am now headed to the Ultralingua app myself The iOS version is great and I want that capability on my Mac             Some free definitions but most must be purchased GrooveCurrent

I travel extensively in Latin America I bought an iPhone dictionary made by same vendor liked it and decided to get this one to look up words in emails and reading docs The Spanish Dictionary could use more usage examples but overall I think it s good value and beats paper dictionary by a mile This is a real dicionary with multiple meanings for words part of speech gender not just a word roll It s got a nice feature to lookup words from within Safari Ping developer if you get stuck on this as no user guide J                     Useful Dictionary Good2TX
