Plane Finder AR

I enjoy using this app but I cant help but notice its many flaws I would say about 15 of the flights shown have some kind of mistake in the information shown For example Ive seen planes flying from Dallas to Amarillo and the app lists the flight as Libyan Airlines After looking up the flight details on another app it turns out its actually a Southwest flight Secondly in crowded airspace the flight details get overlapped and there is no way to focus on one It would be great if you could click on the window and it would highlight it for you to see Ill keep using this app when Im bored but Im hesitant to trust the information displayed           Good app with many flaws

Before this update i never used this app now it has logos and where it has departed and arrived I will show and tell my friends about this app                 New Improved

Enjoyable but looking forward to improvements on this idea I give five stars for the concept but limitations allow more of a four star experience at the present Maybe less for some users but still amazing                 Great app

The app continuously shows me information for flights that cant possibly be accurate I live in Texas and it will show me flight data for flights from New York to Florida or Kentucky to New Orleans or even just flights from one part if Florida to another part of Florida If I wanted that kind of info I could have saved my money and made up flight info myself I contacted the help desk via email and no reply It would be a fun app if it were relaible     Cant possibly be accurate

I pointed my phone at a plane passing by to land at JFK and everything showed up right under the plane as it was moving Worked perfectly                 Works great

Its not a bad app look at the screenshots it is precisely that nothing more nothing less Hoping for some future updates              Is what it is

I live in the direct landing path of Los Angeles airport so I was really excited to see if the app worked as described It works well and is a lot of fun to see planes coming and going There could be some improvements like an info filter but the app is great as is They just updated it to feel more like iOS7 Cool app Useful and interesting              Could be good

On iPhone 6 have no problem reading text and no crashes Incredibly cool app Even shows military aircraft and private jets If you live near flight paths and are curious this is the app for you Really Neat Thanks for making such a cool app                 Works for me

I live this app its very well done however my eyes arent what they used to be and even with my glasses I cant read the information about each flight because the font is so so tiny Please enlarge the font in an update Your truly NPE                 Small Font

Its one of the most terrible apps fop planes its so confusing     Worst app

The app is now locked in the camera mode and I cant go to the home screen It was working fine until this happened Sent a note to support about this so lets see if they can help           Locked Up

Im not having any problem with look and feel but a major problem with the data you are showing It seems that MOST of the aircraft now show absolutely incorrect data NO I dont believe that the United flight going from Niagara in upstate New York to Logan airport in boston is 7miles from me in CONNECTICUT and at 2000 feet moving 200 mph NO I dont believe that the flight from Mannheim Germany going to Newark Liberty but traveling 180 degrees in the wrong direction is correct NO I dont believe that the aircraft I can plainly see 45 degrees up is 17 miles away when that is nearly the edge of space What happened to this app Like I said with EVERY SHOWN AIRCRAFT something is WRONG with the data Time to delete it        What did you DO to this app

I live 10mi from an airport this app cannot seem to locate any plane that is at any angle higher than 15deg from the horizon ie anything remotely overhead within several miles so its pretty much useless I contacted the developer on twitter no response I understand there is a small delay in ADSB but thats not the problem here     Not worth it

I bought this app about a year ago as I typically rent a lake house in Western NY and am curious about the planes I see flying overhead particularly at night I have found that I point my phone right at a plane and get no data or its obviously inaccurate ie the app says the plane is at 33000 feet when I can clearly tell its not I would recommend you save your money simply because its data is unreliable        Pretty Worthless

The free version still works fine This version was awesome for a long while but just crashes on opening now I hope they fix it     Crashes every time lately

Uses ADSB Large percentage of aircraft are not ADSB compliant yet nor will they be Not required til 2020 and due to numerous issues that prob will be extended Font on ID tags is so small as to be unreadable     Dont expect every airplane

Information is completely inaccurate Dont know what its reading but it doesnt have ANY relation to whats over my head Font is impossible to read Ive resorted to using a magnifying glass to read data only to realise its totally inaccurate     Not worth your time

Lately I keep getting an error message that wont go away even after clicking the OK button It just comes right backand the instructions state to go to the site but I cant find the info there eitheranywhere What to do              Like it but

This is such a fun app I live on the east coast near the plane routes and across the bay from Logan airport so there are constantly planes to ID going to and from all over the world I hear a plane at night and wistfully whip out this app to find flights to Paris or Athens or more exotic places The only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because as mentioned below its hard to read the small writing              Nerdy fun

I can see aircraft in the sky and on this apps map but it wont show them in the info box Rarely shows me the planes I can see        Works kind of

This app has large icons for the planes This makes it easy to read on the iPhone 6 screen                 Works great

I bought this app several years ago and loved it It works fine but after an upgrade about a year ago I can no longer read it The font it too small When I first bought it I had no trouble reading it I have complained more than once to no avail My eyesight is fine No one I know can read it without a magnifying glass This could be an excellent app save for this problem        Font too small to read

I live in the suburbs of Chicago There are always airliners visible in the sky but this app says no planes in range It hasnt shown even one plane Its worthlessdont buy     Dont buy

Feb 2015 Worked great when I first bought it but now it crashes every time I try to start it Im on an iPhone 5 running IOS 812 Ive tried the obvious stuff like a forced close and reboot but it continues to crash 532015 Traced issue to location services Made sure app had location services on always and had camera on Did a full power down reboot and it works again     Didnt work anymore now it does

Stand outside see a jet flying high in the sky point your phone at it and the screen will tell you exactly what plane it is where it came from where its going how far it is from you what speed its traveling etc very very cool It takes a minute to set up and calibrate but its very simple to use                 Totally awesome app

I recommend this app                 I like it and use it often

I use this app at EAA airshow and the results are so whack For instance several private jets showed they were indian airlines I want my money back Do not waste your time and buy     Barely works sometimes

I bought and used this in Bodrum Turkey There it was ok Now I am in Istanbul and actually a mile from this very busy airport All it says is there are no planes where you are located I am going back to Bodrum and shall try again and report what happens I hope Tia may be of some help to improve        Very annoying and strange too

Waste of money It finds lots of planes but I dont see any of them even in completely clear skies The large planes I do see arent labeled in the app I live in a suburb of Denver     Junk

What a waste of 299 You just get a blank screen with a bunch of blue boxes with writing in it there is no way to tell which box belongs to which aircraft If you try to use your iPhone you will need superman vision to read the blue boxes Save your money use the free app     Plane finder

Been having this app like forever Always enjoy pointing my phone up towards the sky or at eye level to see incoming and departing flights I havent seen an update in a very long time Almost 2 years or so Wish the app had more functionality And more interactivity        Cool app but needs an update

but would be better if you could tap on a flight ID square and zoom in or have it pull up a page with the details of the flight Otherwise at least on an iPhone the type is too small to see what youre looking at           Cool concept

The plane locations are not always accurate but mostly they are It also prompts to be calibrated each time you open it It would be cool if it autocalibrated           Fun Nerdy App

Really a cool app if its working properly I use an iPhone 4S and I constantly have to adjust the compass Im in SE Ohio on the WV border and Im a bit skeptical that Charlotte to Houston flights go over my area or Tampa to DC Yesterday it spotted a flight from Los Angeles bound for San Francisco REALLY So Im curious about the authenticity of it But its still cool           Cool app But

Text needs to be bigger or have greater resolution Very hard to read Also I cant even be sure if Im seeing the right plane when I point it Seems to be off by about 20 degrees           Hard to read

I went ahead and tried this app in spite of the negative reviews and was quite impressed Its not perfect and tends to be slightly off sometimes but there was One time I saw a low flying regional jet over my house put this app to it and a little box appeared slightly below it stating that it was a US Air regional jet at about 4500 feet which sounds quite true considering nearby Philadelphia international is a hub for USAir So I am impressed even though it doesnt work perfectly because it works to some degree and is a sophisticated concept              Impressed

What flight lover would not want to point a phone at a plane and get all the info The information is great but it gives you info on planes you cant see and nothing on the ones you dolove to see some focus on the prize           Great idea needs better execution

to identify the small civilian plane we nearly hit                 Very helpful when flying

but sometimes theres a plane up there with no info Hmm                 Fun with the kids
