The app is very nice but there is no support for it on the creators web site I was looking for the manual that the developer has a link to but all they have is information on Explain everything                 I like the app but Thenternet

I disagree with the reviewer who said the creative possibilities are limiting If everything worked this would be amazing for my students However It is so buggy I have to keep biting my tongue when I want to sing its praises Until the last update I couldn t do anything without the app crashing Now the app crashes much less often but puppets disappear randomly tracks I ve deleted will still play even though there is no visible track Endlessly frustrating because the potential is so great Schools would eat this up Please hire a programmer to clean up what you have here the interface is brilliant concept is great design is great and it will really open up possibilities for LOTS of people A feature that would add a lot though please fix existing features first audio import from Garageband             So almost amazing Splarb

I ve had a few students make creative use of the options this app provides but for the most part they find the app too limited to tell stories that need more subtle movements and expressions by characters I appreciate the excellent help resources on the app but the fact that they re so detailed further emphasizes the disconnect between the complexity of the interface and the simplicity of what you can create with it Perhaps an annual contest for animations made with this app would inspire some to push the limit and show the rest of us what s possible                 Cool concept but limited storytelling possibilities Marehaven

I ve been using this app for various projects with students It does have the annoying tendency to freeze up requiring you to close the app and lose the current project We have found a few ways to deal with this problem until MorrisCooke fixes it 1 Start with smaller sized photos I will usually reduce them to 300 pix 2 Immediately after importing all your photos into a project save that project Continue saving after each major movement or photo import 3 Don t give the app too much input at once Move one photo at a time making a recording and then reset the timeline and make your next movement Yes this is slightly a hassle but if impatient 10 year olds can manage to make pretty complex animations it is possible Would love to see an update to address the crashing freezing problem                 Great tool for students There are ways to avoid crashing Petefrak

This app is easy enough for a young child to figure out but can produce high quality animation for artists and animators as well I have tried so many animation apps on the iPad and this is absolutely one of the best The learning curve is minimal and the results are very good My only request would be to add drawing tools if possible And output to Dropbox or box for sharing                     Flexible easy to use great app Lady Pepperell

This is probably the most useful animation app in the app store Sure it has some limitations Once you learn how to use it and figure out all the work arounds it is great I do wish that you could save out a 16 9 aspect ratio video either 1280x720 or 1920x1080 Also using video as a background would be nice Video puppet already does this but it doesnt support very hi resolution output                     Phenomenal App Studio Blackskull

I think this app could have been good now I don t know if it s because of iOS 7 that it keeps freezing and messing up every time I record and stop to the point of me having to restart the ipad every time it s just ridiculous that I got an app that I can t even put to use but want to use         Fix the bug issues please it freezes on playback OddMel

I really like this app Want to do fun 2D cut out animations like S Park This is perfect for it but you will have to spend a little time learning the interface Be sure to watch the tutorials on the developer s website The app seems a little unstable under iOS 7 and it could use some more undo functionality but there is lots of potential here I hope the developer keeps building on it and finds his audience                 Surprisingly powerful Montegoo

The app will NOT export to the camera roll as it claims It goes through the motions all right taking hours in the process but when it s all done and it SAYS that it has successfully exported the movie nothing is there nothing has actually happened at all you ve just wasted hours of your life making an animation that no one will ever see because you can t get it out of the program Such a very basic FAIL that I can t believe they can get away with it     Don t waste your money Freder_58

I m I teacher and I use this to animate short films for my students that need added practice They sit at a separate table and watch interact with the movie I made Thank you MorrisCooke This would be perfect if you could draw and save still shot pictures to the photo roll like in ExplainEverthing I have to use Explain everything to add titles and hand drawn pictures                     Awesome app Jason_Steph

Right from the start using a template I worked as if I was using magazine cutouts back when I was a kid making stop motion animated movies The iPad is perfect for this app and really feels like paper crafts The rendering export comes out nice as well and I hope to do a music video one day with PhotoPuppet                     Both complex and simple Theogore

Wonderfully creative and inspirational Takes some patience to get the hang of things though Online tutorials on the developer s website are great resources The editing is a bit cumbersome in terms of UI but it s on the right track with its iMovie feel Music and voiceovers without having to do the sound track as you animate would be welcome additions The ability to import your own puppets and backgrounds make this endlessly entertaining One can easily use a sketching painting app save in the photo library and import for all sorts of fun Well worth the money                 A great app Zenbones7

Excellent app excellent features Just 2 problems One the built in library of characters is rather paltry I really wish there were a lot more backgrounds and puppets included having to make your own is a real pain The other is the audio aspect I really wish you could make the animation then play it and record the audio as you watch it play back Having to record the audio as you animate with no way to go back and easily change it is a bummer                 Nice Lightbrazer

I tried repeatedly to get an animation to work but in the middle of assembling the layers this app would tell me it was autosaving and i would end up back at the main menu or it would crash completely I would then find that all the layers i had put onto the story had disappeared I finally decided that it was not worth the trouble to continue using this app I wish now I could get my money back     Good Idea too buggy Canuck_Alien_in_US
