Please update this app it hasnt been touched since 2013     Is this abandoned

Unreliable and unusable Worked soso before the update Now not at all        Worthless

I doesnt work on iOS 7 I can sign on and see the NAS but after selecting the drive it doesnt load the folder shares Netgear should invest in client apps What are they doing        Come on netgear

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO ROLL BACK THIS UPDATE This latest upgrade 158 causes my iPhone 5 to now have a connection failure issue I get an error message while attempting to connect to my storage drives ReadyNAS still connects to my router but doesnt see the USB drives connected to the router It worked fine before I did this update My daughters iPhone 4 still connects fine but then again she did not install this update NOW after logging into readyNAS and then clicking on my router icon my phone just hunts for the USB drives but never sees them It then comes up with a connection error saying it cant connect to the media The version I had prior 156 worked great I just logged into readyNAS and it would see my router right away Though when you clicked the router icon it would take a second or two before it would see the drives but it did see them From that point when I browsed threw the drives all folders and files would show right up Even the downloads uploads were fast But now nothing PLEASE HELP     iPhone 5 issue

I can see my server but cant log in using my CORRECT credentials I removed my server because it wouldnt allow me into the guest access login screen ever again It now wont even see my server and theres no way for me to add it that I can see You can go ahead and click the ReadyNAS Remote Support which takes you to a static web page showing how great the iPhone software is but no way for support other than the forums I tried to use the forums to discuss other ReadyNAS Remote issues and Netgear either doesnt monitor them or refuses to comment on their screwed up software Im a software developer myself and would be out of a job if I threw together software that was anywhere close to this jacked up And as a side note here Ive had an iPhone since the v1 and have downloaded 100s of apps and have NEVER posted a review this bad STAY AWAY     Needs more than bug fixes

It just keeps crashing on my new iPad Makes no sense why it should be crashing as I dont have anything else running This has some bugs to be worked on        Keeps crashing

I went trigger happy update on my iPad and got stuck with this new worthless version keep your 136 version or whatever version that works for you but do not update this one     App doesnt work

App does allow one to download files to its private local folder And app does have a viewer for some file types However there is no way to send a file to another app such as iBooks This makes the app worthless for me Also fails to download large files such as movies     No Real Value

The prior version of this app would connect but would show only some but not not all shares that were configured for RnR access although all were configured identically This version will not connect at all either via CIFS or FTP credentials This behavior is the same with two ReadyNAS boxes in two different locations running the latest RnR version addon and an iPad 3 running this addon I have no particular difficulty with RnR access from my PC only this iPad app     Will not connect

Time to look for another solution ReadyNAS Remote DOESNT WORK Finally I understood that the problem of NETGEAR is a BAD QA procedures and Documentation Thats it     Dont waste your time

Remote does not work with iOS 6 Ive had a support ticket in for 2 weeks now and they never response My advice is take your ReadyNAS back and do not buy from Netgear They have really bad support and it is clear by there ratings that they dont care about tablet or phone compatibility     Does Not Work

That is all that happens i thought I was doing something wrong until I read the reviews what a piece of crap this app is dont waste your time     Log in and see the server

The app is a total disaster Period Ugly outdated iPhone 34 like UI accompanied by crashes when you attempt to play a video file Netgear you really sunk low with this     Cant be worse

I too am having this problem everything worked fine until I updated to the latest version from the prior version Now it wont connect at all     Error Software caused connection abort

I have to echo some of the concerns Im reading here You can access your files but there is no open in feature so how do you get your documents out of ReadyNAS Remote and into the application you want It looks like there is a send to button but its alwasy grayed out The only way I can find is the email option sending the email to myself and opening it from there but thats ridiculous Some wifi guest servers dont allow email access anyway so without firstrate wifi youre still dead in the water The functions of their cloud app could also be easily supported here and music sharing with iTunes should be MUCH easier I appreciate the functionality that an expensive NAS drive offers but the investment isnt so great when the software is mediocre        Should be much better

This was a waste of my time and MoneyI bought this App several months ago and Netgear still hasnt made if work with my Ipad     JUNK

ReadyNas never tells you when to update your firmware software or apps which causes great confusion when things that worked flawlessly for months all of a sudden stop working This time even though Ive updated all the other software and firmware this app continually brings up an error when ready shares and cant find my second ReadyNAS even though the computer software has no problems Dont mess with something that isnt broken     Terrible update

This App looks abandoned At least They Have support for the iPhone 5Screens           Works But very buggy

Im CCNA qualified and Im having a hard time with this app its absolutely horrible checked the settings again and again tried a couple different things and still giving errors     Less then useless

I was hating this app on 59 firmware and an iPhone 5 but I just upgraded to 511 and it seems to be back to its clunky self Yeah its not a great app but at least now it works        Try updating your firmware

I use a ipad2 and a windows 7 desktop plus other computers Works ok so far Not much for admin or a sighing rights I can share stuff but share control is terrible Im not running a server box just 2 thumbnail drives so I can share with friends backup or what ever I want to do with space Would be great if I could have a lot more control over who and what Im sharing Password and authentication lacks ALOT I hope the a nas server box will have much more control I gave it 3 stars because at least I can have my own cloud and store as much as I want with out building a server although if I had a biz line and much faster upload speed I would This is a ok compromise Plus netgears router rocks           Could be worse

Really nice functionality if it would work properly Crashes Takes forever to connect Error messages when viewing files     Fix it please

The app has alway been free and I guess you get what you pay for The problem is that all software that comes from with Readnas is poorly designed This is no exception When you first sign in it will ask you for your username and password But the Readynas backend looks for your username based on email So its a bit confusing Then if you make the mistake of misentering your security info you are royally screwed Takes forever to fix the problem And it you make the change on your iPhone its makes the change at the server level so all your remotes no longer connect I have had to go into the admin software on the NAS and remove and reenter my username for the client For most software this would not be a problem but this the advent of the cloud there are a few First as I said all of Readynas software is poorly designed Second they use Java code for the admin software which I dont object to but they code badly and it is sooooo sloooow The Remote software needs to talk to the servers at Netgear and it stalls often Not sure if its Java or their servers I have gotten it to work on my Macbook again but not on the iPhone Dont even get me started on all the other features that Readynas has that is software driven Thank god I didnt get it but for backup     I can enter my password thats it

Im able to connect using my Ready NAS account but Im unable to connect to my user name on the Ready NAS system     Cant connect to FoldersFiles

Junk Cannot view images unless I manually download each image This app was designed by a junior developer No consideration of usability whatsoever     Junk

App has serious connection and timing out issues Unreliable to the point of being unusable     Not reliable or intuitive

I feel NetGear has abandoned the NAS community they are not doing anything to improve their firmware or apps They came were on fire a couple of years ago and now NOTHING I am happy that it logs in and allows me access to the shares that is about the extent of its usefulness Files can be downloaded and opened in this apps view window however you are not able to edit them or forward them to an app that can Basically youre stuck just looking at it Would be ever so useful to have the open with function working the icon is there but grayed out Preview option would also be highly beneficial        Barely useful

I am able to log in and see my files but that is about all I can no longer View or Download anything without an error     Can no longer download anything It just errors

The app wont connect to my shared folders I am able to log in and see my ready NAS but after upgrade it wont connect and view shares I updated both the firmware on my readyNAS and iPhone and still not working Terrible upgrade     Connection failure

You can basically view whats on your drive downloadupload individual files but theres no options to configure a backup There needs to be more features     Featureless

I was expecting problems with this app after reading the reviews but it works great for me In fact I think it is really cool I can access all my music files remotely and play them Plus it opens PDF files and text files That takes care of most of my needs but you can choose to send a downloaded file via email and from Mail have more app options On my iPad I have both this app and the newer ReadyCloud app but on an older Touch I can only have just this at least untilif I finally upgrade from iOS 5 to 6 on that On iOS 7 iPad and iOS 5 iPod this thing is really cool I like being able to choose which picture to upload so because of that it complements ReadyCloud which just backs up all your pictures I think But ReadyCloud makes it easier to open the files in other apps without emailing The only time I had trouble with this nice app is when I changed my password It let me log in with the new one but I could not access folders login failure message so then I switched back to the old password and all was fine again The desktop client did not have this issue so I really had properly changed the password Even deletingreinstalling the app did not let me use the new password successfully Another thing I found is that you MUST have CIFS smb enabled on your NAS Some old instructions say to have FTP enabled for this app or that either works but that seems no longer the case only CIFS works and you can disable FTP                 Why the complaints

Connects fine downloads files fine either wifi or LTE But then what There is no Open In feature Seriously Am I missing something What good is this then     Useless

Just downloaded the latest App v158 and cannot connect New user of App     Cannot Connect iPhone 4S

Poor coding and functions Can only upload one picture at a time No multiple select function     Very poor design

Do not believe any positive reviews of this app it just does not work I am so disappointed in Netgear for wasting my time and money I can only conclude they are leaving NAS completely Buy another brand if you can I am looking at Synology and Western Digital     Total fail

Worked for a time but now its a no go I have a Ready NAS V2 and I really needed to be able to interface with it with any of my devices anywhere But        Iffy at best

I am So disappointed that I bought the ReadyNAS Duo It is capricious at best and this app is even worse Im rating it 1 star because Im not allowed to pick 0 stars It works sometimes and then without changing Anything it stops I emphasize with another reviewer who said Ive wasted too many hours of my life trying to get this to work So frustrating If Netgear pays attention to these ratings Please do something about this to help future customers Im done     Awful

Im very exited about latest firmware updates and ReadyCLOUD Now its usable even for business But this app needs major update Good intention but still poor implementation Very buggy Hope its in a pipeline        Still in beta

Cannot connect or find my ReadyNAS Pro 6     Does not work

I have lost way too many hours trying to make this work Im shocked that the user community isnt outraged with this release This evening I had both older versions working fine on both my iPad and iPhone Did the upgrade and zilch     Not ReadyNAS Remote

Stopped showing actual shares and files after signing on Reinstalled and made no difference Needs better support Should be a much better app because its such an important mean to use readynas     Does not show shares anymore

These negative reports are ridiculous if you follow the directions and are running updated software then it works flawlessly Since the latest update all has started working again just as it had before Ive had zero problems setting up or using this app it works flawlessly again                 Works Perfect

I like the ReadyNAS but this is completely useless for iOS I was able to sign in and see my files Thats it Every selection results in a cant preview this file Use View from Menu There is no View on Menu Worthless Even at free     What a waste of bits

Excellent at letting me view files on my ipad but that is it If I could open in another program to edit this would probably be my favorite app on the entire apple store PLEASE UPADTE SO I CAN OPEN WITH FILES FROM MY SERVER           Great app but needs updating

this version and the previous one has prevented my iphone and ipad devces from connecting to my readynas ultra 2 plus arent higher versions supposed to work better than older ones     Still does not work
