The maps themselves are quite stunning though the interface to access the via the list is a little cumbersome I would also like to see more content in here rather than a repurposing of maps that may or may not stay up to date nor have any added functionality or media Not that useful when outside of a park so doesnt work that well as an inspirational travel app in my opinion Nice maps not much else

This app did exactly what I need it to do easily download the maps of National Parks I visited in order to provide a easy reference without having to constantly pull out the paper product I used it in several recent trips to different National Parks and really enjoyed the GPS enabled aspect on my 3GS iPhone such that an arrow indicator automatically was placed at my position relative to the location on the map This made it very easy to quickly verify what trail intersection had been reached It was well worth my 99 purchase price for v10 Useful App for walking the National Parks
For the price and what it does the app is not bad However the map selection is sorely lacking and the app hasnt seen an update in over a year Thinking we probably shouldnt hold our breath for new maps Maplets is another app with similar functionality that seems to have inactive developer Id easily give this app another star or two if the map selection was improved Cool app but map selection too limited
Works But not well I would like some onefinger zoom in and out contols like the maps in motionxgps Presently you have to pinch in and out to zoom the map I like apps that allow one of your hands to roam free I also want the option to download all the maps of a given state or just all of them period rather than download them one by one Apps are supposed to make our lives easier and more efficientnot more repetitive and pedantic It would also be great if we could see where the parks are in the context of a state map rather than just a word list of parks in each state Good first effortbut loads of room for improvement Ok but featureless
This app dose nothing that logging on to national parks website dose not do In fact its worse All it dose is just show you a map of the park and some unless striped down map keys It is wicked blurry when zooming in Dose not show you the other trails in the area You can see them but have no clue how long they are or really where they start DO NOT BUY

Excellent App You get more than you pay for Others may whine and complain but while the maps are free in the park they dont GPS track you like this app does Suggest adding a my location button that slews the map to your locationespecially for large parks Be advised you must select and load the applicaple map at least 1ce before you loose signal in remote parks Park Maps

Something broke in this app I can no longer download park maps This was an incredible resource in the past for me in visiting a number of National Parks especially since it is rare to get cell coverage within a park Sure hope this app gets updated Really it was 5 Stars but it is broken now Okay used to be a fabulous app
After downloading the new version of Park Maps iTunes says it was not installed on my 2nd Gen iPod because it requires a newer version of iPod software and iOS 43 can not be installed on the 2nd Gen iPod So I will be sticking with version 10 Version 11 no longer compatible with 2nd Gen iPod Touch
This app is nothing more than a paper map on your iPhone If they have a map for the park you need then this app may be useful The maps are VERY nice and the quality of the zoom is very good But again the app does provide anything more than a paper map you can zoom in and out on Paper map without the paper
It does not work for us Verizon folk It works for ATT users only I wasted my 99 cents and I hope you learn that before you bought this crap and realized it Besides that Apple should have an indicator to show on the App Page which network is compatible with what I have a iPhone 4 and assumed it would work was I wrong VERIZON Customers NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY

As a brand new Verizon iPhone 4 owner and user I sure assumed that I had the latest iOS Since I really like National Parks I bought this app Then I found out it only installs on the ATT iPhone iOS 43 I sent a message to Big Air Software support about it but was ignored Well it cost me 99 to discover that this is a company I will never again do business with There are lots of other map software companies out there Ill do business with them Should be more clear about iOS version required
Will keep in strong hopes that they add state parks and forests Right now it is useless to me Needs more maps
This was a favorite app until an iOS update killed it I hope the developer finds the problem and solves it Developer neglect
It is not meant to be a hiking map but it is a good overview of the parks I downloaded the parks we were going to visit It was helpful to have a layout of the park see where the visitors center and campground were located especially when we were arriving afterhours
Found it very helpful A phone number for the visitors center would be a helpful addition Park Map Ap does what it claims

these are national park maps These are the free maps they give you at the visitor center not topo or other maps Well worth a buck just to have them all in one place Exactly as advertised

Was in Yosemite for five days and used this a fair amount There are bothe Yosemite whole park and Valley Detail maps available GPS worked well very handy and convenient Augments but does not replace a paper map which cant break Good app for Yosemite

I love this app I have been to over 200 National Park sites and this app has really come in handy I am not sure what issues everyone else it talking about I downloaded it and I can easily look at park maps the kind you get in the park brochures for just about any NPS site that has roads I was surprised recently to see that it must have some king of GPS link up because it shows an arrow on an iPhone 5 that points where I am even when I dont have cell service Great app for visiting many National Parks

The app crashes whenever I attempt to download any maps So I am unable to use the app Total waste of money Cant load maps
This past weekend I was up at Voyageurs National Park with a buddy and lost our trail whilst doing some hiking We were about 45 miles from our campsite we estimated and had about an hour of daylight left Signal was non existent but Park Maps pre loads a PDF of the map so you dont need signal for it to work amazing The app told us our location in the park and we used this to get back to our site Without it we certainly would not have made it back in the dark and that night it was in the 20s with sleet and snow THANK YOU FOR THIS OUTSTANDING APP One of the best in the whole app store Saved my life Seriously
I cant get the program to function in my new iphone Downloaded it two times will not download the full version even tho I paid for it sent two messages to support and got no answer Save your money and time DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT I can plainly see that some folks have gotten a version that works I was not so lucky Have a nice Day Dont waste your time and money No support either
I would prefer that the maps were preloaded into the app instead of downloading them every time you want to view one Also the rendering on a 3G connection is poor I was expecting a Google Map Version for National Parks instead I received a poor version of the Maps off of the npsgov website Park Maps needs help

Sweet Ive been collecting these paper maps from entry gates and ranger stations for years Its nice to have access to them all in one app Well worth the buck My only gripe is I would like to be able to rearrangeorganize my downloaded maps Otherwise Perfect a dollar well spent
