I am sorry to say it does not work as stated on my iPad Mini Retina display running current software     I got it Sorry to say

This app in conjunction with there remote control does not function under IOS7 There support page says they are working on it for over a year Did not see this until I purchased this and could not get the remote to work Thankfully Apple refunded my purchases     Old unsupported app

Love the concept It works great to use light creatively with my photography That is it worked great until new updates Now its useless to me as it freezes on the first main screen I hope the developers update the app I would rate higher if it was useable           Please update

My hardware iPad 2 and iPhone 4s Im using this and other Soft Box Pro apps on my iPad and downloaded the PSB Remote software You need to download PSB Remote to use one or the other device to control the application from remote Together you have complete control of the apps from your iPhone Im using it to shoot some origami that I make Liking the results so far The only thing that is not great is the iPad is not really very bright Im using another adjustable LED torch for topside lighting and this seems to be working pretty well if adjusted correctly not overwhelming the brightness of the iPad screen I will be trying some backlit shots this evening when its darker Im going to give it 4 stars based on my first impressions its working and its giving me the results I was hoping for Good enough for me and pretty cool software BTW sometimes the bluetooth connect is a little flakey its bluetooth its always been a little flakey imo It has not been a concern using the app for me im patient and it has normally connected on the second attempt for me when not the first              First impression is good

This is a nice little app to do some fun things with however the app crashes every time I attempt to upload a custom texturepicture This is one of the reasons I purchased the app which is unfortunate Ill wait for an update and still have some fun with it until then           Fun but Bugs

Controls dont function and alignment of entire app is off No fix for at least six months now The devs have abandoned this app Wish I could get a refund     Completely Broken DO NOT BUY

I like it Havent had chance to use it extensively yet but see a lot of potential for some fun experimentation I like the option to use iPhone as a remote control to adjust settings on iPad so there is no need to move anything after set up One thing that was surprisingly overlooked again in this last update the buttonslights are backwardsswitched for the buttons to flip horizontally and vertically If you press the Vertical Flip button it flips Horizontally and the Horizontal indicator lights up If you press the Horizontal Flip button it flip Vertically and the Vertical indicator lights up Should be simple fix Maybe nobody really uses these options But I like them and its just a little silly to not correct the issue BUT that was about the only issue I have with this app Lots of potential fun and interesting photos to be made in the right hands              Pretty cool

Sorry to say I didnt read the reviews before I bought this app The control screen doesnt work with iOS 8 It takes up only about 50 of the screen instead of filling in the whole screen making it useless As a photographer I was looking forward to trying some new ideas for lighting over the winter and I am sorry to say I just lost 300 Shame on you Apple     DONT BUY WITH IOS 8

Photo Soft Box Pro HD is a wellthoughtout tool thats useful for some interesting effects that you cant achieve with a simple flash unit Its especially useful for closeup photography Crank your iPads brightness setting for best effect Nature photographers will find the light infinitely useful for creating studio lighting for close ups in the wild on overcast days or when the light is dim on the valley floor Try it for shooting mushrooms and youll see what I mean use it as a softbox light table or background in closeups adjust light temperature and vingetting HDMI out turns your widescreen into a softbox use images or art as backgrounds only as bright at the iPad screen gets              Never be without a softbox

This is an application for taking macro shots of small objects or lighting subjects from close distances Used in conjunction with the remote iphone app which works great btw you have handsfree control over how your subject is lit Lots of creative options abound Not sure why people are trashing this app they either arent doing something right which is hard to do or dont understand what this app is for If youre a photographer youll find a use for this                 Really pretty great

Can you provide photo details for your samples are you using flash Exposure I tried replicating your samples with a canon 85mm and the soft box on the iPad comes out dark and the photo is always underexposed In your sample video your using a digital camera Please make a video that shows more detail to taking good photos w this app Thanks           Help
