It s like the title says it is total junk I would not recommend any one to buy this I retry it about every month hoping for a update but nothing I would sell it on eBay but I can t stiff somebody else H E L P Please update today I know they never will     J U N K 7.58

When you happen to stumble upon the correct code for your device it may work for one or two button presses The app constantly crashes is clunky with a terrible UI and is completely unusable as a remote You press the power button to turn your tv on but the tv is too loud so you try to press the volume button to turn it down but BAM THE APP HAS CRASHED Now the sound is blasting and you have to run over to the tv or go to get your actual remote to use it Great concept poorly executed absolutely no support     Downright Awful Chubbs59

Got it working with my iPhone but I literally have to be 1 foot from my tv or cable box for the infrared signal to work Every minute or so it locks up saying that it is updating firmware it updated firmware about 10 times After trying it out for an hour it started crashing the app on both iPhone and iPad and is now completely unusable Tried power cycling iPad and iPhone and tried reinstalling app Crashes as soon as redeye mini is plugged in RETURNING THIS GARBAGE     Complete Garbage espot123

I ve been developing and coding for over 30 years I ve seen my share of counter intuitive designs This not the worst but even for me it s a mess Heaven help the average geek Maybe over time they will debug the crashes But it s design concept should have had a better flow to set up a remote screen layout And 1 or 2 preset remotes to duplicate One out of 8 crashes destroys all your input Redeye has to be deleted and reinstalled Not acceptable for a marketed product This is lazy coding         Great idea bad design and execution Redfox68

Picked up a red eye mini for 15 and thought what can go wrong Well everything did I attempted to setup my tv cable box and the app crashed over and over And believe me this is not an end user issue the app needs serious revisions I even attempted to use not only my iPhone 4 but my wife s iPhone 4 my iPad 2 and my daughters iPod touch all with the same results The furthest I got was being able to power on my TV and cablebox but anything more than that would crash the app I already requested an RMA to return the product I desperately wanted this to work but it simply is a poorly designed solution for a universal remote DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY AND ENERGY ON THIS PRODUCT     DONT BUY jonyfraze

The RedEye Mini is a small dongle that fits into the headphone jack the dongles can be found in various places for under 20 There is an associated free RedEye Mini app iPhone and iPad The idea is that the app will power the dongle turning your iPhone iPad into an universal remote All of this is a very nice idea however the app does not work well The largest problem is the constant crashes which seems to erase any progress made in programming the device app Setup could be much simpler ThinkFlood needs to add an option to enter the device manufacturer model and have the app function properly PROS device and associated app costs are low free respectively CONS Constant crashes tedious programming I m giving it 2 stars based on its potential vice its current performance         Nice idea not so good execution VentrueSabre
