It just work first couple week Waste money My mistake     Dont buy
I have used this for over a month and the camera is ok but the app is horrible It does not do a continuous recording of video timeline but instead it records in increments of every 5 minute video I like having the option for internal SD card but if you record manually and closed the app and then reopen the app it stops recording that is a serious bug issue The quality of 720p on iOS is really grainy for this camera too I just purchased a Nest Cam today and the quality of 1080p and optional 720p is better than this Samsung There is no option to save to internal with Nest Cam but I rather have better quality video since I dont watch hours of my dog sleeping and prefer real time viewing instead at Full HD If you minimize the app and reopen or just lose connection this app does not auto reconnect at all and its frustrating but the Nest Cam does auto reconnect even if you minimize the app if you are multitasking        Its ok not great
What is the point of having the app and camera installed at my house if I cant see whats happening when Im away from my home I read on Costco website reviews where I purchased the camera from stating something about not being able to view when you arent on the same wifi connectionso this is only good for when Im in the house that I can see whats going on in another room And then you get a notification of motion detected when youre not there and have anxiety bc you have no idea whats going on Glad Costco has a good return policy sad that Samsung cant live up to their productunless I was just not on the same page with Samsung on what exactly their product and and CANT do A shame        Whats the point
Initially the camera worked very well It still connects every time and I am able to monitor my home The issue Im having is that when on live mode I hear this loud distortion sound that drowns any other sound present The issue appeared after Samsungs previous firmware update I have searched for answers but have not come up with anything           Loud distortion dound
Bought this piece of junk for 13999 tax at Costco Totally defective except the idiot lights This app fooled me to waste hours trying to make it work So different from the tutorial from YouTube Dont blame my wifi all my other devices work     TOTAL TRASH

The entire software development and QA teams should be fired immediately If I was in the Samsung hardware division I would be irate with the software division because the camera itself is pretty awesome The quality of the camera is very good including the night vision and audio However the app consistently times out This means that we still have to keep the bedroom doors open in order to listen for our little one because the app times out 2 to 3 times per night We dont realize that it is timed out until we wake up and take a look This defeats the whole purpose of a baby monitor To prevent this there should be an option for the app to auto reconnect when connectivity to the camera is lost Another disappointment with this app is that it disconnects from the camera when you minimize it on your iPhone You should be able to use it for audio only while using other apps on your phone     Cannot Be Used As A Baby Monitor
The user interface is pretty poor too many clicks and difficult discoverability of features but the camera itself is completely reliable and I am able to log into it remotely from this app over WiFi or cellular and access all of my stored information whenever I need If anything the motion and audio are too sensitive which is a good problem to have The premise of sending all camera footage to Samsung servers is godawful but this product is intended for people who are not comfortable setting up their own FTP or streaming site There are good options on the market if you are comfortable with that level of technical sophistication setup for this hardware could not be simpler though the dual passwords Account and camera and figuring out where to enter them was a bit of a chore My review for the web browser interface would be zero stars but the app is actually completely reliable and it works natively on an iPhone of course The web browser requires plugins that generally fail to load or refresh I tried drop cam and the picture was better and interface way better but the 10 per month price tag was absolutely deal breaking With this I just bought a 20 mini SD card and plug in the camera for local storage Dropcam also sends data through its servers just like this so the privacy issue is a wash With this camera and app I get for free what they are offering for a ridiculous price Because of the local storage I can playback anything ever recorded from my iPhone with no limitation on the past seven days or whatever              Reliable remote access local storage crappy UI

The button for the settings on the camera is difficult to work It takes a skilled finger to make it work since its sitting within another button Since I activate the motion detection as I leave the house I would like to have either a single button to activate or a button on a widget for the iPhone It would make it faster to activate As it is now it takes 5 separate steps to get to this switch To replay the videos off of the SD card it is equally as time consuming This app needs a bit of a revamp        Could be more user friendly
Before your time is past and you can no longer return your camera I suggest you get a refund for your Samsung smartcamera Save your self some money and headaches I bought two outdoor ones and they work fine for the first two weeks After that they worked on and off I believe the main problem is the app but what good is the camera if the app is not functioning correctly Lately Ive been getting way to many false alarms and no notifications when there is motion recorded I cannot rely on theses security cameras Ill simply say what a Samsung tech helper told me as I called to complain Maybe you should have gotten a professional security camera     Save yourself a headache
Your last update Ridiculous Youre worried about multilingual When you should be worried about making the features that you have work properly It makes no sense that you take away my notification for motion on the app It is sad to think I spent so much money on this camera Stuck with this how sad Do not buy It is not recommended Go with drop cam or Flir systems At least they worry about coming up with new features and care about their customers Samsung I will gladly sell it back to you to purchase a new or updated security cam over this     Samsung doesnt care

Most frustrating app ever Im alerted via push notification of detected motion and when I open the app to check whats going on it spins connecting until it times out and says the camera lost wifi connection I get a message that suggests I go through the arduous reconnect process of resetting the camera This does not always solve the problem and is very annoying and time consuming On the other hand if I dont do it and try again in 10 minutes sometimes it will work again Nothing is wrong with my wifi and all my other apps and connections work perfectly fine while Im getting this message This happens several times a daynight     App is Totally Unreliable
This application and software is a rushed job The UI and UX is a poor design and does not flow well with a basic monitoring system     horrible
PROS excellent video quality very wide vision range so wide that panning isnt needed easy setup no monthly fees CONS no desktop app and the Samsung website kicks the user off about every 8 hours requiring login again to view can not continuously record video to desktop can not save previous videos to iOS device only live video can be recorded and saved so if there is a video from yesterday on the SD card you want to save there is no way to do that without removing the SD card desktop viewing is done through desktop browser and requires a plugin that is not compatible with popular browsers like google chrome           Some good some bad
Ive had good success setting up and using the webcam but the app is unwieldy It shuts off every time I go to another app or after 5 minutes whichever comes first and requires me to sign back into the camera every time The Nest app is MUCH easier to use Disappointed        Good camera unimpressive app

This is marketed to some extent to be a baby monitor but it relies upon a network connection to work If Samsungs network is not working like now as Im writing this review then you cant monitor your baby Better keep a backup baby monitor that does not rely on a network connectionwhich kind of defeats the whole purpose of these cameras for me     Not Reliable
The Samsung network is down frequently The network is a requirement to utilize the camera and app hopefully youre using the smartcam for non security purposes The app allows viewing of only one camera at a time We use as a baby monitor it is frustrating and unreliable     Mehh

This app still has iOS 6 interface and we will be getting iOS 9 here in just a couple more weeks Pretty embarrassing dont you think Samsung This app is slow it times out and sometimes it disconnects and wont even let me connect because the system is undergoing at maintenance at the most needed times of the night when my baby is sleeping You cant at least schedule your pointless and nonbeneficial maintenance updates for a different time in the day Maybe during the afternoon when parents are actually watching and interacting with their kids Also while we are on that subject what the heck is it that these maintenance updates actually update or what features are you enhancing because I havent seen Jack and this app is useless Sometimes i get so fed up with the app that I would just rather sleep on the floor next to my babys crib instead of having to continually check on my baby girl through this horrendous app while she sleeps     The Camera is great App is Trash

The iPad app no longer functions As soon as you agree to a Picassa announcement the app crashes It still works on the iPhone but the iPad has a larger screen This problem has been ongoing for several months Samsung also recommends installing the integrated version of their app for iPad but there is no way to download or install it on the iPad Apps store This is very frustrating        iPad app does not work

This is terrible I bought 4 of the new Samsung smart cams because we were looking replace or outdated baby monitors I am sorry I did I have been trying for multiple days to register these cameras and all the app told me was server down or can connect to the Internet I have the newest phones and tablets also own several att cellular stores So I know what Im doing I cant believe Samsung would put a product like this out After messing with these things for 4 days I am taking them back tomorrow I will be giving my Samsung rep an ear full next time I catch him in 1 of my stores Save yourself the trouble and dont waste your money on these things I will be putting in a regular camera system in now and it wont be Samsung     Do not Buy
Id like to give Samsung the benefit of the doubt but then Id be telling you a lie What an unbelievable piece of junk this app is along with the camera DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM I purchased three of them at Costco and their concierges service is an absolute joke along with Samsungs technical support Plugandplay Try again The cu de gras of this appitem The server is down for an estimated 2 weeks So you purchase an item then it works for three days then its down for 2 weeks You heard me right you pay 15000 for an item that wont have full capabilities for an estimated 2 weeks Save you time money and sanity and buy something else     Worse than 1 star
Have purchased 4 of these cameras over the last several months as Costco puts instant rebates on them First three worked great After installing the 4th it hijacked one of the cameras already installed So in the app in the camera list when I select the previously installed camera Camera1 the app displays the view of the newly installed 4th camera while the 4th camera also displays the same view Both cameras are in completely different rooms For some reason Camera1 goes offline after installing the 4th camera but the app assigns camera 4s view to camera 1 and camera 4 Costco is going to get all 4 camera back     Rats
This app desperately needs more features like its website counterpart Samsung you need to get your act together and make this app more polished and less buggy I swear every time I look at the video stream it looks grainy and worse than ever before you guys need to do a new update and fix it because on the website it looks completely different Samsung if you want to get more customers you need to make this more like the dropCam app which is crammed full of features and works flawlessly PLEASE REDO THIS APP FROM SCRATCH PLEASE And now you guys took away the The google Picassa feature so there is no way for you to view your snapshot picture that the camera takes     REALLY BAD
