Pocket RTA - Spectrum Analyser

I have a parr 3 and it now stays in the bag until I need an accurate spl reading Yes I operate in extremely loud venues I love this app Get it                 This is awesome

The product hangs almost ever time I try to use it The only way to free it is to power down my phone one of the most expesive apps in the iStore and its basicly useless     Dissapointing

This app has taken over for my day to day needs as a Live Sound Engineer Its not only an RTA but a SPL Meter Oscilloscoope and Spectrogram                 Not Just an RTA

This program has limited features and is quite expensive 1 It is NOT calibrated for the iPhone microphone To quote a response from their tech support Pocket RTA uses fast fourier to analyse an input signal so its frequency detection is incredibly accurate however the quality of the internal microphone is far from perfect so accurate dB readings at across the entire frequency spectrum are not its forte In particular low frequencies below 100Hz and high frequencies over 1213KHz are not so accurate We do allow you to calibrate yourself if you have the required test equipment but dont apply any predetermined calibration Right there I wish I could get a refund Other programs are precalibrated for each iPhone model 2 It lets you output a tone or noise but the tone requires you to key in a frequency This makes it impossible to sweep the tone up and down I wanted to use it to test speakers but I cant do that without the ability to sweep the tone Again a quote from tech support Unfortunately Pocket RTA doesnt have the ability to perform sweep tones at present but might be something we will add in future updates 3 The price is about 3x too high Its much higher than others that work better I gave this app two stars instead of one because they actually responded to my questions Unfortunately I cant use it and wasted about 30        Not calibrated Missing features You can find better

This thing rocks I wasnt expecting it to be as sensitive as it is it even picks up whispers It has so many options and the UI on this app is out of this world Im truly impressed and well worth the money Im not a professional sound analyzer but will be using the device to find hidden or unusual spectrums sounds Get this app you will not be disappointed in the least                 Fantastic

I use an LS9 with lots of wireless mics and inears Hooked up my iphone 3gs audio jack to the headphone jack on board via an 1818 patch cable and it isnt switching to that signal Is there a special send cable I need to put signal into the iPhone or a way to switch with application Works great wish the phone had a better quality mic but for quick reads on new venues after long weeks of shows its perfect Price is decent hope it includes customer service           Seems accurate

As my daily job I install and service customers audio conference video conference systems and live audio sound reinforcement systems for presentations 12 years experience This IPhone RTA app is the most accurate and used test instrument I use to setup and EQ these type of sound system to the rooms accustics It doesnt replace every test equipment I say it just another valuable tool I always have with me everywhere I go                 Great price

Not sure which is causing the problem but RTA display is doubled and tiny Unusable Please update for iOS4        iOS4 or iPhone 4 incompatible

For the high price this app is very disappointing I have found no way to save any of the spectra or time traces The snapshot feature does not work on my iPhone 4S I get an error message that says data not available     Very Disappointing
