I have found this food scanner app easy to use and invaluable in making healthy food choices at the grocery store Real Food Scanner
Does what it says it will with no ads or anything disruptions Quickly scans food and give you multiple reasons why its either good or bad for you You cant go wrong A wise dollar spent Works flawlessly
This is exactly what I was looking for however it cant read the labels on 95 of the food items in my home I buy mostly from Trader Joes and this app doesnt seem to be able to parse those ingredients If you update the app to include Trader Joes products I think this would be a winner It also didnt note canola oil as being questionable which doesnt seem right to me Great concept poor execution
Please please please make one for supplies like if your playing a game like garage sale make a game that scans it and makes a price and it will be fun my name is alexanderia and have a great day thx for time for further notice take this farther for a game Good great ad awesome
Most of my scans didnt work not found in database or ingredients could not be parsed Hopefully the database will build up Also it seems like food packaged from costco doesnt work Ok needs more in the database

I see some thing missing from the red light like TBHQ Missing some bad ingredients
I scanned a lot of the brand name foods in my pantry and unfortunately this app gets many items wrong It says my Sarah Lee wheat bread includes 3 ingredients that it doesnt It indicates my Quaker grits includes ingredients that it does not And many more errors It gets most of the items correct But if it it gets every fifth item wrong then the app is just plain worthless Because if you cant trust the app then you end up having to compare every ingredient that the app lists with the actual box This totally defeats the purpose and wastes all of your time Unreliable Either its right or its not
Maybe Im missing something or the app is malfunctioning but all this does is come up with a list of ingredients already on the package A better idea is not to buy food in packages Real food rarely has ingredients lists Whats the point
The description didnt say if this would work on identifying organic fruits and vegetables which is what I was looking for but I downloaded it to try My banana or plum were not found in the database but it did an excellent job on telling me how bad the ingredients in my pancake syrup were If you could add fruits and veggies it will be perfect Thank you Great for packaged foods
Wow This app is amazing I am a very busy mom who spends a lot of time reading food labels in order to give my children nutritious natural and healthy foods This app does the work for me I simply scan the item and it does the rest I highly recommend this app Awesome Real Food Scanner
