I have a great deal of respect for Rick Steve his knowledge of Europe and his packing tips I wish he had that same level of respect for women and art Which he clearly does not In his Louvre audio tour he actually talks about Winged Victory winning wet T shirt contest And he compares great artwork of the Madonna to the 80s pop star It may be free but it s trashy Next time I ll spend the extra 5 Euro on a quality audio tour     Offensive DiHamX

We took a tour at Pompeii and the coliseum and then used Rick Steve to supplement the tour after and it went over everything the tour guides did was easier to use and had more interesting facts And it free                     Better than the tour guides The savior 2000

Not one to usually write a review for an app but had to for this one Used it just about a month ago for a trip to Rome and Paris with my husband Wow We felt like we were on a private tour without having to pay for one And Rick s radio episodes were also very helpful to understand the culture and find hidden treasures sightseeing Also own guidebooks by Rick Steves that went oh so well with this app I only wish something like this was done for other parts of the world including US Tip get good wire free headphones to use between you and your better half you ll really feel like you are on a private tour                     Private Tours for FREE Beazelle

We used this in Rome November 2016 and it was very helpful The best was were the audio tours of the Vatican Musums and the Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum Well timed and loads of information The attempts at humorous banter were the only drawback painful but tolerable Fortunately they make up a small part of the tours Pompeii was the only problem tour because shortly into it the streets that the audio tour proceeded to were closed and there was no way to get around to proceed to the tour all streets to the area the audio tour went to were closed If I had know that I would have gotten the audio tour at entry Another problem tour was St Peter s Basilica A good portion of the tour includes walking up to the alter and exploring the naves to right and left of the alter But the area of the alter was blocked off and so were the naves Perhaps that was temporary but I have no idea Regardless thanks Rick for all the helpful information Perhaps put in a disclaimer for Pompeii especially that the site may close parts of the tour from public access                 Mostly good for Rome trip with exceptions njlistener

Rick Steve s guided tours bring ancient ruins to life He has a great voice provides interesting details and made my kids excited to spend a whole hour at the Roman Forum                     He brings it to life Bufana

I love the content of this app the podcasts and the interactive walking features But TWICE this app has crashed when I was using it and all of the downloaded content was lost this was especially frustrating when it happened in the Uffizi on my recent trip to Florence Fortunately I had looked over the info in advance but it was frustrating to loose this content whilst trying to use it in the museum I would be more than willing to pay for this app if it would mean that it was more reliable         Great content but frequently crashed Tai Tai J

Used this in Rome Pompeii and Paris Super helpful and comprehensive way to tour sites and museums without paying for a separate guide Only suggestion is to bring on more walkthroughs of museums etc                     Fantastic app JCHudsonValley
