Well let s start with the technical flaws 1 The app crashes every time I try to do a batch conversion and often when I try to convert a single file as well 2 Given that there are no settings whatsoever aside from output format you have no control over ow your final image looks Tis is all well and good and stated right in the description BUT is a fairly awful fact when every output file ends up not only with improper white balance also predicted in the description but completely washed out and with a strong color cast As for functional issues I suppose that I can t complain too much here because they re more related to my expectations than the faults of the developer I bought this app because I wanted something that could actually convert RAW files itself rather than rely on the dinky little JPEG previews that iOS creates I d tried the lite version of PhotoRAW previously and not only found it to be incredibly slow but also incredibly poor at processing RAWs RawConverter 2 is equally bad at the processing but I will say that it s quite a bit faster Where RawConverter 2 really falls short is that it s virtually featureless you input a file it outputs its conversion to your camera roll That s it I was hoping for a viewer something I could use to check sharpness at 100 This app has nothing of the sort Again something I probably should have realized from reading the description The kicker is that the resulting file is still viewed as a low res JPEG preview in every app I ve tried Photogene at least recognizes its real resolution but still doesn t actually show the full size image So what s the point of converting RAW files on your iPad if all you get is a terribly processed version of the same dinky JPEG previews iOS would give you that you can view on your iPad at least I have to assume that the output would be 100 on a computer screen The one use for it I can see is that it will allow you to post full size JPEGS up to a service like Dropbox Which I guess is nice if you need to be able to show them to other people who have access to a real computer If you personally are traveling with just your iPad like I am at the moment that s just about the only benefit of which I can think All in all if this app cost 1 I d probably feel differently as it is limited by iOS itself in a way and does exactly what it claims to do But 5 is far far too much     Complete waste of money cptrios
