This program has a great set of features for scientific and engineering calculations Sure it functions as a very capable and user friendly calculator as do the other dozen calculation apps on my iPad However it also allows input of mathematical expressions that are not evaluated until the user can review and correct them Finally it outputs either to the screen only to a virtual paper tape or most amazingly within an integrated scratchpad Results can be emailed copied and pasted into other applications or printed from the application I ve been looking for a couple of years for a calculation app that would allow me to work through engineering analyses for my job and incorporate calculations into the body of the document SEC is the first product I ve found that approaches perfection on that score Start typing with the scratchpad feature and include expressions using a full range of basic math through business or scientific functions Hitting the equal sign evaluates the expression and inserts the answer in the text sensational My first experience over the weekend was marred only by a memory shortage that caused the program to terminate prematurely but I didn t lose any work Once I shut down a few of the two dozen or so running applications on my iPad the program resumed flawless operation I look forward to enhancement of the capabilities to make it even more useful I highly recommend it to those with a similar bent                     Superb for scientific and engineering documentation Kirkland Sparky
