I m a professionnal audio engineer I have over 2tb of sounds I needed to convert to m4a lossless format The software works a bit at the start but quickly crash in many ways Error log is full the application locks and crash even worse now the app doesn t want to encode anything crazy I think the developper didn t check the compatibility with huge sound librairies and a multi folders It s really a pain to make it work I m really disappointed because the functionnalities are good multi threading is working     Crash as hell fix it Hiryu 2.0

Just bought this and tried to convert audio from a CD to a file It kept locking up and I would have to force quit Never got it to work convertering directly from a CD in superdrive     locks up K_Down

Just purchased this app and it is posting an error log whenever I try to encode my mp3 s to any format I chose the files to go to its original source folder and a small screens pop out asking me to Allow Write Access I select the Allow Write Access option and I get another screen that tells me that I do not have any write access permission I am using a Seagate external Goflex to store my music The Seagate also contains the music that I want to encode Please help This is my second day trying to use this app with no luck Any suggestions would be great             Error Log issues Moriresvivir78

I have used this app for awhile and converted a lot of flac and other files I like the ease of use and reading the embedded metadata to create mp3 or m4a files which imports into iTunes It does however have problems with OS X 10 9 2 Mavericks where it doesn t work The company is aware but can t seem to find an answer I hope they do             Issue with Mavericks wsrphoto

This app became my go to app for batch converting to whatever format I needed Its quick efficient and haven t had file corruption issues Unfortunately the recent patch has crippled the app and it immediately crashes when you try to run it SO its back to the drawing board and looking for another converter that works as well until the issue with the current patch is resolved Hopefully it will not be a long wait                 Worked Great until the recent update R3V76

Using this to export iTunes music for non apple devices In iTunes I open the playlist I made for the device and drag all the items to a new folder Most of mul files are apple lossless Then in this app I convert to a lower bitrate MP3 and have it arrange by Artist Folder names Then I copy that to my player Works like a charm I like that it can run up to 8 threads with lets me maximize my quad core machine                     Should have bought this first stmind

PAC is one of the most stable functional and intuitively designed app I have ever worked with It handles pretty much anything you throw at it I ve thrown almost every format at it and it has never crashed or messed up an audio file I had my entire collection of lossless audio in the FLAC format and I threw the entire collection 100s of gigs of music into PAC it converted them to Apple Lossless without a hitch This app is the swiss army knife of audio conversion HIGHLY reccomend it                     Hands down the BEST audio converter for OS X JL32BiT

I opened a bunch of music files to change the album title Pro Audio Converter is useless 1 I couldn t select all I had to manually select the songs to edit the album title This breaks the Apple interface standards and is tedious Bad design 2 I changed the album title for all tracks and selected close There is no option to save but close appears to save the changes 3 I doubled checked the info on each track and the album title was edited as I wanted 4 I closed Pro Audio Converter and found that the files were not updated the album title was not fixed It looks like the ability to edit track information is broken Maybe if I convert the songs to another format then it will change the metadata But most of the time I just want to fix the metadata before loading into iTunes because iTunes immediately starts iTunes Match and I want the metadata to be correct for iTunes Match Anyway XLD is free and provides the audio format conversions you might need and is updated frequently XLD also has the best CD ripper available for the Mac iTunes provides all the metadata editing you would need So this is 10 wasted Avoid it     Doesn t work use XLD and iTunes for free Perspicacious

Pro Audio Converter PAC has been my primary app for 3 months now for working with a large music collection My needs mainly include editing FLAC file metadata and artwork for use with a household SONOS system archival backup converting FLAC to AAC Apple Lossless and importing files to an iTunes library for mobile and desktop audio I use a separate app for ripping CDs to FLAC but I understand CD ripping capabilities may be added later I ve used a number of converter apps and tag editors on both Mac PC but have found that PAC meets my needs the best with its reasonably comprehensive but not overly complex capabilities coupled with a straightforward interface Soon after I purchased PAC I contacted the seller with some suggestions for improving v1 4 I received a quick response stating a number of my suggestions were already in the works for v1 5 that one of my suggestions could possibly be added in v1 5 it was and another should be able to be included in v1 6 I not only appreciate the development of a good quality audio file utility for the Mac which was sorely needed but also the willingness to listen to user needs I highly recommend Pro Audio Converter                     Good Audio File Utility App V-Duh
