I got the app for my ipod 5 it didnt work at all My fries got the app on their iPhone And it worked for them but not the ipod If u have the ipod I wouldnt suggest getting it     Only works for IPhone

I thought it was some sort of trick or something but I tried it on some metal things and it worked It says does not have real metal detector functionality but IT DOES DETECT MAGNETIC THINGS So if the metal is not magnetic example tin foil then it will not work                 I am suprised

Installed the program and activated it received a popup saying that this app doesnt work on IPod Touch           Not compatible with IPod Touch

Tried this on an older ipad Removed the case then waved scissors under camera and values rose from under 50 to over 100 Set threshold to 54 and it was a good scissors detector Not going to be able to detect coins at the beach but ipad might make a good display for a real detector        Worked on ipad

It isnt accurate but some how the camera or near that area can tell between metal an a finger I have only tried it in pich black so it doesnt need light Its odd Some people say the phone can sense it but thats obviously not true Because then Apple would make it a feature even in the iPhone 4S Its very odd              Umm

To all you geniuses out there who see the disclaimer that says for entertainment purposes only and write a review stating that you immediately deleted the app despite having used it and saw for yourself that it does indeed work please try just TRY thats all Im asking to use your head for something besides a hatrack The app works it detects metals that attract magnets Anyone who had a Nextel knows the speaker has a magnet in it and the phone must use that to detect the metal The disclaimer is to keep Einsteins like you from using it to actually screen people for weapons If you were to rely on an iPhone app instead of using an actual metal detector to screen people for weapons and one got through without the disclaimer you could potentially sue the developer So even if the app worked 100 of the time on every metal in the known universe I would still expect a disclaimer so that the company is protected from lawsuits Its just common sense and as anyone with half a brain can tell you there is a severe shortage of that in any place where the general public can post what goes on in their tiny little brains Bottom line app works but they know dumb people will try to sue after they do something dumb                 Disclaimer is for LEGAL reasons ONLY
