Great little device for moving files cross platform I use it mainly to move photos from device to device It helped me consolidate all of the SD cards I had laying around and move all my photos to the cloud so I wouldn t lose them Makes a great little memory protector Who wants to lose the photos that remind us of our most precious memories                     Nifty little device Tallandwide

Overall I love the concept To be able to load content onto my devices without having to use iTunes makes me extremely happy That being said there are some bugs that need fixing App crashes occasionally and sometimes won t show thumbnails This can be irritating when you re trying to move files from SD card or media drive to the device and aren t sure of the file names             Love Hate relationship Steggman

Mkv video files do not playback very well on this device it is VERY buggy and the menu bars stay on the screen in addition you cannot fast forward or rewind most other formats seem to work pretty well PLEASE FIX             Mkv playback needs work StylesC45

Now most of my movies can t be heard because the app can t read the codecs for most videos when it would before the update I cannot believe that I have to purchase a third party app to be able to use you device the native app is almost worthless     It is worse after the update San juan 2012

The three stars is three for three as far as the drive is concerned IT s a really well made piece of hardware that connects to my iPad AIr 2 relatively easily It works well for transferring images between my camera the drive and the iPad enabling me to grab a few shots import them to the iPad via the drive do a few edits and post to social media Nice I loaded some music from iTunes and it works well but DRM movies from iTunes will not play I have read this is an ios8 issue and not the fault of the Sandisk Drive So that s why it didn t receive 5 stars If apple fixes this issue then I ll edit the rating             Not entirely compatible with ios8 Can Someone Write a Decent Song PLEASE!

I ve had the drive for 4 months and while it works about the same as any other drive on my pc using it with my mobile and tablet devices has been a challenge to say the least I m assuming that s due to the app and not the hardware The latest IOS update now has the process crashing on me Please correct otherwise my have been a waste No one likes their being wasted and that has me thinking twice about future purchases of SanDisk products         Are we expecting more than reasonable JohnDestiny

I give this one star because zero was not an option The SanDisk Media Drive app totally cripples what could be a really elegant and useful piece of hardware Examples 1 Move copy and paste of photos into existing albums you can add photos to an album at the time you create the album but there is no way to add additional photos once the album is created So if I have an album of photos of my kids and I take a few more photos sometime later with my iPhone I can t add them to the album without totally re creating the album assuming you haven t already deleted the originals in the upload folder 2 You are actually forced to keep redundant copies of photos in the upload folder and any organizing albums you create if you ever want to add photos to existing albums see above This wastes space and makes for an organizational nightmare 3 Album artwork from iTunes does not reliably appear in the Media Drive app All that s available are lists of artists albums songs etc 4 For some inexplicable reason some albums are re organized to show the song titles in alphabetical order instead of the order of the original album Dark Side of the Moon makes no sense when played out of order 5 Crashes locks up and freezes I could go on and on and on Really primitive software and therefore really marginally useful and expensive SanDisk Media Drive hardware Fix it Please SanDisk     App is unbelievably bad Chuck 283

Sandisk FIX this I should be able to view AVI files instead of crashing the app I can do it with Chromecast so what is your problem When I open the AVI with Infuse the app just crashes And when will you stream to Chromecast         Does NOT open in other application PopupSUX

Videos purchased or rented from iTunes will not play in iOS 8 The SanDisk Wireless Media Drive and Wireless Flash Drive support streaming of DRM protected iTunes purchased movie content to authorized devices in iOS 6 and iOS 7 The DRM protected content is opened in Safari where the DRM is decrypted and the video is played In iOS 8 Apple has not enabled Safari based DRM decryption Therefore DRM protected content i e purchased movies or TV shows from iTunes cannot be streamed from the Media Drive WFD in iOS 8 This issue has been reported to Apple We do not have any estimated date when Safari will support DRM decryption of iTunes purchased content The above on SanDisk Support dated 10 28 14 Why wasn t this info upfront in the product description I love this device but this is a serious flaw that must be addressed ASAP Will give 5 stars when this is fixed until then it is a 2 the flaw is that serious         What Can t play my iTunes movies kbaum01

Does not work with my iPhone 6 IOS 8 1 nor with my IPad mini retina I can connect my iPad wifi to the wifi connect device but when Using the App to view files on it it keeps asking me to go back to settings and connect I can view my iPad photos in the app but can not move them to the device     Needs to be fixed 1997crashes

The VLC free media player has been removed from the App Store the only way to stream video now without the file being MOV or MP4 and not use the real player app that needs Wi Fi connecting is to paying 4 99 for the it s playing app I already paid over 100 for the drive I m not paying another five dollars just so I can stream video that s in AVI format If you can please update your app to support more video files or be supported by other video playing apps I would definitely bump you up to five stars but as of now since I have a long commute on public transportation to work and I only have an iPod touch that doesn t have cellular connection obviously this was a great way for me to watch television series using the hard drive It is a great product but now for me it s useless and it just sits in a drawer at home     No more VLC support willy boeboe

This is a great product with a couple of drawbacks I thought I could put my extra apps on the device for storage but that is not possible I should have done more research before I bought it Also the app keep crashing I m trying to get my pictures on the device like it s supposed to do and every time I select more than 2 pictures the app crashes This would be my go to device for storage IF I could put my apps on there and it wouldn t crash CONSTANTLY Please at least fix the crashing I guess I ll just have to invest in an iPad with more storage I was hoping this would be a good substitute         Would be great but Docarvon

Sandisk connect is a great device The app and setting are easy to use There is one issue preventing from five star for me is the video chapter support When pressed next in the video player it would jump back to the video list instead of going to the next chapter of a movie Please feedback and improve on this thanks                 Very impressive but still missing one feature Stealthnhawk

Works fine but please add an option for Continuous Play for videos I m on an airplane wanting to watch music videos only to learn there is no continuous play I watch a video and then go back and start over This is not a good user experience             Continuous Play Rationalist/Pragmatist

This is a good first effort It works nicely but has some annoying limitations at first glance The internet connection interface doesn t appear to allow manual connections as needed for wi fi networks that don t broadcast an SSID Also it awkwardly plays protected iTunes videos through Safari which chops off player controls and leaves Safari s controls on screen while the video is playing Hopefully these limitations will be ironed out in future releases                 Nice first release but needs more work dpk123

As clearly stated by SanDisk the device will only stream formats natively supported by iOS This is a nuisance but not a major problem The big problem is that the device shuts itself off during video playback and must be restarted This occurs about every 30 40 minutes This is a BIG nuisance This could be a 4 or 5 star device if SanDisk fixes the bugs Head s Up SanDisk         Buggy Firmware Birdydon
