Touch screen controls are great and accomplish the goal but the mfi controller support for the steel series xl is bad No kicks at all Ive played with options to see if their was something I was missing but cant fix it so bad software on the controller support Please incorporate the c and d buttons for controllers I love this game              Excellent fighting game for iOS and a classic

SS 2 is a great port that controls great and runs smooth The difficulty is way too hard though The only thing keeping this game from 5 stars is the insane difficulty Even in beginner the game is too hard Anyway other SNKNeo Geo games that Id like to see released on iOS are Rage of the Dragons World Heroes 2 Real Bout Fatal Fury Special and Samurai Showdown 4              Great Port

I really really wanted to like this game and have been waiting for years and years and years for an IOS port However I am forced to admit that the game is currently unplayable The controls are way too sluggish for peer play or the AI which as others have noted is unenjoyably hard and plays cheap Moreover the AI plays differently than I remember in the arcade        Unplayable asis

Ive always enjoyed the Samurai Shodown games and I was pleasantly surprised to see it available for the iPhone It is still fun to play but with that said this is not at all very easy to play because of the controls which are very very sensitive since all the movement is like a joystick youd use for the actual arcade version of the game It will take a lot to get used to because of the sensitivity but on the plus side all of the special moves are done with the aid of a special move button so you just have to move the joystick in a particular direction and then you press the special move button which I liked So if youre a fan of the Samurai Shodown series you should definitely give this version of the game a try you just might enjoy it the same way I did              Difficult but fun

Great job fixing the bugs that affected ipad users The new update seems to have ios 7 mfi controller support added but its broken and doesnt work properly Only the dpad left analog stick and one attack button works the rest dont work at all Nothing happens when the other buttons are pressed Please update and fix so controller support works just as great as it does on kof 98 Also needs an option to change button inputs when connected to a controller Right now its great for using the touchscreen but once it gets properly updated for ios 7 and fully supports working MFI controller function only then can it become 5 stars and be as great as the kof 98 port May need to update the app to require minimum ios 7 firmware just like kof 98 to fix controller issues The majority of people are already using ios7 or higher              Only one bug left to fix

Having blast playing this game I used to love playing it in the arcade as a kid Its awesome that you can adjust the size and opacity of the controls Kudos to the creators of the iPad SS II port but MY ONE WISH is that controls PLACEMENT could be arranged I understand from a UI designers perspective that there is limited screen realestate when playing on a tablet but I think having the four buttons placed on the bottom of the screen as well as lower the joystick would be ideal at least on the iPad version                 Awesome fun Controls placement could be improved

Loved the game in the arcade and Im not sure if theres some left over coding from the arcade version to keep you pumping in quarters but this game plays unfair Single player blocks every hit and never misses Whats up SNK at least make single player fun        Good port but the game cheats

i see people complaining its too hard well boohoo to that ive never remember this as an easy game arcade always had it on hardest level but the fact the controls are just horrible is frustrating cant do anything no matter how i try to fix the button size and position fix and upgrade you are ruining the nostalgic moment with horrible control settings will 2 star this until fixed        FIX THE DAMM CONTROLS

It is a great game but comes with a HUGE catch I cant control character with bluetooth controller which is frightfully queer because other SNKs games works well with my controller To be precise I can only use 2 buttons for A B and the thumb stick The others buttons dont work and theres no option in the setting for changing buttons in game Please fix this soon so that I can enjoy my favourite game        Great game but doesnt work with bluetooth controller

SNK you need to update and fix this game immediately The AI is extremely difficult virtually impossible and unplayable to beat like everyone said even on level 1 setting When you press on button such as the AB and CD buttons all buttons are pressed Do NOT recommend buying this game until an update resolves this game     Horrid Unfair UPDATE please

I loved this game in the arcade when I was younger and was so excited to see it when it came out on iOS However the port is horrible The controls are not responsive at all and when I press back I would actually jump The game is a very hard game even at the easiest setting Actually the settings dont do anything at all It is the same difficulty no matter what you do DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IT IS UNPLAYABLE     Terrible controls terrible game UNPLAYABLE

Im having the same issue with this game too It keeps reverting to the main menu while the game still plays in the background Please fixits annoying        SS2

I loved this when it came out in the arcade So it gets 5 stars for being faithful to the original However not quite the same without a real joystick Still the sounds style and art are nicely stylized A classic                 Nostalgia

I grew up in the 80s and 90s playing these arcade titles all the time Theyre classics and I consider myself pretty adept at these types of fighters but when I cant beat the second opponent on a difficulty level setting of 1 something is wrong If youre playing on the lowest difficulty setting its basically because you are asking for mercy so you can better learn the game Youre opponent should be nearly comatose and you should be able to button mash your way through the entire game This is the opposite it becomes utterly impossible by the second opponent no matter the setting Please fix this i really want to love this game        Difficulty settings are way out of whack

This app is an excellent port of a great classic game However it has been unplayable since its purchase because Im unable to reconfigure the button and dpad layouts The default setting makes the buttons too big and the dpad overlaps over 2 buttons When I adjust their size somehow more buttons end up under the dpad Due to this Im unable to relocate the buttons to another position on the screen and makes the game unplayable I would love to give this game at least a 45 star rating but for now just a 2 star for all my frustration until the app is updated with better button configuration options        Frustrating control options

I wont tell u anything anyone else hasnt said here Great port control is difficult without actual joystick but if you played n the arcade n the day its almost exactly the same Some have said thats it too hard Its exactly as hard as I remember to beat certain characters Genjuro Hanzo to name a couple              Controls R difficult

CAPCOM does not even try to modify this game for iOS For example the fingers will definitely block the screen while in street fighter iv the center of game interface is moved from screens bottom to the center of the screen so that the fingers will not block the sight     Not so good

Great port Fun and unlike others I dont have problems with the controls on the iPad However I dont see the difference in difficulty settings level 1 is the same as level 8 I keep getting to the third fight and its too impossible to beat on level 1 or 8 Please fix Such a tease that I cant go on           Love the game hate the difficulty settings

Setting on easy is set on hard and it gets harder from that Worthless and not worth the money No stars     Screw this game

This game plays okay on an iPhone On an iPad the controls are so large that you cannot use them When you try to reconfigure the controls buttons get stuck under the joystick and they cannot be moved This essentially renders the game useless on an iPad        Ok on iPhone unplayable on iPad

This is a great game but this particular release has a lot of odd bugs MFI controller support is busted and it wont recognize all the buttons on your game padand some of them instantly crash the game for me Touch screen controls work but I find this very hard to play like that For now your best bet is to get this elsewhere like the collection on PSP and hopefully this will get updated later on        Sadly too buggy

I would also like to see more from SNK playmore The fighting series is the best hands down Your fighting dynamics are state of the art There is not another fighting game that can compete with King of fighters i2012 CAPCOM NEEDS TO TAKE SOME ADVICE FROM THIS COMPANY              The best game still

Game controls are not meant for touch screen No way to pull off a let alone pull off a for a SUPER move Need a controller or joystick connected ai is cheap and super hard to beat on LEVEL 1 difficulty Ive been playing fighting games since the early 90s and its impossible to pull thaws moves off Great game but no way to play on touchscreen     Unplayable

Its on sale I bought it Its a great memory of days gone by feeding quarters into a machine But as many reviewers noted and I didnt quite believe its too hard Thats on level 1 out of 8 Its tough enough getting used to the virtual control the ai engine is ramped up a bit too much The practice round helps but then fighter 1 is good the next one is impossible When youd cuss or beat up on the machine in the old days it weighed 300 lbs and was made out of laminated plywood It could take it Now I have to play this freakin game where my kids wont hear me and I have to remember not to punch my iPad Theres nothing like having that joystick and buttons for nailing those key moves You can adjust the size and placement on the screen of the joystick and buttons That helps I look forward to future updates At the same time Ill keep practicing The port is phenomenal           You could punch the plywood case not your iPad

Buttons by default are huge and covered the entire screen So you would think changing buttons size would fix it Nope It is broken as long as the buttons are overlapped with the direction keys you are out of luck Cant believe SNK can release a game without testing the basic one I know this is an emulator but doesnt mean that they even have more time to test the basic functions        Buttons configuration is broken

I was obsessed with this arcade game growing up and was very excited when I found it for the iPhone however the difficulty settings are all the same I feel as if the developers were very lazy and turned a great game into one of frustration PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this its NOT hard and I know you guys are making a ton of money off this game CMON SNK I STILL BELIEVE IN YOU GUYS        TOO HARD even at lvl 1

I ignored the control complaints and went and got it anyways I regret it As one of my fav games I cant get the controls to work I made them super small so they dont interfere with the gameplay but it seems impossible to move them around only 2 move The rest are glitchy Please fix this ASAP so I can enjoy this           Def needs better control support

Loved the game when I was younger looks like a perfect port Unfortunately on my iPad the buttons are placed under the joystick making them impossible to hit and impossible to move in the setup very frustrating and unplayable     Wanted to like it
