I love this game but the program just crapped out after macbook pro update to 10 9 4 The problems seemed to begin in the theater level when I tried to take the boat in part 1 of the bad mail delivery scene to part 2 When the scene attempted to update the game would crash After several restarts and getting to the scene via a convluted path through portals and chaning the mood lighting I was finally able to get to part 2 When switching the mood lighting back to happy I entered the portal to get the upper figment in scene 1 There was no problem going through the portal and back to scene 1 but then whenever I tried to move in any direction jump or perform any action I was transported back to scene 2 After trying to overcome this several times the game crashed and keeps doing so everytime I want to start up I am given the following message The last time you opened Psychonauts it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows Do you want to try to reopen its windows again If you choose not to reopen windows you may have to open and position the windows yourself I have tried both reopen and don t reopen options and the game still crashes upon opening Please look into this issue I want to give this game a higher rating but if I can t play it I can t give it any stars     crashes at startup with new update 10 9 4 Spenarjp

In the new update i lost all my saves even one that i was saving for a long time for meat circus when i was ready to do it Im really sad but its fine going throught the game again the shadows now look really white for me and in the middle of talking it cuts off so i have to use subtitles Overall this is a great game Its design and plot is really creepy just my style Even with bugs this game is one of the best games ive ever played                     disappointment sagemommi

This is THE WORST game I ve ever played on a pc It goes from boring idiotic arrowhead quests to impossible and near impossible puzzles battles It s as if the makers of this game absolutely hate their gaming customers The puzzles quest items etc are often so badly designed placed that you re required to attempt dozens of times before you succeed do they think stupid and frustrating repetition is fun It felt like the game was set up to make you keep failing because the way the camera moves at the last second or some object is in the way so you can t see your destination or whatever but when you land after missing there is an arrowhead for you to get This must mean they knew you d land there Truly it feels like a sadist s game There is no way to succeed in one battle with a giant where the actions required can t be done WASD space bar shift key right click all while running around on the outside of a cube and trying to find and destroy a machine that will kill the giant I d need four hands and three pairs of eyes and I d still fail because the giant only needs two steps to MY 200 steps to overcome me and stomp me     Most frustrating game ever on pc ZabLaura

The story is awesome the graphics are amazing voice acting is superb but the controls are iffy at best and terrible at their worst In certain areas the game will essentially take away control of Raz the main character and not allow you to go in the directions you want to and you have to sort of undermine the game s internal logic to make it work The camera has an annoying tendency to fight against you in some parts and special powers are easy enough to learn in theory but the execution in gameplay is not so easily done It took me an hour just to get through the levitating tutorial when I m suspecting it was only designed to take 10 minutes or so and even then I have no real idea as to what I did or how I managed to do it Auto locking is a nightmare and has a tendency to flip the screen around like a crazy person             Awesome game but troubling controls Jaffe37

OK I saw the EuroGamer game of the year award and all the positive ratings for this game At the price it was worth a shot My first impression was OK it s sort of cute After playing 40 minutes or so I was hooked The graphics are OK and serve the almost 3D cartoony atmosphere of the game It s silly in places and worth a chuckle and moderately hard in a few places but with a piece of bacon you can get clues As each adventure starts to fill in the pieces the whole story all comes together and makes sense in a not quite real world way It s quirky original and fun Be warned that it can be a bit addicting and I lost part of Memorial Day weekend to this game I can t wait to see what psychic powers I will get next and how they will help me overcome obstacles that I ve already seen and explore new places                     Catchy addicting game Megavolt17

I have absolutely loved this game since its release on the PS2 reading through some of the reviews it is somewhat apparent that not everyone knew this games origins While I would love to say that a brilliant team came together to release this in the mac app store it was originally developed for xbox PS2 and PC The game itself is iconic a cult classic some consider it It is loads of fun especially if you hunt down all the cutscenes and talk to everyone at every time of day Brilliant writing fantastic gameplay and now its playable on my mac for the astounding price of 5 dollars I honestly probably wouldnt pay much more than 10 or 15 considering I own it for playstation already but it is definitely well worth the cost                     on a mac Allsixcolours

This game is brilliant I bought it with mix feelings because so far a lot of the games I ve been finding did not have much of a story to them something I like in games When I first started the game it took me a while to set all the controls on how to move the character and the characters actions but after that the flow of control was easy The story and concept is very creative and interesting The game as others have said is easy to get the flow down however as you go further things start to get a little more difficult not only testing the character s mind but your own mind Fortunately the character is equipped with a helpful guide if needed to be used A few things I have to complain about is after you get to a certain point and you want to complete the game to its fullest the camp turns to night and it stays like that I really hope a sequel gets made to this because the story is left at a cliff hanger Definately worth the price and you won t be sorry                     Amazing Best Game on my Mac so Far Writer+Music=Me

I never played or heard of this game before I purchased it After several hours of running around in amazement at the graphics I started to realize just how big and fun the Psychonauts world is I highly recommend this game to pretty much anyone Psychonauts for Mac doesn t appear to support the X Box controller It supports the Logitech F710 gamepad flawlessly though The F710 gamepad shows up as a Rumblepad II controller so I suspect it means the Rumblepad II controller is supported as well Play Psychonauts it s a blast                     Surprised shgreen123

This is by far my favorite game of all time The entire concept is one of the most original I ve ever seen in a game before and the dialogue is so witty and hilarious I ve spent several hours just wandering the campsite to talk to the characters The levels are incredibly creative and none of them are like the others you ll go from being a godzilla esque monster in a city full of lungfish to wandering a suburban neighborhood in the mind of a schizophrenic milkman There s a lot to explore and a lot to collect so be sure you walk around camp in between levels and talk to everyone to get the full experience there s a lot of really awesome and funny things going on around camp that aren t essential to the plot but make the game a whole lot more awesome                     One of the Best Games of All Time TheMFiles0055

Like others have said the game consistently freezes on the first obstacle course I ve tried uninstalling and redownloading the program and it still crashes Don t buy it until this issue is resolved UPDATE After the Lion update 10 7 2 the game has become stable I m running it on an 09 MBP with 256mb of vram with the lowest settings and the game seems to lag a little in graphic intense areas and most notably around water Even with the lag it is playable and a very enjoyable game My only gripe is that the game has no auto save on exit which can be frustrating if you forget and lose your progress                 Was freezing up now works FilbertBright
