Entire segments of simple text have been ignored andor butchered by this app It runs the stats okay but everything else is a problem eliminating the usefulness of the app Id like my money back please     Glitchy

Problem the text becomes blurry on the full screen edit But this is a gorgeous app that is simple easy to use and does what it says it will I also use Pages to write but Phraseology is great when I am working on something and dont want to deal with formatting issues I have a few suggestions though 1 PDF export in addition to Dropbox this has become the standard for documents sent over email etc and it would be nice to be able to draft a few articles in Phraseology and be able to send them in PDF format by email etc Its much more elegant 2 A little button for paragraph indentation Why does nobody think of this 3 While I like the rearranging feature you cant use it to rearrange sentences within a single paragraph Maybe there is some way to change this If phraseology were to implement at least the first 2 suggestions I would not only give this app 5 stars but also not need to use Pages as much which would be amazing I would be a Phraseology convert              Gorgeous and simple but

I was writing a short story that was getting kinda long I didnt close the app in the multitasking bar double press home because I was using it so much I opened it today and half of my work disappeared No idea why or how it happened The apps ability to pull the paper apart and move sentences around is way easier and less stressful than relying on copy and paste The export button will definitely be useful for sending my rough draft over to Pages for finishing touches Pages and Keynote feel very clunky compared to this app           Great for revising but I guess I hit a bug

youre looking for an app that will inexplicably lose 1500 words of unfettered inspiration with alarming frequency this is the one for you On the other hand if youre the sort of person that actually likes their writing to be saved even after momentarily moving to another program this probably isnt the program for you Losing a writers writing even once is unacceptable Speaking for myself inspiration comes in fits and spurts when The Muse actually appears I need to get everything down as quickly as possible otherwise its gone forever To the extent thats the case The Muse may as well have stayed where she was last Tuesday as this program flushed the fruits of our labor down the etoilet The junk mail about overseas Viagra purchases and fatburning kits are more safely memorialized in my junk box than the material I typed into this program UnFreakingAcceptable     If

Just got Phraseology and like all the features I like the fact that I can copy to the clipboard a blob of text from another application such as iAnnotate PDF Editor paste it into Phraseology for properphrase editing and return it to iAnnotate Phraseology complements nicely and effectively my favorite PDF editors iAnnotate and GoodReader It is a great addon tool for editing PDF documents Love it           Great App

I am an aspiring writer and have filled my iPad with countless Apps seeking that special application that makes editing and rewriting easier I have found it this is it The interface is easy and the moving around of sentences and paragraphs is the best thing I have experience whilst writing my novel short stories and even school papers Highly recommend                 Amazing

One of the best markdown editors for ios with the added benefits of the Arrange sentences and paragraphs function the Inspect metadata function and grammar parts of speech syntax analysis Editing is smooth with great cursor movement word and character and text selection keys Also great HTML view of markdown some good sharing features openin print email copy link etc The document version feature with Dropbox is okay though I wish syncing a file could be set up with any Dropbox folder instead of just apps What this one needs to rise above the others in useful value is the addition of a markdown shortcut keyboard row and some more see latest upgrade markdownfriendly bluetooth keyboard shortcuts                 Regular Upgrades in Useful Value

I love this app and I would love to make it my primary writing app however without proper Dropbox or iCloud sync it is just not practical Three stars because it does not have sync and it will continue to sit buried somewhere on my iPhone forgotten and unused           I want to adopt this app into my work habits

I got this app for my 10 year old for the syntax feature But it doesnt seem to highlight misspelled words Is this feature missing from the app or do I just not see it              Spell check

App doesnt recognize files in the Dropbox wont create or save files in the Dropbox unusable to me Colors for syntax highlighting difficult to see     Dropbox doesnt work

I dont want to have a new folder in the root of my Dropbox account for every app But phraseology requires me to create a folder just for it with no option of where to put it           Why mess with my dropbox

25 stars for interesting writing features like partofspeech specific highlighting Not recommended if you need simple Dropbox storage and editing though I dont need to save 14 version histories thatre going to make a mess of my Dropbox I just want to store the current version so I can access it from my PC Sorry guys I love the idea of the app and I want to use it but straightforward Dropbox editing is something Ive come to expect from a writing app and I cant use anything that lacks that           No simple Dropbox storage

I really appreciate the basically useless update that deleted all of my work both in progress and archived Im a professional writer and I need something reliable After Drafts failed on me I thought Phraseology was it for the longest time I was wrong and sad that I wont be able to trust this otherwise wonderful writing app anymore I guess thats somehow Apples fault though right Just as I was told when Drafts went kaput     Thanks

Its really a very nice text editor and has some great features But its missing two very important features no iCloud or Dropbox and no folderssub folders These two are deal breakers Sorry Ill come back when I see these two added           No way to organize your docs

I dont write many reviews but Phraseology is a terrific app that keeps getting better and better There have been some issues before such as very minor slowdowns and losing the cursor below the bottom toolbar when typing via a bluetooth keyboard but those issues have been corrected with this latest version The tools available in the toolbar are great especially the text selection tools and the new spelling option is great The sentence and paragraph movement tool is very clever and useful If you are looking for a minimal text editing app that has builtin Markdown support Phraseology is great It would be easy to argue that Editorial is more feature rich but Phraseology seems focused on empowering you to write quickly and write well Highly recommended     Keeps getting better and better

I hate this app I liked it at once but I just updated it and all of my writings were lost Do not get this app if you want to have all of your writing disappear I am a young teenager and I love writing poetry and learning from my previous pieces and I am almost to the brink of crying over my lost works This has ruined my day and changed my view of this app     Horrible and Disappointing

I was hoping that it would break up sentences based on punctuation instead of by returns It is great for rearranging paragraphs but i thought it would let me rearrange sentences Unless i write each sentence on its own new line it doesnt really do what i want Would give 4 stars if it had that as an option              I love this app but was a bit disappointed with arrange

Ive tried all of the topselling apps for writing in the iTunes store I use the apps for journaling creative writing and lesson planning I liked some of them quickly deleted others of them and continued searching because I wasnt entirely happy with what I had Phraseology is the best Ive found I am most impressed by the arrange and inspector features Also theres a nice variety of font styles to choose from and the app seamlessly integrates with other appsfrom Dropbox to Mail The toolbar is unobtrusive and there is an option to make the writing area fullsize so that nothing but your text is on the screen I am also impressed by the support for the app I emailed the developers about an issue that occurred and I had a reply and answer within an hour Phraseology is now my goto writing app with a spot in my iPads dock and I highly recommend that you try this app if youre in the market for a solid app to write on your iPad                 Best writing app in iTunes store

Ive tried virtually every writing app for the iPad but when I heard about this one on the 72decibels network I had to download it Im glad I did It is easily the best of the bunch Highly recommended                 Best Writing App

Ive had several long length documents in Phraseology I enjoy the layout and how the app works But I restarted my ipad and when I came back all my documents were gone They had not synced to dropbox like I had it set to Use at your own risk     Catastrophic Failure

Version 2 of the iOS Phraseology app has so much going for it as a text editor that I give it five stars even without a full search and replace easily solved by TextTool app They do offer a sort of thesaurus replace with integration to their Terminology app The must haves are all here TextExpander support markdown rendering integration with Drafts choice of iCloud or Dropbox undoredo comprehensive openin other app choices and expanded keyboard with cursor control and critical punctuation marks The killer feature which I havent seen elsewhere is the ability to quickly rearrange paragraphs by drag and drop The inspect feature gives you a good collection of text metrics and allows you to highlight parts of speech like and as well as the 20 Writer Pro app which is missing many of the must haves Go get it                 Five Happy Camper Campires

My favorite feature the ability to easily rearrange paragraphs and sentences in an info toolbar This app has great analytics tools built in It doesnt just tell you character and word count it analyzes all aspects of writing including reading level and a breakdown of each type of word used keywords and most frequently used words With the retina update it looks amazing on the iPad Wish it had the font Mercury as an optionthat would be stellar Markdown support is great Phraseology should have bettermore backup options with so many to choose fromI prefer iCloud and Dropbox So far no stability issues              Great editing features for serious writers

Phraseology combined with Terminology results in my favorite pair of apps for all sorts of writing Lately though Ive been getting constant freezes when typing every 10 minutes or so These make me kill the app and I lose a couple of sentences which isnt much but its a major inconvenience when it happens so frequently If they fix this problem Id have no issue with recommending this app              My favorite writing app with some caveats

I like many things about Phraseology One thing I do not like is the lack of proper integration with Dropbox I like the font choices I like being able to work with blocks of text I like the analysis tools But getting my work out of Phraseology is really frustrating Email and Open with are not enough I like the UI although more Markdownfriendly keyboard features would be nice              Not quite perfect for this writer

I am entering college soon and I needed an app that can help me write papers on my iPad I find this app is better than Microsoft Word and Notepad I love how it shows you a Flesch Kincaid readability and ease raiting as well The only thing is there is no save button as it saves automatically That is the only thing that makes me nervous as I like clicking and saving my work manually                 Big change from Notepad

Very good writing app Nice clean interface Doesnt crash on me Doesnt lose files Handles the basics well What has gained my affection is the Arrange feature Much smoother than copymove combinations Very useful for rewriting poetry when all you need is a little tweaking Be nice if there were a punctuation unit subcategory but if that were available Id be asking for phrases next I do wish you had the dropbox integration but better none at all than a botched crashy job              I know youre working on the dropbox

Packs a lot of unique editing features into an unobtrusive design The syntax analysis is great and at least as good as you find on some of the pricier competitors Aesthetically I like having all the options on the left like the spine of a book A great well thought out app The only thing that keeps me from using this as a default text editor is its lack of Dropbox support I use other apps to draft my articles papers and stories and then import them into Phraseology for editing The integration with Terminology is terrific as well                 Powerful editing tool Dropbox please

Phraseology is my favorite iOS app for long form writing I love it Its clean simple and makes me happy to use If you can say makes me happy about an app you know its done right and its easier to say or imagine than to actually produce Phraseology in its latest incarnation supports xcallbackurl in addition to its Markdown support This plus a good number of sharing options make it possible to incorporate Phraseology into a robust workflow and get the words out of the app and to their destination My only complaint is that Id truly like an iPhone version as well as I really do write on the iPhone but its a small nitpick and clearly this UI is designed around and effective on the iPad Great work If you love writing on iPad buy this app youll not be disappointed                 My favorite iOS writing app

Ive always been a vehement fan of editing with my writing on paper and pen but this app makes me reconsider it It embraces its medium both the shortcoming and advantages Its stunning You owe it to yourself to use it                 This is what editing should feel like

When this app works its wonderful However it still crashes I just bought it and got to play around with it for about seven minutes before it crashed I closed out of it and when I reopened it it acted as though it was an empty app I had to delete and reinstall I do like what the app has to offer though which is why I am giving it a three star instead of my typical one star for crashes           Great potential

As a student writing with the correct wording can sometimes be a challenge With this free app I get everything I need to get the correct wording I need all with no ads and no extra purchases                 Just what I need

If you dont know that readability is an objective analytic of prose quality I didnt I suggest the Wikipedia readability article I bought this app because it was highly recommended for what sounded like magical powers It took me a few minutes to see its value I finally pasted what I thought was a readable draft into a document and started pressing menu buttons I saw the SMOG score and two other readability scores checked the Wikipedia article and began to see the apps possibilities In addition to the scores the app has a terrific cutpaste keyboard tool a markdown preview and several word searches and statistics designed to sift through the document vocabulary and syntax No doubt there are even more features And yes there is a spell check The app makes me a better editor still the same old writer though I use it with Drafts and Editorial For what its worth I prefer a multiapp workflow I do not look forward to the day when a fullfeatured Word shows up in the App Store Pages is bad enough to fill that gap dont you think 37 great features rolled into one crappy app is not a step in the right direction                 This app is about readability

20 is awesome especially with the syntax highlighting Aesthetically the update is subtle but really seams to improve the writing environment of the app It should also be noted that at 110 the cost of Writer Pro Phraseology brings definitively superior features only with actual utility and nonimaginary workflow features like url callback support If youre looking for an app to help you improve or at least better analyze your writing this is the one                 Super valuable app at super reasonable price

The program seems to really push the Markdown way of formatting text Love the idea but the keyboard does not make this easy as other programs do The whole idea of Markdown is to save time and make it easy to format text Without the Markdown keyboard characters placed as part of the main window it becomes pointless              Good but

Phraseology is a basic solid Markdown editor with a twist Lurking beneath the sleek interface are some unique writercentric features that you can really get addicted to It does linguistic analysis on your document and can tell you how many nouns verbs etc are used So if youre on an adjective diet this will show you how many adjectives youve fattened up your piece with Or if you need to see if you used a keyword enough times It also does a Flesch Kinkaid Reading Ease and Grade Level analysis as well as a SMOG and Fog Index Writers especially bloggers will find this useful for checking their writing for readability integrates with Terminology dictionary paragraph rearranger just drag them around readable fonts and themes export to rich email clipboard Twitter or send to dozen of other text apps live characterword count web preview TextExpander support landscape orientation autosave Dropbox sync no folders but has archive feature added keyboard row takes up space and isnt that useful              Markdown plus writing analysis tools

If youre looking for a beautiful intuitive writing interface that inspires creativity this is great If youre looking for a writing program that wont break and ditch your work this isnt for you I had the dropbox sync featured enabled it was utterly ineffectual It didnt do any iterative saves during writing ala evernote or drafts so it was less of a backup and more of a comforting gesture Regardless after writing for a half hour it ditched a half hours worth of work after being advertised as secure But the interface etc is great and well designed I wish the program behind it was functional     Wonderful InterfaceFeature Set Will ditch your writing
