Id searched for this defender arcade classic a few times before I found it I used to play this game in the chippy after boy scouts 10p a go Love it Its just as mad fast and exciting as I remember it And thats the frustrating bit Tilting and tapping an iPhone and frantically slamming an arcade machine joystick and big red buttons are totally different input experiences This game should have some newbie levels Im lasting only a minute of intense sweat if Im lucky And also displaying my score at game over would be niceso I can see my improvement Ace find Great fun But frustrating Happy find But frustrated

Loved this game back in the 80s Was hoping it would come to iphone Thanks to developers for bringing it back Snatched it up as soon as I saw it Like the original game Just as fun and addicting But I would make three suggestions for updates and then it would be a five star
1 Fire button definitely too close to bomb button I cant tell you how many bombs I have accidently wasted when trying to hit fire button Maybe move bomb button leave fire button where it is since it is well located but perhaps enlarge the fire button
2 Difficulty levels would be nice
3 MOST IMPORTANT ship needs to be more responsive quicker response to the tilt control Perhaps build that into game or better yet put a variable sensitivity control in the options menuFix this and game would be five stars I played many many hours of Defender in the 80s and I was very good and I know how the game should feel and the tilt response is WAY TOO SLOW and severely hampers the game play If you change nothing else at least fix this I just increased my rating to 5 stars due to update The ship is much more responsive now just the way it should be Kudos to the games developer brings me back
This game plays just like the original and all I can say is that its an awesome game Great game
