"QuickMailer is a snappy way to send email from the menubar" - lifehacker.com "Why can t sending an email be as painlessly fire-and-forget as sending an IM? Enter QuickMailer." - cultofmac.com "QuickMailer is a real lifesaver." - ...
I want very simply one keystroke to open an app some typing to compose the message and a keystroke combo to send it With Quickmailer I m re typing my own email address over and over flitting between subject and body and then when I hit send Half the time it errors out This is the simplest app concept in the world Why isn t there a good one we can buy         Doesn t work aglzen
If you have OmniFocus Pro you know that the app has a scheme to send actions to the OFP Inbox aka the No Context folder by using a dedicated OmniSync email address Since Omnigroup doesn t make available a menu bar app to do this without email the shortcut is to use Quickmail to send these action item emails to OFP s dedicated address Set up the app to send in STMP uncheck the Clear To box type in the address and there is a dedicated menu bar app which will put action items in your OFP inbox Quickmail can always be used for its intended purpose but if you have a workflow that involves a lot of OFP entries that you don t mind batch filing into more descriptive Contexts or Projects at less intense times this is a simple smooth and efficient way to do that                     Integrates Well with OmniFocus Pro John in SB
I bought this with the intention of using it for quick email My problem is that I BCC myself on most mail that I send internally As a result I have sent maybe 5 emails and I have had the product for quite some time now I would use it to send most if not all of my mail if it had bcc support I have emailed the developers but haven t even received an acknowledgement that they received the e mail Seriously bcc support is a no brainer         Needs Bcc Mana2Burn
Great little utility great responsive developers I am glad I purchased it you should too                     Excellent @user.review
It used to be a fantastic app But this version crahses and erases the message Absolutley dangerous when you re relying on it to send important emails Badly needs fixing I loved it and look forward to it working again     Used to work enxx
The v1 3 release fixed all the issues I had that made this app inoperable after I upgraded to Mavericks v1 2 had been out for over a year but the app developer was very quick to submit an update once they started hearing of problems following Mavericks That s good support I m looking forward to future updates and hopefully the ability to choose the send from email account which would be ideal given how I use it mainly with Asana                 1 3 fixed all the issues I had with this App Works as Intended JW in SEA
Would it be so difficult to use smtp or consume a webservice to send directly to a mail server like Google if I have to run Mail app constantly or to wait for it to open up every time then there is nothing Quick about QuickMailer This is just a cosmetic skin for Mail app Basically useless         Just an alternate view of Mail app DesignatedDriver
Seriously deceptive The whole premise of the app is to avoid seeing your inbox but then it goes and launches Mail in order to send The description should make this clear The screenshot is a lie since it shows Mail not running in order to make you think this is a standalone replacement This same functionality could be produced by starting Mail yourself hiding the inbox and right clicking on the Mail icon in your dock to create a new message Also the review from AppleSauce84 is obviously written by a friend of the author     Launches Mail app Chris Pt
I bought this for the express purpose of not using Mail app but Quickmailer opens it open to send the email Kind of pointless         Opens Mail app keeps it open The Beeler
A really irritating feature is that the program chose an email account I am trying to move away from And there s no discernible way to change that on the settings             email choice PL1952
Whenever I move over to my mail client I am distracted by the collection of flagged emails Then there are the three pointless ads I have filtered into my Ads mailbox and in the impulse of the moment I wanna know what they re for Needless to say email easily distracts me while I m trying to get work done Quickmailer is an awesome cure for the easily sidetracked such as myself Anywhere on my Mac I can send a quick email out and never need to view Mac s Mail app at the same time thus avoiding all the incoming email distractions As a very simple utility Quickmailer does everything that it should Since the most recent update I ve found it works robustly and I don t mind recommending it to others I am glad to use Quickmailer and think I will still be using it for years to come It s most definitely worth the price                     So Easy to Use and Easy to Maintain Your Focus jcsdarnell
A bit buggy signature does nto usually work Cool idea though I will use it If you misspell a word it launches Mail so you can fix it If not the mail screen quickly flashes and the mail is gone Great idea to avoid distractions and shoot off a quick mail I m sure it will evolve with time                 Preety cool themajic
Every time you click send it opens Mail app to complete the process If I wanted to open Mail I would have just opened Mail What good is Quickmailer if you need to have Mail open in order for it to work     Disappointing Houzi33
Good concept but it needs a fair amount of improvements to make it something that would be of great use and many others have mentioned that here so I won t go into those The main issue I have is that the point of a Menu Bar item is to not have to launch the full fledged app Well this launches Mail and then sends your mail Kinda defeats the point You might as well just flip to Mail and Command N and write your email and send it away Instead you run this and you have two processes running doing the same thing and occupying resources Bummer             Decent Concept ipanacea
This is such a brilliant simple App But what keeps me from using it every momemnt of every day is the Desktops in Mission Control I have 8 Desktops I multi task with but QuickMailer only comes up on ONE Desktop so if I have to go to a single Desktop anyway to use Mail I might as well go to the Desktop with my actual email If you could fix this I would give you 5 Stars and your App would be Perfect                 Brilliant but missing a crucial design feature Future of Tokyo
Who d have thought that this simple promising app lacked the following 1 No way to configure the email account to use 2 Does NOT access your address book and auto fill reliably you almost always have to type in the full address and when it attempts to recognize an address it strangely auto fills with the wrong one 3 No automatic signature It was only 99 cents But somehow I feel especially ripped off here     OMG what a failed app seriously gmalone1
this app works like a charm but does not allow to select which email account to send email from Even if you could pick between ONLY Gmail accounts it woud be okay but it doesn t Would be AMAZING if it let you email from Exchange DD                 Great app one but annetad
Really like this app it s very practical                     Good BitTheHaddock
seems un mac like to not be able to drop a file in the email having to click on attach then find the file is backwards thumbs down         cant drap and drop pictures cpdreher
First the program is very functional Wish it allowed for selection of which account to send from on a per message basis and wish it allowed for the use of signatures From a nit picky perspective the drop shadow on the send window is waaaay over done Needs to match the OS X default Yeah that s picky but thought I d share it Nice job                 Good some design comments Godrifle
It s perfect for the quick email You dont have to open any apps just click on the icon in your menu bar and it istantly opens and sends just as fast Worth 0 99                     Great RunJacksRun
This app is really cool but it causes the integrated graphics to turn on So whenever this app is running your Dedicated graphics card will turn on greatly depleting battery life     Cool Idea Major Bug donovan0190
Works very well Quick and easy and it s nice the message still shows up in the sent folder I would like to see a way to incorporate a signature if necessary Overall fantastic job                     Great app mopage19
Simply click your statusbar to send a quick email and it works Click and go No setup and settings to tweak                     Simple and effective Nølff
