This is a standard periodic table of the elements - a necessity for anyone interested in or even exposed chemistry. However, the version differs in that instead of cramming all the information for an element ...
If this had been available when I was taking chemistry I wouldnt have dropped the course Cool
This app is an excellent start The developers have no desire to repair the misinformation Developers PLAESE release a version with a user alterable notation area for each element Well do our own repairs PLEASE READ ME
great application not much fancy stuff but very useful would suggest to add atomic mass also orbitals should have an option to use complete listing such as 1s2 2s2 2p7 not just 2s2 2p7 great app
See title No molecular weights
it waorks fine simple its ok
This app is good if you just want to compare elements and their properties Also the things you need most from the periodic table are hidden away For example the mass numbers for each element are hidden in another more limited menu rather than out in the open Furthermore how can you build a periodic table app and not put give it landscape functionality Too basic
Very utilitarian app covers the basics well No images obviously but enough data to inform a student which I am Unfortunately this version only works in portrait mode either that or Im just not smart enough to unlock the app because my iPad is unlocked which is lame This app NEEDS to be in landscape Fair to middling
It gives a very good idea of the trends found in the periodic table fast and in a visually appealing way I teach college freshmen biology and its great to show the properties of atoms and explain concepts like electron shells or electronegativity I am sure it would be as useful if not more for chemistry professors And its free Great tool
For a free app this is great The display mode is fine Good job You are making chemistry 101 passable for a lot of kids VERY GOOD
Must have for students of chemistryor just the curious like me Clean and easy to useresponds beautifullywith lots of information and visual atom structure Thanx for making this free Great
When u boot up this app it should be one the periodic table not on the instructions it needs to be in landscape and a lot of the information given is not particularly useful off the side boxand some of the useful info needs to be more readily visible Needs a better ui Meh
star One
I havent had a chemistry class in 20 years and yet I opened this app and immediately saw mistakes For example the first column of the periodic table is properly called the alkali metals but this app calls it the alkali earth metals The app gives the second column the same name which is also incorrect it should be alkaline not alkali These are small issues but seriously Id be crazy to use this for any real purpose other than entertainment if it cant even get the small stuff right I want something that will give me right answer Errors how can I trust this
Orbitals are displayed in a weird fashion and some are wrong There is no orbital designated as t The only orbitals are s p d and f In the Lanthanide family the number of the electrons in the outer shell stays constant 2 electrons while the number of the electrons in the inner shells increases as the atomicnumber increases This app shows an increase in the number of electrons in the outer shell Full of errors
What a cool idea an interactive periodic table of elements You can select an element and view its properties You can also view the properties of all elements such as boiling point This would be an awesome learning tool for the classroom or just for any lover of science A nifty learning tool
Very useful for an engineer It gives all the essential data for a great price Very Good
This is for Saras review First off I find this app to be very useful plus it beats paying 5 dollars and a trip to the book store for another table with less information I recently finished chemistry 1 and 2 using this app at temple university and it served me well for basic information and help finding information for homework For a previous review by Sara She was concerned with what scale the temperature slide bar tool was in The answer is in C the reasoning behind this is if you compare it to s melting point and compare the states it gives you the correct scale For example I did this with Hydrogen having a melting point of 259 I slide the scale until hydrogen changed states to liquid which was at 260 so the scale must be in C But other then that great app for the price and the use for common chemistry information The temperature scale
Free app but not terribly polished Gallium is misspelled Many elements are described as no measurable amount in the earths crust when clearly they are abundant Would pay for a more complete and accurate version in the future Multiple errors at least one typo
All you could expect from a periodic table program Clean and efficient the opening screen is only a minor inconvenience Simply useful
Has basic info but where the heck is atomic mass How could they not include something so basic and integral Meh
works great on ipad nice graphics and interphase great app
Thank you for making a nice informative app for free jh Great app
Does what it needs to But its seriously annoying when you have to flip your iPad around every time because the app does support landscape mode Its Alright
This table has only 103 elements on it Wheres the rest 103
I love this periodic table app It has every thing I want and need but it is missing a couple of things First of all I wish it would great it it would automaticaly start on the table and not on the instructions page Second I would like to see exact halflives for each naturaly radioactive element as well as radioactive isotopes and halflives for all other elements Other than that this by far is the one of the best Periodic Tables for the iPad It is great but it is missing a couple of things
I would prefer the default tab to be the periodic table I would also like a landscape option It would be nice if the app would stay loaded for a bit when multitasking Apart from those annoyances this is a really solid app Several feature requests
yeah all things considered great one thing though doesnt have formal charges id like that D it would make the app a 10 ITS GOOD AND ITS FREE
Who is the nerd who made this stupid app swegyolo Nerds
Everything about this app is inaccurate I have to say that I trusted this app when I first got it But learning a few things in encyclopedias and Wikipedia and I found out this app is totally inaccurate Now I deleted the app and bought a few new apps that I do trust The image of electron makeup of many element is WRONG I am really unsatisfied Hate it Inaccurate
I just downloaded this and I found the orbitals and electronegativity numbers to be different from my book So I think this app Needs to be revised Not very helpful for me Periodic table
A fairly straightforward app that I recommend for the price free If it had more information for each of the elements I would give it 5 stars The feature that took it from 3 stars to 4 stars for me was the temperature slider that activates when you go to the State modethis is slick and helpful for quick screening of pure materials in terms of being in the solid liquid or gas states Useful not awesome
This helps me alot Awesome
The element details should not be in a tab but a section of the Table that can be maximized Maybe a compare feature comparing multiple elements Full chart key the Help tab does not suffice Ability to type in the temperature for state and choices between C F and Kelvin I dont even know what scale the temperature is shown in Other things I cant think of Basically this app is only good for offline viewing If you have an internet connection Wolfram Alpha is WAY better I will keep this for my chemistry class in hopes of a future update Good Idea Needs Work
The information is great and very helpful but it needs to say what temperature scale you are adjusting Also the addition of units on all the properties Needs a little more
Great app Great app
This doesnt event tell you the molar mass of an atom That should be a basic Lame Molar Mass
Doesnt even include atomic mass Not that good
Chock full of information but no landscape view Kinda frustrating Landscape
I recently wrote the author of this app because the orbital information about each element is wrong I didnt go through every element but take a look at molybdenum for example It should be Kr 4d5 5s1 He has Kr 5s2 4d4 The orbital diagram is also incorrect Even Wikipedia lists this correctly so I am not sure where he got his information be careful when using educational apps to make sure they have valid information in them Even the professional reviewers didnt catch this one If you look at his example photos Iodine is displayed The orbital information on it is correct so some of them may be correct Also the previous reviewer is correct it does not support landscape mode only portrait mode I am still looking for a nice periodic table app Like the app but it has incorrect info
Great app Thanks for making it free Nice Job
