First of all if you are looking to make a series of street view images Ricoh may likely be the ticket I m using the ThetaV and it s better than expected the app on the other hand Dear Ricoh Couple things when the Camera start up in self timer mode please have it use the last setting so that it would be possible to start up in self timer shooting HDR EV 1 as an example Unfortunately it s required to control the camera to use the same setting I always use Also when shooting a series of images with EV correction I frequently get only one exposure even when I change the exposure for each shot Not great Basically the camera works best in auto             Brilliant camera with flawed app Dansker for Beer

Just starting with the Theta V and using the App Works well and easy The WiFi Bluetooth combination seems to make it easier to connect also using just Bluetooth is now possible although with no image transfer of course So just as a Remote Control The WiFi connection usually works fine takes a little to connect But that is similar to other apps Apple makes it much more difficult to connect than Android Why can t it be easier                     Works well with the new Theta V nigbode

Bought Theta S a while back Do not use much however did work Apparently when I updated to new iPad Pro all Apps updated iPad WiFI connects to camera in Setup when app launches says can not connect to camera How do I get older version release and hat worked     Upgrade does not work Gxceb

The app stopped recognizing the camera on WiFi when iOS updated to 10 3 3 I called Ricoh and they are aware of the problem but not sure when it will be updated and fixed Pretty sloppy work 20 3 3 was a minor update and Ricoh should have been ahead of any potential problems I now have a 325 useless piece of garbage     Ricoh is behind on compatibility CBrown1

The app should provide a way to share 360 degree photos with others more easily Additionally when importing files these files should be viewable in the stereoscopic view Lots of room for improvement         Decent but needs work paulsar

The cool feature of this camera is the ability to download and remote trigger the shutter via the Theta s WiFi network Sadly the connection to the camera is buggy to the level of absolute frustration Theta needs to get stable code and FAST     Remains buggy Rcbickle

I don t know why everyone is bagging on this app I m no expert with an iPhone and I was able to set it up connect to my phone and shoot my first 360 photo in less than 5 minutes I like the ability to change exposure set up for time lapse and view your photo or video right on your phone Took 10 seconds for the camera to stitch the photo I ll try video tomorrow Very easy to use Josh                     Great App Javajoshie

For some folks including me this app has been unable to connect to the camera for months due to an issue repeatedly reported to the manufacturer by numerous people affected by the bug in it The Chinese language version of this app CAN connect to the camera but somehow the manufacturer cannot spend the time to fix the English language app Avoid the product until they make an effort to fix it For folks stuck on this issue use the awkward to use but functional Chinese language version of the app which is available in the US App Store Alternately there are some less functional for third party apps which will also work     Do not use this app and do not buy this camera Tempus67

Purchased Ricoh yesterday worked perfectly and then app said the device is offline Thought that Ricoh is broken replaced with new one and still get the same error Although Google Street View is working perfectly And recognizes the camera     Terrible app wifi issues App shows offline while street view app is working ISAAC AIDEN

Functionality if you hold the camera in your hand you always get a big picture of your thumb So using the app as a remote shutter release and putting the phone on a small monopod is really the way to go Unfortunately when you trigger the shutter from the app it takes about nine seconds doing something which makes it impossible to take another picture or see a preview picture just taken Whatever it is doing also seems to drain my phone battery Another possible way to avoid the thumb shot is to set the 5sec shutter delay and use a small monopod Design the app often hangs up for a few seconds in the shooting mode menu as you change options which can be frustrating when you are trying to take a shot with a few exposure variations Wishlist The ability to have a large area of the phone screen be a shutter button with no preview we are shooting 360 degrees Less impact on phone battery life during shooting Faster performance between shots Bracketing exposure The ability to mask the downward direction to get rid of your hand after shooting The camera and app have potential I m hoping improvements are on the way         Needs work cwsolie

The app was fine up until today I used it just the day before no problem Then the app refused to recognize my wifi connection I reset the Theta S and reconnected but it still wouldn t recognize the connection I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it finally connected I then took a bunch of pictures went home and could not connect again I tried the same attempts again and this time it all failed What is going on with this This version still needs work         Connection Problems ruin a decent app markmagoo

I type the cameras wifi password in it connects but when in the app it says can t connect and check wifi settings I ve uninstalled reinstalled the app disjoined rejoined the network for the camera and nothing works Currently unable to use this camera One stars is one too many     Doesn t connect woot427
