All other reviews with negative comments are correct You won t learn anything from this app     Good idea terrible execution Pondel
Besides all the other negatives this app doesn t even let you know about current earthquakes that occured 9 hours earlier     TOTALLY WORTHLESS FlacoFace
This app has the potential to be great Aside from it being a huge ad for popular mechanics magazine it barrages you with endless annoying popups of recent or historic events I want to just explore a bit and find out for myself instead it drives the whole time Has a map of only the United States and the earthquakes cannot even be clicked on for more information     Could be better Multidynamic
Yes needs a slow down button or a stop feature so you can examine the quake in question Everyone is telling you this so I m not the only one But nice idea and thanks for making it free             Slow it down Guys macmike100
This app scrolls through recent earthquakes so fast you can t read all the data can t pause it or rewind either nor can you tap for more detailed info on a particular incident It s junk I deleted it Would have been useful here in NorCal if it wasn t so badly written     This is a joke Duchess3421
I second the previous reviewer suggestion Just have the ability to stop the timeline The info flies by so fast I can t even read half of it But think this can be a great app             Great Idea Harmon8tr
Looks cool but with inability to stop and focus on a specific earthquake makes the ap useless the timeline advances so quickly user is unable to learn anything Will keep the ap loaded for a while with the hope for an update to fix this problem Won t use again however until problem is fixed Still waiting         Potentially interesting but currently useless JAG18039
Alaska and Hawaii Missing     Missing AlaskaDon
List of ways to improve your app 1 Give us control over the timeline Pause Play Next Previous ect 2 Give us the option to map earthquakes on map instead of population Also give us ability to remove population 3 Give us the ability to filter out earthquakes outside the US 4 Increase map to entire world so we can actually see where these earthquakes are taking place 5 Post the last time your app has updated its data I apologize if it s posted somewhere and I didn t see it I was so annoyed by the constant shifting of the timeline that I wasn t able to really see anything else Cheers     Great Idea Horrible Interface Sony_CA
Remember seeing this in the PM preview app and thinking it should be it s own app Apparently PM agreed and I m so glad they did Give me a pause button and the ability to view later quakes if I want say a month or even a year s worth and you ll easily get 5 stars                 Good idea Headgamerz
Great idea Nice visuals Too bad it is out of control Please allow viewer to control this runaway video         Quakes DickSwit
This app is a good idea but it is too busy with the overlays that keep changing and will not stop Also is limited to the US         Too busy to read WNLight
This could have been SO great the information would be nice but it is like you have to race to read the info as it slides non stop to a another event Bottom line it is like a cute visual picture that does not allow you to really be curious about one or more particular event So if you are bored and want stuff popping up your screen go for it if you want something cool and informational we have to look elsewhere     Great concept not well designed FRancoisfmg
Why can t we stop the quick scrolling timeline thing and actually explore the map and exam the data in some detail Too limited to be functional as is         Too limited demonicdisciple
This app was a complete waste of time There is no capability to actively track current earthquakes get location data or glean any useful information from this annoying interface The map of the US is outdated There are now 50 states since Alaska and Hawaii became states in 1959 These just happen to be our two most seismically active states I give this app a zero rating if I could                     Waste of time Kkkken
Far below expectations for function and limited for form Skip the ad shell and go directly to gov site which is functional an purposeful     LIMITED JasonPsyD
The timeline just keeps flying by you can t slow it down or stop it Why no data for Alaska There is a lot of information here but there is no way to study it Very confusing and annoying         Gives me a headache jackzmac72
Frustrating that you can not adjust pause skip go back the timeline Quickly annoyed me and deleted the app         Can t adjust timeline JustMe77cc
App is good but you can t get rid of the magazine ad So app is not useable Too bad     quake app Lucky8bel
Very nice looking app It would be very helpful if would let you pause the timeline it just keeps cycling and it s sort of annoying as your looking at the map The other suggestion would be to let the user touch a location and be able to retrieve the info about that quake I think the developer has sone a great job on the look of the app and I love the tilting feature                 Nice app needs a few tweaks though bigterkc
Why is there no way to pause the data visualizations as each flies by All this info is interesting but without a way to keep it on screen to study without it getting swapped out for the next data set makes this app incredibly frustrating While you can manually select a point along the time continuum to go to the app remains in its auto play mode so you see the info for a few seconds before it moves on to the next data set If there s a way to pause this data parade or even slow it down it s well hidden and breaks conventional iPad user experience guidelines         I really wanted to like this app but it lacks simple but crucial features wls508
The app has a slick UI but the complete lack of information on places outside of the Lower 48 in particular Alaska is glaring         App has promise mmx49
Second time I opened it the magazine ad would not go away App was unusable so I deleted     Used once then MathRulz
Only 1MB Doesn t take up any storage at all and thinks pretty quickly Takes less than 5 seconds to install                     Small n good 0102030506070809
