Rick Sammon`s Light It!

It doesnt get any better than this Especially at this price Ive earned so much from this app Rick makes it so simple I would give it a 10                 Amazing App

Over a two month period I have downloaded and deleted and downloaded this app several times to try to get the audio to work with the great looking video lessons I have downloaded it straight to my Mac as well as directly to my iPad but neither method produced the needed audio Out of the numerous apps dLed this is the first one with which I have had a problem Quite a disappointment for what promised to be a wonderful if bulky program     No audio

Wonderful treasure trove of information But 152 gigs just reeks of bad development Better compression streaming from a server etc This takes up 15 of the space on a 16 gig ipad after apples basic software           Great app terrible development

If you are looking for a very basic intro into lighting and composition then this is it Nothing more It is very focused on entry level DSLRs and using the builtin creative modes eg Putting your camera in night mode will increase the exposure time to capture the available light and your flash will popup to light your subject Which is true but in the example he shows the background is this warmly lit restaurant facade tungsten based and then the popup flash illuminates the subject with daylight making her blue Ugh If he just would have talked about putting a gel on the flash it would have been far more informative and created a better image I dont need to educated about taking a snapshot It is all video based and that video is poorly shot eg White balance is off horizon lines are rarely level focus sometimes drifts and eye lines are often wrong It is disconcerting to watch videos about improving your photography when the production value of the training material does not even rise to level of the goals exposed by the presenter All the tips presented can be found on the web and in some cases better produced and free There a difference between a fun casual host and having a half baked production This was more of the later        Very Basic Intro

If you know nothing at all this is for you If you know anything about photography already than this is way to novice it doesnt contain any advanced technics or go into much depth Go for something more advanced and leave this for little kids or people with point and shoots     Strictly for newbies

This is a great resource for those looking to expand their skills beyond point and shoot auto mode photography Rick is an entertaining character and his personality brings a fun and enjoyable experience to the subject matter The application is well designed intuitive and very easy to navigate without unneeded bells and whistles The quality of the media is excellent                 Great resource

Once again Rick Sammon unmasks the sometimes mysterious tools and tricks of photography in his typical fun simple and easy to understand style For the first time DSLR user or the talented amateur this well organized app if full of nuggets that will open new adventures on you journey to better photography I could not not stop watching until I had viewed it all                 Another great App from Rick Sammon

Rick Sammon is the best Even as an experienced photographer I learned and enjoyed this App To see the techniques used in the field instead of just reading about them is very effective Ricks personality makes learning enjoyable                 Light It

I like Ricks delivery Hes a nice guy and it really shows He loves to teach photography I am an intermediate to advanced photographer This was basic but thats okay I am looking at getting into studio work with strobes and you took some of the mystery out of it Rick now get to work on something more advanced and Ill buy it too Your podcasts and interviews are great too Keep up the great work                 Enjoyed it

How great is this With so many possible situations that alter the light on the subject who has time to carry and thumb through books when everything you could possibly want to know about lighting is at the tip of your fingertips Reflectors diffusors backgrounds soft boxes hot lights you name itthis app has it covered Best of allRick shows you how to get great lighting without spending a fortune on equipment I would have paid ten times the amount for this information in books only to remember about 10 percent of what I read This app is way underpriced for all of the available information at your fingertips Dont miss a great shot again because your subject wont wait for you to figure out your lighting I can open the app find the correct lighting situation and watch one of the many videos all within a few minutes Awesome                 Another awesome app by Rick

After numerous emails back and forth with Rick Sammon and his team to notify them of my IPADs inability to play the audio portion of the videos they have not offered a solution Since I cannot download this APP to any other device the program is worthless to me I am disappointed in this product because I am sure it offers benefits that I cannot utilize     No Audio

Title states it all Save your money run hide from this app     Waste of money

Considering I viewed all the contend in a few hours its a bloated memory hogging app Now dont get me wrong it looks great but I just wish it wasnt so hungry for space on the hard drive and I also wish that something new was added 2 stars are because its not updated and its size        Could do with a little love

As an amateurhobbyist photographic i got my Canon Rebel T1i a few months ago and have been pretty happy with the photos i have takenI figured i would step my game up and purchased this app to learn more about lighting and other techniquesI was blown away at the wealth of information and how easy it was to utilize the tips in the video lessonsIn three days and just in time for my daughters birthdaymy wife was amazed at the difference in my picture takingThanks Rick                 light it amazing
