The most practical astronomy app... The Practical Observational Astronomy App (P.O.A.App) is designed to help with the long nights observing as an aid to locating astronomical objects like the sun, moon, planets, constellations and common named ...
I have other apps that give some good info but this is perfect for finding what you want to view Great layout Thanks team                 Very well done
It loads and dies in iOS 82 Totally useless     Doesnt work anymore
Sky backgrounds inapp purchase were interesting but essentially useless because they were too bright With 210 there is a separate sky brightness slider And both brightness sliders now work easily with iOS 7 The calibration of iPhone accelerometers hence the compass is also much better Developer made these improvements very quickly in response to feedback I like this app a lot more now              Big improvement in 210
February 1 2013 iPod Gen 4 iOS 511 The fourth iteration of this truly toxic app retains the problem of requiring a hard reset of the device upon attempting to open the app Also can see the space for the glaring ads unchanged on the frozen screen Stay away Prior Review iPod Gen 4 iOS 511 This app has a long consistent history of remarkably hard crashes requiring hard reset of the device With the latest update the map now opens but the Settings and Find panels crash the iPod Generally when apps crash one press of the hardware button returns the iPod to springboard Something is unusually wrong with this app The model of an adsupported free version with an inapp ransom payment to clear the ads does not work in astronomy apps because the ads do not respect night vision Having a large glaring strip with annoying moving images across the top of the display makes the app impractical even unusable Such a shame with its perfect redonblack theme Better to create a free adless version with smaller catalogs or fewer features Apple is so lessefaire It really ought to require adsupported apps to show the ads in their screenshots and they should not be called free but adsupported PRIOR REVIEW June 29 2012 iPod Gen 4 iOS 5 Hard crash at launch requires hard reboot of device PRIOR REVIEW iPod Gen 2 iOS 421 Hard crash upon loading at the moment of requesting to use current location Requires forced reset of the device Using iOSs settings app to allow POA app to use Location Services fixes that crash but creates another The app now loads ads first eventually following with six distorted miniatures of what should be seen singly fullscreen on the display but the touch screen is now unresponsive This app needs a new name something readable and memorable not an acronym Even just finding it on the App Store is difficult The screen shots on the App Store suggest something interesting Would love to get this working     Impractical App Crashes iPod
This app is all I could have hoped for in an astronomy app It has pretty much everything The only thing I wish this app had that it doesnt have is a little information on the constellations Overall a very good app for the budding astronomer                 Exceptional app
