Wow I ve been using apps from Sonos Spotify Deezer and Tidal All do the job some with more info than others Since most music in the house has been streamed through Sonos that has been the go to app OK search features generally and will search other services as well but no added info When not Sonos then I have to switch to other native apps Enter Roon I know I m late to the table Roon provides so much more depth on the music shows the audio chain specs format quality etc and the native Roon app runs Sonos and other devices in the house so I can use the same app across devices A potential negative today is its limited streaming service integration ie Tidal only If you have the url for an internet radio site you can add that as well Now the only debate is whether to go with a yearly or lifetime subscription                     So much to offer pdhga

I recently signed up for Roon and am now a huge fan A few key things stand out it integrates with Tidal and finds all my other music automatically It allows me to focus on certain formats like DSD so I can play just DSD when I have my Lampizator Big 7 DAC switched to DSD I am experimenting with HQ Player integration where I should be able to convert all files including Tidal streaming to output as DSD The ipad remote is excellent Overall it turns music into a more immersive consuming experience that s convenient snd easy to use visceral and allows all the settings one needs to take sound quality to the highest level possible it s the best music solution with no tradeoffs For any audiophile who spends a few hundred dollars or far more on the likes of an audio cable then Roon is a no brainer investment It s the future of music and the scary part is that it s already here I ve no relationship with Roon just a happy customer Note it s not perfect I ve experienced a glitch or two and still have to figure out a few things but frankly it s close to perfect                     Roon is possibly the best investment a music lover can make JohnNc190

Worth the wait Works better with use Massively better than iTunes particularly for classical where the sub categorizations are refreshing Some album and artist info is still blank but I hope this will iterate Slightly disappointed that it only works on the very latest iPads I m lucky I have a few but a 2 year old iPad mini used only for music was rendered obsolete                     Fabulous interface and detail njt921
