Ive used vlc Player for playingstreaming videos on iOS for years until finding out about this app and making the switch Heres why definitely more stable and efficient than vlc fewer crashes and hang ups more formats supported than vlc several hd vids audio format of which vlc couldnt recognize worked fine with this app about a dozen customizable gestures This is huge change playing speed with just two clicks or gesture without hiccups more reliable connections to local servers Etc etc im not looking for another media player anytime soon highly recommended the best iOS streaming
Great app design with a lot of functionality built in The major feature I was looking for was the direct openingstreaming of files over Windows SMB shares and this one does it pretty well Im still evaluating the app but so far some things Id like to see improved are a progress bar on the loading of PDFs the app just kinda freezes until a large PDF loads and more robust features on the PDF viewer such as choice of page flip direction scroll leftright vs updown and an overall better emphasis on various viewing options compared to various other iOS PDF viewers The video player in this app is very good at the moment I think Id give it a 9 out of 10 Id like to see RAR ISO and VIDEOTS folder support as well I really do like this app but until some more features are included Remote File Browser Pro still remains my goto app for network browsingviewingstreaming of non video files Well done
I tried a bunch of similar apps prior and this one is by far the best Lets me connect to my network HD over SMB or SFTP It showed up in the connect list via Bonjour without me even needing to add it Really simple When playing movie files the streaming video starts immediately looks great and of all the different formats Ive tried mov MP4 mkv avi etc its been able to play all of them The UI is clean and easy to navigate Awesome app works great

What can I say that hasnt already been said Ive used several apps to access files on my Apple Timecapsule and this was the most user friendly and I downloaded it while it was free I would pay for it if I had been given the chance to test first Great app
After contacting support about the issues with the previous version the app got fixed just 7 days later I have tried the majority of file management apps for iphone and this is probably the best app in terms of UI design and ease of use Excellent explorermusic player Highly recommended

Not intuitive in any way converts already compressed AAC audio files to MP3 to play them not so great for audio quality No playlist access you have to create playlists within the app if you want any Cant get it to connect to devices on my home network Useless PreBeta

Great App BUT We need to add these features 1 open in to open files from other app in your app 2 iCloud backup for favorite and for networkers that are added before 3 advanced web browser to download media and documents files 4 add info options to know the size and the number of files in folders Suggestions
I wasnt expecting much a lot of these apps just dont deliver But wow this one does It immediately found a NAS drive and my other iDevices Just for grins I went to a music folder figuring the app would play mp3s and not FLACs but lo and behold I was wrong I need to do some more experimenting but so far Im pleased the app will play all sorts of media types without lag or other issues Very promising Update It found my cloud storage devices quickly and immediately connected and played an audiobook without lag Ive got two cloud media players that are constantly lagging and losing connection They may just get the boot Not just yet For music the App holds up on iPhone Audiobook player is hard to scrub and it will not resume at last position played Bummer Im getting problems in iPad version of app but no time to investigate What a Find

I particularly like the swipe to fast forward and backward The highest increment is 15 seconds would be nice to also have the choice of 30second increments so there wouldnt have to be so much swiping when skipping the loooong commercials I was able to easily see and connect to all my iDevices and a Windows 7 32bit laptop set it up as Storage and transfer files however I am unable to connect to my Windows 7 64bit desktop my login credentials are not recognized have not had time to try to figure out how to troubleshoot Transfer via browser over WiFi is also quick and easy My video files are already in the MP4 format so I cant comment on other formats Great Video Player easy to setup
Finally an app that actually delivers as promised on iOS I have played aviflvdivxmp4and mkv video with no issues Full ac3 audio support This is what I have wanted for the past 4 years of searching Thank you developers Thank You

I had more than a few crashes as I was setting up SMB sharing but after that it was smooth sailing Great for accessing all of your files on all of your max or PCs on your network right from your iPhone or iPad A little tricky to set up but works well
