the drum synth is really outstanding in itself very streamlined and easy to use and great retro robotic drum sounds the sequencer is a super stochastic pattern sequencer that you can use with virtual midi to add human randomization to other drum apps and even synths The combination makes an app that is a must for any iOS musicians arsenal                 come for the drum synth stay for the stochastic sequencer

The line of code thingreally we DO need the afore mentioned conventional means of transfer IAA AUDIOBUS WAVAIFF copypaste Soundcloud Dropboxin addition to the previous midi requests Did I miss anything              Yep

I cant open the app have 5s and latest iOS update     Crashing

I really enjoy the sounds this thing puts out very crisp a lot of potential for minimal jams THAT SAID Here are some things Id like to see added A swing function for a little added flavor andor complexity More consistant multitouch eg in the sequencer              Solid

This is just the kind of music app I find very inspiring Very easy to use and get started for the beginner but very interesting and unique for the experienced One could argue that theres some limitations and some requisite functionality that is conspicuously absent I say that its the limitations that make it fun to create with Sometimes I feel like developers are trying to max out on bells and whistles and forgetting that some folks actually want to make music with these things This one is fun and elegant                 Unique

I cant think a single reason not to pick this up An interesting concept that others have tried but nothing else makes it so approachable and so much fun to play with                 Wow Cool

This app needs CopyPasteImportExportAudiobus The current save to Dropbox only exports a line of code I need WAV files then this will be usable Until it is usable it is really just a toya toy with potential but still a toy Hopefully the developer will continue to develop this           Could use a few vital features

I want to give 45 stars but the app is missing a few too many things IMO needs swing quantization extra steps for 116th notes and triplets midi out at least and virtual midi as plus would be great ability to import sounds to pads Then theres dreamlist stuff like odd time signatures All in all a very good app Easy to use Could use ability to label pads w text so that its easier to keep track of instruments across screens especially if sound importing feature is added I really hope this is just the beginning of development for the app especially w Stochastic seemingly out of the picture at this point The developer is very responsive and seems driven to improve the app Keeping fingers crossed           hoping this just the beginning

A well laid out drum synth app Great sounds Nice sequence flow Id give it 5stars if it had Midi sync OUT Ability to map midi notes to change patterns Pad event recording Am I crazy T              Beautiful start glad I took the plunge but

Asis its very useful I like the idea of adding sample import to supplement the existing percussion synth format I dont see pad recording as being all that useful with this app A MIDI sequencer with these probability functions would be really great Some variability in time signature and pattern length would be good Probability functions for accentvolume is another idea Nonetheless a very nicely done app With careful adjustment of the sliders I get patterns which maintain a similarity but constantly and hypnotically evolve Nice              Awesome

Robotic Drums converted The MIDI sync is tight easy peasy to MIDInotes out for other sounds probability engine does the trick seems to play very nicely with audio bus It just works Wouldnt might a layer of velocity probability but as is I love it                 Converted

Now with a mixer audiobus and midi this is a proper professional app I can use this in my sequencing of hi hats for a more human feel and I can add other percussion to fill out arrangements without having to write each part Its great I love it and use it often                 Basically

There are a few things I look for in news apps First theres the usability secondly the potential continued development next the responsiveness of the Dev Robotic Drums met all 3 and some The probability feature is brilliant It has a simple but intuitive interface Sounds great and sound shaping is easy Get this one Its a winner                 Definite Winner

Really inspiring drum machine If it had a mixer with levels and panning it would be near perfect              Unique way to twist a beat

I struggled a bit with whether this was a 4star or 5star app Ultimately while there are some things I really like about Robotic Drums its missing a few key items at least in this earlyish iteration of it that hold it back from one of my goto rhythm apps First lets be clear about one thing this is a drum SYNTHESIZER not an acoustic drum generator or sample player The primary competitor that instantly came to mind was the excellent SeekBeats which I feel is a somewhat better app albeit with some nagging issues of its own Robotic Drums gives you 8 different voices which you can tweak quite a bit Fortunately it provides both pads and an audition button on the same screen where you modify the sound two features that SeekBeats maddeningly lacks The pad screen is VERY responsive and extremely comfortable to play in rhythm even on the smaller iPhone screen The quality of the percussive sounds depends largely on your programming of course but I found it quite good The controls are very straightforward and it was possible to make convincing kick drum and tom sounds along with some hi hats with the noise generator Snare drums were less convincing but thats just my opinion and the purpose of Robotic Drums is to offer different types of sounds in the first place The signature feature of the app is the probability sequencer Ironically an app with robotic in the title yearns to sound more human by allowing you to program variability in which instrument hits are more likely to trigger each time around It works and reminds me a lot of Stochastik Drum Machine for iPad But then theres the problems The app is fully AudioBus compatible but as far as I can tell it lacks AudioCopyPaste or any way to record and export loops While the oscillator and noise controls are fairly beginnerfriendly there are no preset sounds for new users or to act as a starting point for new creations Also while a recent update added a mixer to affect the relative volume of instruments there is no velocity control which means that you cant change the volume by step It sounds like a small thing but ultimately takes away from the dynamics I dont allout regret the purchase of Robotic Drums small file size and universal app are appreciated but it was probably a bit redundant Also Id like to see the export and other features above implemented before I can say its a 5star app              Solid but a few missing features
