Fun game with a cool style but like seemingly every ios game it was too short and has an unfulfilling ending Instead of two games they should just have one long one Also like some have mentioned a few of the puzzles could have used better instructions              Puzzle agent

I bought the app since the free one wasnt working and I must say I am happy I did Im a fan of the professor Layton series for ds and this is similar Normallywhen there is a story for a game I skip it but for this game I didnt Funny intelligent story along with different puzzles you have to solve along the way Ill be buying the 2nd one after I finish this one              Good game

My child thought this was the best For younger children at times it can be a little freaky But other than that it was so AMAZING                 From a Childs perspective

Very very engaging game The puzzles get increasingly difficult to solve which is value for money to me at 299 The story line is engaging and sometimes a little spoofy but thats part of the fun It is just that the graphics are in 2D unlike most nowadays Im surprised that this game gets overlooked                 Superb challenging

This comic style adventurepuzzle game is the best thing I have stumbled onto within the broad spectrum of iOS entertainment apps Truly I have discovered that there is something here for everyone Puzzle Agent and Puzzle Agent 2 are now available in HD and look great on the retina displays We follow and aid mild mannered Nelson Tethers on his determined quest to unravel the strange and sometimes terrifying events in the snowbound burg of Scoggins Minnesota solving dozens of puzzles along the way each of which drags us kicking and screaming through the whole bizarre story of why the eraser factory blew up The drawings are first rate the music unique and fitting and the characters hilarious The puzzles can be challenging but if you collect enough ABC gum there are clues that lead you in the right direction Besides we get gnomes Minnesota accents snowmobiles dead astronauts quirky diner denizens cheater wearing FBI agents single minded scientists mystical brotherhoods and delightful craziness in great abundance The Puzzle Agent apps are must haves for anyone with a sense of humor Now I wonderwhat could possibly go wrong in Bermuda                 Engaging and funny

I liked most of the puzzles but some were missing important pieces So they couldnt be solved the first time around Graphic is superb sound is great and the story is interesting A bit too short for a 7 game but I bought it on sale and the price felt right for the amount of fun it provided Ive also noticed a bug when a few dialogs were missing a sound file              A lot of fun but

The animation is terrible Its more of an animatic than animation Lip sync is awful The puzzles are roughly hewn with limited interaction Its a good start but needs a lot of polish           Ok dont expect Layton

Really engaging story that is just this side of weird Great tho simple animation voice overs and sound effects bring this story of a puzzle agent of the FBI to life Takes place in some Minnesota backwater and the authors hit the vernacular DEAD ON im married to a minnesotan and the dialogue had me laughing hysterically The simple puzzles move you along in a story that deals with the mysterious shut down of the towns eraser factory they supply the White House dont ya know and the even stranger disappearance of the factory foreman Comes complete with forest gnomes Yeah its expensiveish but the length of the story and the high production values make it worth the money                 Puzzles not too hard but SO much fun

One of my favorite iPad games ever Ive had them for a while finished them both but I actually came back several months later and played them again Still greathoping they come out with more Please make more                 Fantastic

Slow and boring Fun graphics but otherwise moves way too slowly Also between scenes i got stuck and there was no help menu to find where to go next the gum help is only for puzzles not navigating the scenes so im in limbo and cant finish     Boring

As others here have said the artwork is beautiful and worth a dollar or two The parody of Northern Minnesota is also pretty funny But the puzzles are sometimes a distraction because too many are only mediocre And the mystery makes no sense whatsoever I wont spoil it but just when I thought a bunch of very weird and I mean WEIRD threads were going to be tied together the game ends Seemed to be a lot of unrealized potential or the developers just ran out of ideas           A quirky game based on an unsatisfying mystery

Similar to Professor Layton on the Nintendo DS system but it seemed like the instructions for the puzzles were not clear or detailed enough Had to use hints to figure out the goal of the puzzle Very short too Completed within one day Not worth 699           Soso

Puzzles are too few in number 37 and there are no unlockables upon completion That said its a cute game with a fun mystery despite the thoroughly unsatisfying ending and lack of bonus features Some of the puzzles lack clear directions as well              Too short but for 99 cents its ok

Puzzle Agent deserves 45 stars The game is great fun and the story is engaging and goofy The only demerits are for the sometimes jerky animations and the lack of support for backgrounding Backgrounding would be very helpful for switching to a scratchpad app for working out the puzzles Instead keep a paper and pencil nearby for the logic puzzles Im looking forward to the sequel              Great

Come on Telltale The longer you go without fixing this the more 1 star reviews youre going to get And do you really want 10 percent of your reviews to be 1 star Id suggest you start giving away the sequel to make up for this     its been incompatible with iOS 5 for TWO WEEKS NOW

Nice game love the puzzles Its a job good done The only downer for me are the constant references to opening your mind to hearing voices meditation and other new age practices It seems this is getting more and more prevalent in games and movies today Pity           Could do without the spiritualistic references

Sometimes a little to easy but the complexity of the puzzle and challenges is progressive so the game becomes more interesting while you play on The story is very submerging a very well built repertoire of characters A good game                 Very good

The artwork and storyline on this game are good but they dont overcome the titles shortcomings First the puzzles are too simple I never had to use the poorly explained hint system and got every puzzle on the first try And I dont consider myself to be an amazing puzzler The other problem this game has is bad programming The game cant save state ingame so you end up repeating a lot whenever you switch out of the program Little things like not being able to back out of menus abort cut scenes and interact with things that look to be part of the game make things annoying Finally the game presents a nonlinear storyline but actually its incredibly linear In short the game has good promise but falls through on delivery Spend your money elsewhere        Simple puzzles bad programming

This game is totally Fantastik I loved it and heartily reccomend it to everyone This was so much fun please developers make more I had absolutely no problems at all with it The game saved at several points thru with no issues at all                 Great Fun

The game looks good but in fact its very bewildering Nearly all puzzle instructions are expressed in a confusing and incomprehensible way most of the time its just impossible to understand what those puzzles need Its more like a reading challenge than a puzzle solving When i finally get through one puzzle i still dont understand how and why Seriously you need to give game instructions in a simple and clear way Plus the long transition animations get very annoying later And when I reached the climax of the story it just ends With no conclusion or any explanation of what has really happened I really cant believe they asked 7 bucks for such a half piece of story Im really disappointed with or more exactly infuriated of this game     Crappy instructions terrible story line

Telltale pls update the story Throw us a bone and give us a continuation Great work but soooooo much more room for better storytelling and problem solving                 Come on

This is perfect for anyone looking for a Professor Leyton stye puzzle game Charming art style cute story and lots of fun puzzles I will look our or more from this creator                 Charming puzzler

Worth the time The puzzles are enjoyable Not what I would consider hd graphics However the art style and humor are great              Clever and fun

Id love to try out this exciting puzzle game that everyones been raving about but I cant do that if the app crashes upon opening now can I I dont much like paying for games that Im unable to play I know the problem is not on my end so please sort this out Thank you     It crashes whenever I try to open the app

Im a big fan of Telltale Games but this ones a stinker Most of the puzzles are too easy a few I had to get hints or look up on a FAQ because they were so poorly explained and labeled The story is rather dull and not all that funny You can bypass dialogue but not the dozens of slow cut scenes where often nothing is happening on screen at all I think they thought these were dramatic pauses Finished the game in a couple of hours so not worth the 299        Disappointing

Fun captivating game I liked the subdued graphics a nice change of pace from the inyourface neon colored imagery in many games The voices were great You definitely want to play this when you can have the sound on I was worried initially because the first puzzles are very easy but they do get progressively harder as the game goes on I agree with some commentators that a few of the puzzles could have used clearer instructions but most worked well Several hours of fun When I think about game pricing I often compare to going to a movie This was more than 2 hours of enjoyment at less than the price of a movie ticket Im satisfied The ending was disappointing The story and characters were engaging all along but then the ending didnt really explain anything Maybe thats the final puzzle Trying to figure out what the heck happened in the story Were the foreman and agent ever really in space or was that a hallucination Why was the eraser factory damaged to begin with Will we ever know              charming and fun

So very glad I had upgraded this game at a sale price After the game went into some demented loop at the diner I couldnt proceed even with the usual pathetic savethegame routine of reboot reinstall This developer has a buggy game track record I plan to stay clear     Stuck at the diner

A tad short Sure But in the end so was Lord of the Rings Return of the King and it was only 3 hours 20 minutes You want a great story to perpetuate forever Awesome graphics well thought out puzzles and engaging storyline My wife and I played together and it kept us coming back for more until the end And what a hook for the sequel Well done                 Great

I love the movie feel and drama of this app Very unique Somewhat challenging Great exploration and fun characters and plot line I dont think I paid 7 for this I believe I got it for less Seems to me this would be a great app at about 4 dollars I wish it were a little bit longer but that wasnt a major issue for me Overall I have to give it 5 stars mainly for doing something so very unique                 Very Unique and Entertaining but overpriced

Right after I read the Winston Breen book series I wanted to solve puzzles I found this Game It is worth your money                 Winston Breen

Too easy and too short Not worth the 299 I imagine it is better suited for grade schoolers or pre teens I was hoping it would be more like Professor Layton for DS Not bad but like I said not challenging enough and ends all too quickly Not going to buy the sequel to this game I feel like it should have been included as an update or something           Not worth the money

Reminded me a little of games like Monkey Island The puzzles were occasionally confusing but highly entertaining overall Nice way to spend a few nights                 Fun game

This is a good game to play The puzzle arent to hard and the storyline is interesting It took me awhile to finish but not too long Overall a good game BUT The ending DID NOT make sense to me at all It kind of feels like they didnt know how to end the story and randomly put gnomes carrying the guy away RANDOM This would be a good opportunity in the story to add a sequel I hope you do              Puzzle Agent

Pretty classic puzzle game But I can no longer play it On startup it shows the splash image and then goes to a white screen with no controls It just doesnt work Waste of money for me        Good but unreliable game

I just updated the iPad 2 to iOS5 today and Puzzle Agent HD no longer boots up It just crashes immediately Ive tried the usual remedies such as shutting down my iPad 2 but nothing works Please update for iOS5 support On a related note Puzzle Agent 2 HD works perfectly fine on iOS5     No longer starts up after iOS5 update

The game has a cool story and a great artwork but it literally ends out of no where Ridiculous     Game abrulty ends
