Best iPod touchiPhone game out there A must have worth every penny spent                 Awesome

I am liking the game so far Lots of fun and great for those times when youre bored I have no idea however how to get in the dungeons Any help there Suggestions 1 Autosave it would be easier if the game would at least auto save when you level or after a rest 2 a compare feature that will at least let you know which seems better or about the same or something like that Other than thatand of course the fact that I have no idea how to go in the dungeonsgreat job              Good so far but some suggestions

i bought this game after playing the web version of it the web version is okay too there are a couple of things that i find wrong with it 1 there is no progression of your own character the monsters get stronger and stronger but your character does not he has the exact same stats as he did when he started health being the only exception 2 it would be really nice to know the stats of the item before equipping it it would be okay if you could pick up the item after you drop the old one and check the stats of the new one 3 every time you leave the map it reloads itself while that is a challenge in itself i think it would be better if it only reloaded after you rested that would make you focus on more items to carry and add more strategy to it for now all i do is go out one or two screens keep on fighting and then go back and rest i gained enough money to rest easily it would be nice to see a little bit more details as well whether you had to access them on the website that would help drive traffic to their site as well for 5 it is an okay game i think the value would be better at 2 or 3 and i would have never bought it for more than the 5 just my opinion of the game so far           it is fun and okay but not enough progression

What a pleasure to find this little gemshades of Nethack Moria ADOM etc I foresee many hours of enjoyment for gamers who get that the characters onscreen representation is not even remotely as important as what the character DOES and who understand the rewards of the time and patience required to develop a character Not for everyone certainly but the developer has made at least one geeky nicheplayer squee today                 Oldschool Goodness

I tryed lite it was fun so I bought it so did my brother he got so adicted to it from the first And common the death thing isnt that bad So I say BUY IT              Loved It

I bought this because I normally enjoy this type of oldschool RPG but I feel like I wasted five bucks First your character always looks exactly the same regardless of what race and class you pick Nothing is optomized for the iPodiPhone some of the tutorial text goes off the screen etc Theres no sound except some grunts and oofs Overall the game just feels completely unfinished and very shoddy There are much better games in the app store for far less Save your money and dont buy this one This had potential but needs lots more work     Horrible

Basically the game is set up so that when you are changing maps you cant be hit So all you have to do is move diagonally between maps to explore the whole game Other than that the game is fun                 Excellent app except for the explore cheat

I really enjoyed this game and after reading the reviews knew it would be a more old school zeldastyle game I like the repeatable levels and the save option is easy so Im not worried about autosave features I usually cant play it long enough where its a factor Great game btw for quick moments to kill Biggest suggestion I would make is please add a comparison feature for weapons and armor I have no idea if linen is better then wool or blessed iron is stronger then magical steel etc or even a drop down chart would be great I dont seem to have the attention span to keep track of the different weapons stats as I equip them so usually end up equipping just by how cool it sounds and only afterwards find out that it was worse then the one I had A sell feature in the store would be nice too as not all of the items are pertinent to all classes Nice job though Any new world additions coming              A good challenge worth the just small suggestions

I thought by downloading this game I would find a old school RPG I did Although it is a good bone to toss to those who loved Classic RPGs it has some lacking qualities One of which many has stated the inability to see an objects stats before weilding Second is the lack of inventory for weapons for example you need to present the ArmorWeapon smith 3 kinds of material based on their occupation the problem I had was I had to drop a Silvered Linen Cloak and my Blessed Iron Katana which were hard to obtain just to show the Shop Owners 3 kinds of material My third problem with this game is the lack of complete control in ones stats For example I was forced to have 2 Intellengence Points for a 12 Orc character a being that does not have a use for Intellegence or Wisdom My fourth problem with this game is the lack of customization in a character in terms of clothes and looks your character does not even change hisher looks even when equiping a new item A fourth problem that is present to the game is the lack of monsters There are the basic appearance of the monster but no way to know wether if it is a large dragon or a baby one I suggest different sprites based on each kind of life cycle Another problemantic with the monsters in the game is drops and its AI Although the monsters in game grow stronger as you do their is a point where they lose growth in strength seeing as Im level 36 but they posed a challange similar to me when I was level 20 The problem with drops though is due to the fact the game is programmed to drop an item no matter what monster you killed wether it be a King Vampire or Baby Cayote My fifth problem with this game is the lack of townsarmor shops and NPC interaction as well I would like to see more expansion on this part of the game with more Quests and a few puzzles in this game would also be great The last of The problems is the space of the map I had gone through the entire map in 15 minutes expecting the map to move as I had neared the edge I had not it just sent me back to the other end of the map I expected the map to be atleast 20 times bigger than the current one You said yourself in your Blog for Perilar that 80s games took daysmonths even years to finish then why had I finished this game in a few hours In summary of the review great concept but lack of correct excution Also I did not put in critism for Graphics and the high Death Rate since this is a throwback to many 80s Gamers Also another note to the developer if you fix the problems I had listed above your application would surely top the charts           Average RPG

If you think RPGs were invented with Zelda this probably isnt the game for you If you fondly remember Bards Tale Ultima and Nethack download this immediately Perilar is a simple clever wellexecuted RPG that has proven to be bugfree so far Controls are intuitive and its exactly the kind of Nethackstyle CRPG that ports well to the platform Its well worth the purchase price                 OldSchool CRPG Fans Rejoice

I was skeptical at first so I tried the Lite version and found myself hooked First off yes this can be VERY hard at first if you dont heal or rest after fighting Once youve gained a few levels and found some better equipment besides your starting gear you should be good to go Speaking of equipment the one feature that definately needs to be added is stats before equipping Like many others have said before not knowing what youre picking up can be annoying when you end up throwing away something good for something bad Other than that the game is pretty straight forward go out and earn XPmoney heal repeat and find stuff along the way Definately good for occupying your time Also heres a tip for moving around the map without being attacked Stay on the outer edges and move diagnally between the frames You can traverse to anywhere on the map without taking a single hit helps when youre low on HP and need to make it to town              Simple oldschool fun

Fun game can never put it down but it expencive bad graphics and no music              Very fun game

I loved the original oldschool Ultima games For that reason and for the effort Ill give this 3 stars this is a game for players who have fond memories of sosaria That being said this effort is screaming for an update it is so close to being great that I hope the developer actually creates one Namely the skewed combat and equipment system You will die Alot Seriously alot Your char will die 50 plus times before you are able to get to a town Leveling up which is difficult will only power up the enemies Once dying repeatedly becomes a possibility rather than a certainty this could be the best rpg on the iPhone           Perilar

Hello everyone I have enjoyed this game for quite some time It is fun and very interesting to say the least I have recently noticed there has been an update released YAY I thought this game had died So imagine my excitement Mark Damon Hughes please continue to make updates and games alike I will continue to support you                 Fun but short and dead

This is a great old school rpg Good story and great gameplay that is clear and easy from the first Very well balanced and hard enough to give you a serious challenge If youre a nethack fan you need this Its just that good If you played DnD note the lack of an A you need this On short if you like deep RPGs that make you think you need this                 Great old school rpg

Bought this as a Rogue Touch and Ultima fan it is very engaging in the beginning as you explore and build up your character Once you reach a certain point however there is nothing more to do than to just gain levels you cant purchase fancier items there are no more different things to explore and no more surprises I won the whole game after about a week and I am not a hardcore gamer by any stretch The interface is good they just need to add a lot more depth        Fun but only for a limited time

This is not a fancy hitech game But what it is is a seriously welldone throwback to many of the old games I played when I was a kid Questron both I and II the early Ultima games etc Gameplay is simple and straightforward But the game is pretty immersive as you never know quite what youre going to find and just hard enough to be truly like those old games where you were never quite out of danger of getting killed if you werent careful                 Totally awesome

I dont think it can operate on the new iOS5 we cant seem to get it to show up as an app on an iPod touch even though it shows as installed Wasted 5     Does not work

Great game in the style of classic RPGs dragon warrior citadel of the dead wizardry etc This game has been fun but I think it needs more story line and side quests more types of items rings boots etc more towns with different store types and ability to buy and sell weapons and armor rather than just finding them An arena would be cool too with progressively tougher monsters and prizesexperience Please keep improving                 Great game so far

Good Game so far Ive played it i got it last night started playing today Right now Im a level 9 Thief i like the way the game is and Im no old school fan of games like it lol but i do like it First i believe it would be much more popular as a 3 game cause 5 does not seem right compared to other great or greater games on i tunes Second could you make it so poison isnt hard to see on your enemys i mean a different shade of green on top of green is hard to see Third and last could you please tell us if you are going to update this app any more at all if not i think its a shame to be left as a finished game even if i havent played it long           some minor updates would show a big improvement

I am not talking about Ultima Online I am talking about ULTIMA 1 through 5 Its not about the graphics it is about a certain type of gameplay that old Ultima fans miss This game fills a niche for those who love that type of game If you are looking for graphics or a more modern RPG look elsewhere I can only hope more types of games like this will pop up Even an actual Ultima remake                 Great Game for OLD SCHOOL Ultima fans

I was pretty excited about this game after watching the tutorial and creating a character but not so much after realizing that the UI of the game was nothing more than tabbing an 8directional pad Want to fight a bad guy Tap towards it Thats as rich as the interaction gets     Disappointing

This is a great game except for that we cannot hold items that we find The only suggestion is that you give an inventory for us Other than that I have no complaints PS Please make the update free for us UPDATE higher level cap needed                 Awesome

Very cool game It keeps be busy for hours If I recommend something it is that I would help slot if you had and invetkry so that you dont have to drop your weaponarmor and that you can sell your things too because I sockpiled tons of antidotes holy water and rations and I dont use them because I have spells that takes care of that Other than that it is a fun game              Awesome

The developer of Perilar needs to update this game and put weapon and armour shops in it He also needs to make it possible to go over lvl 36 It would be great if he added more races CLICK YES IF YOU AGREE           needs update

this is a great game for any fan of classic rpgs the graphics are simple and the sound is lacking however this game makes up for it in the gameplay department its a simple yet engaging turned based system that works really well also the text box at the bottom adds to the great retro expirence and the fact that you can save at any time is a welcome                 great classic rpg

I played the original Ultima games and loved them Although this game has some of that old flavor the mechanics are broken You did not die 50 times just trying to make it to the first town in Ultima but you do here I am not kidding Those who would say that the nearconstant dying in this game is some sort of homage to oldschool RPGs are kidding themselves or making excuses for sloppy game design        Needs work

I love rpgs myself and have been waiting for one for the iphone This game is very dissapointing No playability at all Everything is random You die all the time Dont waste your money     Ripped off

Pretty easy game Won it twice with two different character classes and it didnt take long With a Mage just sit on the edge of the screen and cast magic missile spells which will allow u to kill monsters that u cant even see Just keep doing this until u r powerful enough to cast the meteor spell The titanium three ring rune staff was the best weapon I could find The weapon system is completely stupid on this game Also dont try to improve armor or engage the old wizard or witch It will cost u a level for stuff that isnt even necessary to win the game To beat the harbinger lord use vanishing spells once the dragons are cleared For the fighter youll need tons of elixirs and holy waters I recommend a weapon like titanium rune great sword or axe There are better old school RPGs out there for less The early ultima games outclass this game by miles        Lame
