PCM Recorder MK II

Dont believe what the other reviews said you can totally transfer the files from this app onto your hard drive using ITUNES You dont need to go through Soundcloud Heres how Connect the phone to your computer open iTunes select your iPhone from the menu in iTunes select Apps then scroll down to the File Sharing section Im a professional radio podcast producer and I use this app a lot for onthefly field recording For an iPhone app using native hardware it works great              Powerful and easy to use

No way to get the files from your recorder into your computer Incredibly stupid Especially for Tascam     It makes great files you cant have

Works great for me even with mono builtin mic To those of you saying it wont play back you have to turn the speaker on within the tascam app By default it disables audio to speaker so it does not feedback during recordAfter you record or select a filem turn on speaker button              good simple recorder

Why do not crash other recorder app if I remove my stereo tascam mic Why the only sharing option is the Soundcloud This app is totally useless dont waste your time     Worst app ever

Bought this mic for cheap for iPod 4 iOS 616 and iPad 2 iOS 711 Waited for updated app for 2 months and for what Doesnt play back doesnt share and even if it did share the only option to share to is SoundCloud Trying to get this thing to record is a puzzle that involves me removing the mic and rebooting app Please have an update soon     Welp the app youve been waiting for stinks

Only records 16 bit files To play back files you must remove Tascam mic Each new file defaults to no speaker output        Tascam PCM Mk II

This is a great app People that complain about it crashing or that cant use steep function arent reading instructions and learning how to use the app You must have a stereo source and appropriate attachments to use the stereo rec function To file share organize sound files etc you just need a few min to learn the app I only gave it 4 stars because you can ONLY share files via sound cloud They should have a function so you can plug directly into your computer and grab the files to move them easily              Great Must read directions

The recording portion on this app works great but I cant do anything with it I cant crop it I cant add or delete and worse of all It will not let me email it or upload it It fails every time        Very Disappointed

Please bring back the last version v103 for the TASCAM PCM Recorder app I compared both versions of this app TASCAM TEAC and the TASCAM had a slightly shorter load time The remaining recording time differed on both of them Im assuming the TASCAM version was correct although I believe TEAC is the parent company I believe if the PDF manual was simplified or a quick tutorial was builtin to the app less people would complain about it Many people dont know about hitting the recording button twice to record or hitting the speaker button to playback the recording The TASCAM PCM Recorder v103 was actually pretty good It was just NOT user friendly to novices With some trial and error you can actually make it work very well CD quality 16bit 441kHz is still very good I still use the old TASCAM PCM v103 app almost everyday with and without the TASCAM mic attachment If they had some other builtin features like Zooms Handy Recorder app that would be great as well        Pls Bring Back v103

No audio when recordings are played back and no way to get the recordings off of the phone unless you use Soundcloud FAIL     Unusable

Im all about stereo and while this looks like a well designed app it does not recognize my Blue Mikey stereo microphone so it is useless to me     Does not recognize Blue Mikey

Please do not read the 1 star reviews These people do not understand how to use the app or are looking for features that simply dont come from FREE applications I use this app on the 5th Generation iPod Touch with iOS 7 or whatever the latest version of 7 was before iOS 8 Our event support team uses two iPods each loaded with this app for recording events straight from our consoles using the Belkin GuitarConnect Cable It produces an uncompressed wav file that is easily transferred over to my computer via iTunes I can then edit and distribute my audio files from the computer It would be nice if the interface got an update for iPhone 66 resolutions to use with my personal phone and an update to share directly to Dropbox would be legendary but I am fully aware that this is a free app and I can deal with it as is Overall this is an awesome app if used with the Belkin cable mentioned above and recording straight from an audio console I cant speak for the apps ability to record straight from the iPhone speaker or from a TEAC iPhoneiPodiPad interface mic Thank you for reading this              Excellent App

Uploadinglogging in to soundcloud is impossible to do without making the phone crash What good is a PCM recorder when you cant access what youve recorded     Terrible

The app does not usually work but supposing you can get it to record for an hour good luck sharing Soundcloud timeout is the only message I get I have installed it twice with the same bad results Simply useless     wretched app

First of all thanks for releasing this app for free It is a nice recorder clean interface and simple file management It gives you professional control over how you want to record with input level fader limiter locut etc People that dont read instructions nor understand how Apple devices deal with sound inputs should shoosh The iPhone multimics are technically mono so you wont get stereo recordings from them To get a nice stereo recording try a nice stereo mic like the ones by tadaaa Tascam After that just IGNORE your SoundCloud account and use iTunes file sharing there are some reviewers too lazy to try even the simplest tasks Good sound hunting              Great simple app lame reviewers

Works in stereo with tascam im2 mic on 4S MK II wont upload to Soundcloud on 5c error 422              Great until update

Doesnt seem like that problem was completely fixed at least not on the iphone 4 on iOS 6 Otherwise sound quality and user interface are very good           Still stops randomly

Randomly but frequently the software sets itself to mono and wont change It even seems to hang much of the time Need a newer release     Sticks on mono for some reason

The review and image say this app will allow you to record in stereo but I dont see that option Im on iOS 8 Is there a solution or a better app           I need Stereo

I downloaded this app to work with the Tascam iOS mic I purchased I had to use a 30pin to lightning adaptor to connect it to my iPhone 6 and then I was up and running The app is simple to use hit record once to set your levels and then once more to start the recording Really could not have been easier When done just plug your phone into iTunes and transfer the file to your computer A on this one Tascam I own several other Tascam products and have been happy with all of them this app is no exception                 Works perfect
