Just a great little game Ignore what others have said about iap it s COMPLETELY optional and this is a full premium experience The obvious parallel here is ftl The battle mechanics aren t quiiite as sharp as that amazing classic but they re closer than you might expect The thing about it that is actually better than ftl in my opinion is that this is NOT a roguelike It s an open HUGE universe with lots to do Progression may be a weeee bit on the slow side but it feels pretty fair The thing I think is most needed here however is a pause button for battles I gather the dev probably wanted to keep the battles moving given how many you must fight compared to ftl but it would greatly help make tactical decisions in the middle of a hectic battle Especially when you re trying to pick targets on the other ship and toggle back to keep your crew alive at the same time I used the pause button constantly in ftl and I find myself really missing it here All in all a great premium experience and a fantastic value at 5 Support premium devs by buying this little gem Just give us that pause button and this would be one of the better games on the whole app store                     Great OPEN UNIVERSE ftl Sopants

Device iPhone 6s Plus I don t buy mobile games but this one grabbed my attention with it s Faster Than Light like gameplay footage with adorable animal characters I figured why not it couldn t possibly behave like the Freemium games I m used to playing on mobile since I paid five bucks for this one right The game continues to feature in app purchases even after you buy it In game currency is slow to come by and upgrading your ship feels like a grindfest because of it Again I would expect that sort of thing from a free game not one with a price tag Additionally there have been several moments where the game has altogether frozen soft crashed where the music is still playing the idle animations are still running but nothing can be interacted with I have to fully close out the game and restart it sometimes losing a little progress This game is disappointing to say the least It s rough around the edges and still feels like a grind filled Freemium title with in app purchases Would not recommend         Acts like a Freemium title but isn t free Differus

My biggest Con with this game is that I pay for games to avoid pay2play This game asks for money up front and then continues to ask for money for in game functionality Including getting crew reviving crew the essentials to keeping your ship going The tutorial is very buggy if you aren t patient and click exactly when and where it says to click the game freezes and you have to close and open On top of that the accessibility in this game is far from user friendly on mobile devices There is no zoom option so it seems ideal for iPad but difficult on a phone much less for anyone who may have sub optimal eyesight The squares are smaller than the letters on the mobile keyboard Overall I have never asked for my money back on a game in over 2 decades Now I think I will I gave this 2 stars because it is a great idea of a game Just poor execution for customer retention I would have been willing to pay more money up front for not having to keep paying         Interesting appeal asks for more money Jreames

I think the Devs are on the verge of something great here but a lot of the game feels a bit unpolished The IAP model is a turn off but other games have made it work so I ll give them the benefit of the doubt that there s enough content Check Rogue Wizards for an example of this Some points Please take these into consideration and make this game rock 1 game feel the game needs to be snappier there are a couple of seconds where the game takes control from you to highlight something or point something out or just give you the status of the system you re in There s no reason to do this Text boxes should be added over the UI so you can read them while moving your ship around Jumping from system to system takes an artificially long period of time The game should move as fast as the user when out of combat 2 Drawn art No need to go to a full splash art for every piece of dialogue The drawn art isn t that impressive anyway no need to draw attention to it keep the user focused on the sprite art 3 sliding menus with fixed points are not intuitive When selecting equipment let me just poke what I need without making me line it up with a fixed box Yes you can do this while still sliding through a large list 4 quest rewards please don t make me select which quest rewards I want to claim individually Just give them to me manually Rewards should feel like rewards not chores Either have a claim all button or just give them to me automatically See duelyst for an example of this done well 5 combat if you re going to take inspiration from FTL go all the way Let me know which targeting reticles are associated with which weapons by color or some other indicator Consider putting a pause button in where orders can be qued up Feel free to contact me if you want me to clarify any of this I ll reach out to you through email             Rough around the edges IAP model is a turn off Peteman126
