The game play is good Im having trouble figuring out how to play online Good game
I didnt like it it is really a silly game It didnt delivery much fun and the graphics are not very good Maybe for kids No fun for adults
My only request is for colorblind mode please Fantastic
Love the game but the controls arent great Its hard to tell where you are placing the camels and I cant tell which color camel Im using Sometimes you press one color but end up with another Great game so so controls
Im always amused by the trend of turning successful board games into video games While I appreciate the shelf space I save having several games on one iPad there is something visceral about tangible pieces that one has to set up and move yourself That said ItD is a solid port of the classic Knizia game While the overall game can be simple to learn the strategy one can apply to it especially against other human players makes the game quite complex Board game made video game

In a game which revels in the placement of pieces not being able to adequately control where pieces are placed is a gross oversight Everything else isnt too shabby nothing spectacular but no glaring mistakes All in all an adequate port Until the placing is fixed I cant see myself playing too often The game is fantastic The app simply mehwith a side of unnecessarily frustrating Cant see placements

This is one of Knizias best games and the app allows you to play it UI on iPad has two major flaws zooming is annoying and unnecessary and its way too easy to grab the wrong camel color The result is that the games main placement can be frustrating The AI impressively addresses the games many opportunities but in the end isnt hard to beat Id rate it medium at best With some care and revision could be a toprate app Good game mediocre UI

A well designed possibly over designed version of a classic euro game It hung up a couple of times on the initial boot but has played flawlessly since My only complaint is the zooming back and forth feature Its a bit tiring Also the drag and drop works but it seems an odd choice vs tap and tap Nicely done

I own the board game and enjoy it with my family The app is a faithful replica of the board game in all respects The January 2013 update supports the retina display which is much appreciated It is nice that I can play against friends in the Game Center too I think I lose more often to the AI than Id like so it is great fun when I beat it Highly recommended Great light strategy game nicely rendered by Tribeflame
Theres no option to undo a move after youve made it nor is there a confirm step after you make a move This might not be that big of a problem but the app doesnt let you zoom in the screen to the point where the hexes are ever big enough so its real easy to make a wrong move So you have to drag your camel to where you want it then peel back your finger and peek under it without taking it off the screen in order to make sure your aim was accurate before dropping your camel The app also doesnt really seem to support online play not that Im all that interested without seeing some other fixes first Mr Knizia should let the guys who did the app for Samurai have a crack at this game Great game horrible app
Nearly a five star port except for a few issues An Undo feature is a MUST esp on such a small screen The animation speed is rather slow esp at scoring A simple doubletap spot zoom system would be nice but not necessary A few points

I love playing Through The Desert its just as much fun and true to the original game Its almost perfect except at the Game Center there is never anyone to play with I wish it would let me start a game in the Game Center and then find someone to play with instead of having to start a game and sit there waiting and no one ever shows up that never happens with another game I have Ticket To Ride Excellent interpretation

I never played this but have now won 2 of 3 fourplayer games against the hard AI They dont recognize threats to wall off extensive territory The implementation of the game is great though Ill give online play a try sometime Solid implementation but AI is lacking
