Do you rent equipment? Camera? Lighting kit? Editing system? For many filmmakers, this is a common practice. However, do you know how rentals are priced? If you don`t know how rental items are priced, then you ...
Good app but main problem is that a data base of my rental items built on my iPad doesnt transfer to my iPhone during a sync or viceversa With hundreds of rental items Im not interested in building a list twice once on my iPad and then all over again on my iPhone A list of rental items built on one device should just automatically sync across to a second device The contact link on their support page leads nowhere Needs Work
For this price I was expecting more Based on all the glowing reviews I purchased but should have looked more closely I was expecting more of a database of common rental items Basically this is a simple calculator that takes 3 inputs purchase price equipment age and equipment demand and works out a rental rate range No explanation for the difference between current and mature is and no explanation for what is Normal and soft demand The rental price range is pretty wide almost 100 which is less than useful I would think that geography and proximity to major cities would be a big factor as well Finally there is no reality check against actual rental rates Not really sure why these people are providing all the positive reviews I truly cant see how I could base any real rental decisions on this app alone Could be Better
This is the only app of its kind on the App Store Thanks Honey Badger Amazing app
update newest version effectively doubles value of this app with added packages and check out renters list Great app even better now Great utility for film pros and students Easy to use I always have a hard time determining rental rates for my equipment No longer this app solves everything Well worth it Just What I Needed
I heard about this app by email and had to check it out This app is by far the biggest time saver for budgeting equipment for any kind of media production from live action to animation To start I inserted some of my camera equipment as if I were planning for a short film shoot using somebody elses equipment With the results I put together a low mid and high budget for daily and weekly rates within a matter of minutes I then put in some motion capture and 3D software as if I were doing an animated short The app came through and I had a preliminary budget ready to go Now granted the app also says that you should do your own research as well which you should do anyway But if you are at square one with a script in hand this app gives you a major head start Amazing tool for any production use
