This timer app is misleading and does not really add any restrains to you or your phone to try to limit yourself It is just a simple timer just like the one integrated into your iOS except this app has somewhat of a more benevolent style It does not limit your phone playtime or any of the sort Do not make the same mistake as I did Youll regret it I can guarantee it This app is not what you think it is I guarantee you

My kids are old enough that they know how to do work arounds but young enough that they wont buck the system A running talley of hours used and an option to let us add leftover time from the day before if we wanted to Love this app Its the working app Ive found that lets me set an amount of time for the whole day and lets the kids pause so they can save their time for later Wow Really fantastic

The cool thing about it is that the kid controls when the timer is going but they cant play any of the games on there without the timer going So the parent sets the limit but the kid can learn to ration out that time rather than playing their whole hour in the morning and having no time left the rest of the day This app is just what I was looking for There is definitely room for some improvements but since the developer is open to suggestions Im still going to give this a 5 star Perfect for my 10 and 6 year old
The best workaround to Apples lack of REAL parental controls but I still wish the paid app had more basic features For a start a simple log of when date and time the timer is activated will make this so much more useful for parents Please add this Thanks Need some basic features

I tried to disable the sound but didnt work App should lock without sound alert What would be better is to have a specific time control to shut the device off For example if I want my child to finish playtime at 930pm I could set the time for that and also for different days of the week like disabling weekends Soundtime control

I thought it would have been better you need to manually set a time limit each time you give the ipad to your son I would have preferred that it had a set time by me for games for every day that is a limit that would apple even if the child take the ipad by himself Not Perfect

Right now I can control what my kids are doing with they ipads and iPhones They became more better at school All the setup and installation is very smooth and easy it was worth to spend 99 cents Highly recommended Very useful
Weve been using Apple Profiler to try to manage things but that doesnt get us web filtering We used wifi timers and Verizon to limit times but my kid figured out how to game Verizons time control by keeping one messaging app open so that it would stay connected past the time limit Curbi appears to solve that problem as it is able to fully block any existing connections Ill update if anything new is found to report Works well
It was slow at first about a minute but the account was created After that I signed in on the app visited the setup web page on my kids device and all is working well Took my kids device about a minute to process the settings then it started the VPN and showed up for management Sweet little app

The ability for the parent be able to set blackout hours So we could program in their bedtime and regardless of how much time was left on the clock they would not be able to play when they were supposed to be asleep The same setting would work nicely for blocking out school hours set blackout hours
Contrary to most of the other reviews this is the only app that I found that allows mr to limit my sons time on his iPad It is simple to set up ans use Granted it does not turn off the device but the annoince factor of the continual pop ups ans sounds make the device virtually unusable Not bad

Just what I was looking for after figuring out how to set it up Go to settings notification center and select the playtime app Change it from banner to alert Great
Got this app to limit iPad time for my 2 kids Worked great for 1 day Then was unable to turn the notification off It just kept ringing and ringing After 5 minutes I found a loophole If you restart the device it turns off the notification The kids didnt find it but it wouldnt be long until they did Bottom line it would be worth a buck if it continued to work Worked great for 1 Day

This app let the parent control the time of day that the device can operate ie can use only between set hours Control the time of day
Given the fact that iOS doesnt let you completely lock the device I think this app does provide a reasonable solution by annoying the kid after the time limit expires Great App
Do not buy this useless app The app doesnt lock the screen after time is up Its just triggers the alarm and even you dont need passcode to turn the alarm off You can simply double click on home button and kill the app What a waste of money Useless app
This is only a timer When timer goes off it just makes a timer sound This can be muted and the child can continue playing Not helpful

This app sounded perfect but I cannot enter a password I emailed and didnt hear back Do not buy this Password does not work
