The ability to use my iPhones camera or a calibrated photo to preview thousands of gel colors plus compare gels side by side over the image This update is a game changer for my location scouts tech meetings and those quick What gel looks good here moments I can t wait to use it out in the field and on set It s top of the stack now in my iPhones Cine Apps folder One suggestion on improving the app If the apps photo preview feature gave us the ability to selectively erase or paint on an area of the color gel overlay for still photos only not the live camera this would really help in coming up with complex color combos The ability to show Production Designers Set Painters and Props people where a gel color wash will play on a live set would be incredible for an iPhone app Tiffen used to have 2 iPhone apps that allowed masking to a certain degree with their camera filters overlaid on top of still photos They sold it off I believe and it s now called DFT aka Digital Film Tools in the iPhone App Store It still functions the same and I use it all the time I don t know how complex app coding is but just a thought on how to take the app to the next level Have a great New Year Kurt Kurt Rauf Director Cinematographer                     Essential Cinematography App imho Vegasdp

This is an app that I actually am taking the time to rate without being asked to This app is the most comprehensive photo editing app I have ever used and is unmatched in versatility It has a plethora of very editable filters along with the ability to change masks and the parts of the image that are changed You can do anything from blurring a background and bleeping obscenities like on COPS to creating a dark grainy image fit for Halloween horror night level ominous themes This was awkwardly worded but this app is awesome It has the ability to change shadows and do pretty much any parallax and photographic adjustment you could ever want as a professional photographer all on your phone I ve had this app so long I don t even remember if I paid for it but if there s numbers it s well worth the price It will do everything you ask of it and more Give it a try                     Well earned stars Wesley "Taipan" Burns

I own a bunch of iPhone photo effect apps more than 30 I think and the large majority have no subtlety so your warm tone photo looks like like you took a photo with a large incandescent light bulb behind you Tiffen is an honest to God professional lens and filter company for photographers and movies and the results are very nice You can make your photo grotesque if you want but you can also just tweak it a little to bring out facial expressions etc The screen shots look like all the other apps but once you select the basic theme of the filter you then have the option of 10 to 100 expression of that filter 10 at a time so you can repeat the photo treatment if you choose That subtlety makes all the difference                     Professional Movie Company s App Nice Job alwaysmprest

Works great except that it does not save the picture in its original resolution I take high resolution pictures and this app saves them at a lower resolution and the pictures look terrible There needs to be an update where the pictures can be saved at their full resolution         Will not save in high resolution Aikaterine2010

What was a good app has gone the way of some others and limited its usability to only those that are willing to forsake a good iOS 5 1 1 to go to a less good one 6 0 and up Apple is just as guilty as 3rd party developers in this respect A failure to provide for backward compatibility to at least the most recent prior version gets a one star rating So far this app and the others that require iOS 6 are not essential enough for me to leave iOS 5 1 1     Bad developer iOS 6 only Genericnic

Pros Tons of filters for a variety of looks Great UI Adjustable sliders full resolution Cons Some filters are hokey and static the masking tools are not responsive and lag editing a photo can be excruciatingly slow Overall a really nice filters app for those looking for cool photographic effects These definitely can make a boring photograph pop and the processing is very well done I liked some of the filters very much but there were just too many that I didn t use and I had other existing apps that did the process better             Ok Filters just not my Cup of Tea thismiki
