I cot each with several other teachers and on my computer version of power teacher we can be coteachers of the class It would be really helpful if you could make the App run that way as well              Co taught option

This app was horrible two years ago and it hasnt changed a bit It is slow unintuitive lacks basic features from the desktop version Etc     Cant believe Pearson proudly tweeted about this in May 2014

Holy hell Give us an update     Crashing

Overall this app does what I need it to doinput grades However sometimes it will crash on me I will say that mine doesnt seem to crash as often as other reviewers here but it will crash every now and then I have two things about this app 1 I cant copy assignments to other classes I have learned to put in my assignments while Im on my laptop so I can quickly copy them to other classes because there isnt possible while in the app Its just one more step that I have to do to input my grades This is EXTREMELY frustrating However it is nice to be able to input grades while I am doing other things in the class I am no longer tied to my desk so that is very helpful My second thing about this app is that I wish it was also available for my iPhone I would love to have access to my gradebook at ALL times The iPad that I have belongs to the school and I dont bring it home so it would be nice to quickly access my gradebook from my phone and update my students grades from there as well I tried to do this but I couldnt get it to work They have PowerSchool for Students and PowerSchool for Parents available but not the one for teachers I hope that they consider making this app available for the iPhone It would give me another way to access my grades and input them even easier PLEASE           Not horrible BUT not great either

The app crashes immediately upon selecting a class It has been this way for many months This is the reason my district is dumping PowerSchool and the reason why I will not be choosing a Pearson product for our upcoming textbook purchase     Crashes

I was all excited that my district had upgraded to the latest version of powerschool so I could use the attendance in the PowerTeacher app I dont know why I got my hopes up This function simply doesnt work at all and I get a very long error message on the crash every single time I think its shameful that Pearson makes so much money off the American public school system yet cant be bothered to fix an app that the teachers actually use     Taking attendance crashes program

Last year after a month it finally found my districts server to work but this year it is doing the same thing It says it cant find my districts server I have deleted and reinstalled with no success     Wont work

Please fix the issue with only one teacher able to view and use it for a co taught class Only the lead teacher can sign in and use this app The other teacher can not     Fix this

This app was finally working on my iPad this school year then all of a sudden this past weekend I was uploading grades and it totally crashed on me and now the app will not open at all           Was working then it crashed

The PowerTeacher app is very slow some speed enhancements would really help Also I would like to see iOS 7 compatibility There is a critical error When recording assignment scores by Letter Grades when you put in the letter grade type it gives it the lowest point cuttof of the grade instead of recording it as Gradebook Value Example As in our school counts as a 93 it records it as a 90 That issue really needs to be fixed it has caused our school a lot of issues with inaccurate grades We should be able to record and set our own score codes like we can on the computer version of PowerTeacher Gradebook Cotaught classes should be also be visible Enter comments from district and personal comment bank Update citizenship scores Grade and assess standards Seat chart view when taking attendance Not set term value for each corse Copy assignments Improve speed Little features not needed but would be appreciated Enter grades based on seating chart example select assignment and put grades in with seat chart view Thank you for your understanding This app is okay at the moment but once these updates are added the app would be amazing I am sure at the moment Pearson is working on an update it just needs time Once this update is released the first thing I will do is modify my review     Critical Updates Needed

1 Takes forever to load 2 Have to wait for it to load then you must switch to the current year and class and wait to load again It is constantly downloading grade scales etc by time I open this up to check their grade or even change a grade at the end of class my next class would have started     3 years without an update

I love this app when it is working Unfortunately it is undependable and crashes frequently     Great when it works

The attendance feature is not working does not connect to servers on a consistent basis Needs a lot of improvement Cannot log in right now     Expected more

Since the latest iOS update PowerTeacher crashes as it is attempting to load a course It will simply not load a course It only crashes Please fix this This app is amazing but now you cant even use it           Please update for iOS 80

Great for walking around and recording attendance but not useful for recording student performance as it relates to standards If you only use a points system this will work better for you I agree with others who have mentioned the annoyance of always opening to a page without final scores for the quarter or semester and for not being able to use the same assignment name for multiple classes If I just need to check a grade it works for that           Cant record standards

Honestly this app is pretty terrible It crashes a lot Every time you log in it shows grades for the year cannot be changed and when you select the quarter you want it takes forever to load Then when you switch classes it reverts to the year again which is very frustrating Grades also do not update properly unless you go to the website and select recalculate grades which is a pain Last year my students showed me an update to the power school app so I thought a new update would soon be coming but I dont think there have been any updates in almost two years I cant imagine it would take that long to make a functional app for teachers     Not good Not good at all

If it worked it would be great but mine cant even find the district server really     What a waste

Until a few weeks ago I love being able to enter grades on my ipad no matter where I am I am constantly on the go with 3 kids at home but Im still able to enter grades without having to be tied to a computer or staying late at school However within the last month the app has stopped loading my student roster and assignments It goes through the process like its going to load but then all I see is a blank screen No matter which quarter I choose or which subject its all the same blank What happened No recent updates from the past month in my log in the App Store so Im not sure what happened but please fix it        Was working great all year

This app is very slow and often crashes However the greatest danger is that it sometimes causes grades in the grade book to miscalculate Always go back to the desktop grade book and refresh grades to ensure that final grades are calculated properly     Be careful

This app is great and does exactly what you need it to do provided you are in the business of reentering scores staring at frozen screens and discusthrowing iPads due to frustration How is Pearson the leader in curriculum resources This app does what spreadsheets did 20 years ago and by does I mean doesnt do This app could be greatly improved by instead downloading a picture of a blank spreadsheet and then trying to tap the boxes while cussing at your screen Essentially thats the experience except for the fact that it also deleted scores on my laptopbased system as well Cant wait to see what the standardized online tests look like being that Pearson is in charge of running it in our state     Is there a way to give negative stars

Its time to update this app As a onetoone iPad school we dont always have desktops available and entering grades on this app is so annoying Ive given up and went BACK to a paper grade book I just do all of my recording to PowerSchool when I get home     Frustrating

I havent been able to open this app in months I log in and it starts to download everything then crashes before it even opens Very disappointing     Constantly Crashes While Loading

I would generously state that this app works maybe one out of every twentyfive tries And when it does work its only because of diligent attempts to make it work by clicking and reclicking the pages you need to be on Do not be fooled if you download this despite its disastrous reviews and it works fairly seamlessly on your first attempt because it will never work that way again I have tried at every time of day at every location and this thing is downright hopeless Remarkably this is the same company implementing a nationwide technology based standardized test and they cant yet get a single simple app correct Remarkably too someone must have gotten paid for this If whoever created this were a teacher they would have been deemed Highly ineffective and immediately shown the door But of course this app will continue to runor at least try toas is Do not waste the space on your tablet or iPad This is a nightmare embodied in an app     If this is the company creating standardized tests god help our kids

Besides the crashing the unease of use and the turtlelike speed Pearson has shown little interest in upgrading the teacher app while the parent and student app gets improved Even the logo is oldthe message this sends is that in the eyes of Pearson teachers are 2nd class citizens     Teachers Dont Matter

It is so fantastic to be able to input grades on the go and not be tied to a computer I work at multiple schools and dont always have access to a desktop so this is very helpful I have a few issues with it thoughIt crashes when I try to take attendance I dont like that it defaults back to the entire term of assignments when I change classes It also does not show the final grade and does not let me copy assignments I have multiple classes for the same subject so sometimes assignments overlap I have to create the assignments on a desktop because it thinks I have made a mistake and deletes the duplicate assignment Fix these issues and I will give a better score           Really like MOST parts of the app

This app still stinks Doesnt even load my classes Better off using Java version on my Mac     Why is this even in the App Store

There are several features that should be included in the app that are currently not available The current grading term should always pop up It is frustrating if I have to change the reporting term any time I change a class or scroll through a bunch of assignments to add in a recent grade The seating chart should be available It is easiest to take attendance while looking at the seating chart It is available on the desktop but not the app It should transfer over The comment bank that is available for each district on the desktop version should also be available on the app I cant do my comments at the end of each quarter from my iPad which means I have to stay at school late instead of inputting comments from the comfort of my own home As others have already pointed out the copy assignment feature should also be available Many people teach more than one class and it is helpful to simply create one assignment and copy the details from one class to the next        Updates needed

I was so thrilled to use this app with my iPad I even spread the word to my colleagues telling them it was convenient and easy to use I was right for about a week It hasnt worked in a month I cant even get logged in You think a digital grade book would invest more into mobile technology Especially considering the negative app reviews I am willing to change my mind if Pearson is willing to update the app so that it can function        I loved it until it died

I despise using this app The user cannot see quarter scores and semester scores are different on it than when using PowerTeacher on the computer The user cannot copy assignments You have to hit the screen twice before moving onto the next students scores Some assignments publish immediately and others do not still unsure why this is when publish immediate box is checked The category will default to first category on your list when creating an assignment even though a different category was originally selected I only use this app when I absolutely have no other choice     Horribly frustrating

This is the possibly the worst app that Ive ever downloaded It constantly crashes and when it manages to work loads at a snails pace The interface is mediocre at best but I do not have access to any of my custom grade codes This app needs lots of work to achieve its potential     Might be the worst app in the App Store

I have been using this app for three school years since our school purchased iPads I was pleased when I heard that we would have an app that could access our grade books From the very beginning this app has crashed frequently and I rarely ever even close it because it crashes so often When in the app I am unable to load different classes and switch from class to class or move from grading period to grading period without the app freezing or crashing Those are important functions when entering grades Pearson does not seem terribly concerned about these problems as the app has basically not changed since 2012     Still junk

Almost always times out when trying to log in Would love to use it but from all these reviews looks like Pearson isnt going to fix the problems Too bad its a very useful appwould be a great selling point for PowerSchool     Great when it works

When I can get it to load it it does its job It would be more helpful when switching from class to class it would remember which quarter you are in This really needs an update     Not Impressed

I use the app for entering grades but it lacks the ability to copy assignments to other classes I teach 15 classes and would rather use the desktop version for entering assignments because I can copy assignments to other classes Once assignments are set up however I like being able to enter and access grades remotely I also like that the student picture is next to the name With 400 students this is useful I also like the ability to look up student and parent contact information on the go              A Good and Useful App but could do more

This app is pretty much useless for attendance if I cant input lunch count     Lunch Count

Works great but I have two issues that are big ones to me The first is that I cant zoom out so I have to constantly scroll to put in grades The second is that the final grades dont actually appear just 3 lines where the final grade should be           2 issues

HELP App crashed Noticed most persons who have used app for last year are experiencing the same problems Please contact with solutionstried reinstalling but that did not work Everything is set correctly Other new teachers are on it with same information and not having a problem     HELP

I originally found this app to be very convinient I could toggle between my computerand my iPad to quickly grade and input my grades However it no longer open I log in select a class then it crashes Absolutely terrible     Once it crashes its done

I was very excited to see there was an app for Power Teacher Gradebook My district is having many java issues with Power Teacher and it only works on my teacher PC When I got an Ipad Air I was ready to use the app to help insert my grades at home at my convenience and maybe get home by dinner time Not so The app kicks me off constantly when I change classes and has a very clumsy nonintuitive interface Please make some upgrades and fix these issues For the sanity of teachers I beg you     Teacher

This was very helpful when I could take attendance on my ipad but it crashes every single time I try to take attendance now so it the app is basically useless for me Not being a sitatmydeskallclassperiod teacher being able to take attendance remotely is important but now I have to rely on a the browser site     Can no longer take attendance

When I first downloaded the app I could not get it to open because it was looking for the server With the help of another teacher I finally got access but it had all of the flaws other reviewers have noted it took a long time to load and switch between classes and it didnt remember the marking period that I had set Then it crashed and it will no longer open at all Completely useless Dont waste your time     Unusable Dont Waste Your Time

Is this the best Pearson can do This is a corporation that makes well more than 1 billion in profits on an annual basis There are hundreds if not thousands of apps throughout the App Store that were designed by one or two people with virtually no cash resources Frankly its insulting that Pearson puts such minimal effort into an app for the teachers who actually use their products     Seriously

I would love to be able to use this but I cant even log on because it wont let me find my school and the server keeps timing out Its 2015 Why cant these things be fixed     So Annoying
