stalls out at photo wasted     score player

This app does not work I tried all types of light when I took the photos of my simple one sheet psalm music with no usable results I then used my high resolution scanner and downloaded the image to my camera roll still not accurate in interpreting the notes Then I even photoshopped all the notes out except the melody and it still couldnt play them I want my money back     Terrible

I was hoping to use this for learning my part of a musical score but the app gets confused when there is both an accompaniment and a voice part on the same page I wish there was a way to point the reader to the correct line of music I want instead of just letting it pick at seemingly random At one point it actually tried to play the bass line from the system above with the treble line from the next system downmade for some super wierd music        Love the conceptexecution needs work

Very cool this app would have made my piano lessons so much easier Just snap a picture of the sheet music and after a brief analysis its played for you                 Magic

This is not as bad as I thought a nonrated 4 music scanner would be It does to the basic recognition but not stuff you would also count as basic For example it doesnt recognize ties It would just play it as if there were no ties Also it has trouble recognizing accidentals and cant recognize accents the accents I understand why it doesnt recognize it yet Also I think there should be a way of some sort to edit what it recognized Maybe like bring up a staff and allow us to enter the note andor accidental if it got it wrong For example on mine it recognized every note except for 2 half notes even though they were as clear as the others I would have like to edit it and manually enter those notes If that feature along with adding some other things such as ties I would show this to my schools band over 130 people But overall its pretty good so far              Pretty decent

This app works exactly as advertised It misses very few notes and the ones that it does miss are completely understandable Unrecognized notes were typically in dark spots on the page or in massive poorly written note clusters I would recommend this app to anyone who is tired of the BS computer equivalents of that this app does This is also an amazing tool for learning piano It very accurately plays the rhythms with the correct notes so it makes what the final product is supposed to sound like very attainable by making the music easy to break down My only gripe is that there is no vamp option nor is there an option to not play a vocal line if there is one Nothing to major and thing that Im sure will come out in further updates                 User Error Means the Haters Gonna Hate

While sitting in music rehearsal tonight I realized I needed a way to play my notes and learn my part at home without a piano or an accompanist A few other folks had piano apps or the recorders open and proceeded to tell me how those were only adequate for at home rehearsal I decided on a whim to search for this app and surprisingly found exactly what I needed This app does what it says You take a photo of sheet music and it plunks out the notes The speed is adjustable and I especially liked that I could isolate the treble and bass clef parts It seems like the issues of Ties and other recognition challenges mentioned in comments were addressed in this version because I havent experienced those issues I can tell you that the four pages of music that I scanned tonight worked exactly as intended If youre thinking about downloading an app to help you learn your musical part this is it                 I cant believe this actually exists

Im not sure what the other reviewers are smoking but this app works great Im learning guitar and picked up a book of Christmas Carols Took a picture of the score and the app played straight through My kids are learning piano so I tried it with their piano books It worked The limit is that it can only play a page at a time so if you have a multipage piece you have to stitch them together after exporting them No big deal for me since Im not good enough to deal with multipage scores For me as a rank beginner the benefit is simple I can hear and watch the piece being played Instead of me playing the notes and wondering if the tempo rhythm etc are right I can listen to the app have a baseline to compare against For 399 how can you go wrong                 Holy crap it works

Soso ability to translate the sheet music and absolutely terrible sounding tones Cello sounds nothing like cello etc Dont waste your money     Disappointing

App does not work properly it is not able to analyze all notes on the staff correctly Please fix it has potential to be a great app If you cannot fix I would like my money back too     Not an accurate analyzation of notes

Its not recognizing objects which wouldnt be a problem if I had the ability to correct it Like no App thats actually a bass clef not a whole note     I actually want my money back

I can understand why some people say its decent but Ive tested about 20 different pieces of flute music on it and it only got about 3 mostly right On all the rest it got maybe every 510 notes right but it tends to mistake dotted notes for the notdotted forms of the notes and it tends to mistake things that arent notes as notes     Uhm yeah no

The pages I tried to scan didnt produce anything     Did nothing

The app does not work When it played my music the timing was wrong it skipped notes and different parts Overall a horrific experience     Horribe

This app would be better if they just allowed us to upload our full sheet music rather than having us take a photo or a screen shot of each page Having to listen to one sheet then exiting to the menu and selecting the second sheet and third fourth and so on becomes pretty irritating after a while Would be much better if the whole composition could play through rather than having to listen to bits and pieces              Ehhh

If you dont mind taking dozens of photos to get a bar or two of playable music its kinda fun Not sure thats worth 4 I asked for a refund     Great idea just doesnt work very well

The first time I used it I scanned a simple classical guitar music and it worked for a few measures but then started playing two measure at the same time The second attempt crashed the app right after I took the picture of the page Third time the camera wouldnt work just blackness Now the camera is working but the app crashes after I take the picture every time Still has some bugs I guess        Worked oncesort of now just crashes

This latest version plays multiple staffs beautifully Of course you need to start with a nice clear photo Improvements needed Still doesnt recognize ties and some other symbols Photo capture could be more full featured cropping contrast etc              Nice concept

This would be such a helpful app it it worked correctly    

Its hard to complain about an app when there isnt much else to compare it to Its true that it doesnt read music very well but the fact that it does it all is great Instead of complaining Im hoping the developers continue to work on this app and make it great If this worked flawlessly itd be one of the most amazing apps in the App Store           Its ok

Not all scores can be scanned and made to work but when it does it is impressive I dont think the tempo setting quarter notes per minute is accurate           with the right score it works

Not a good tool at all barely picks up the notes on the staffmidi instruments sound bad     Garbage

This is an absolutely amazing app I wish that sometimes the app was better able to account for sharps and flats Otherwise this has been an incredibly useful tool                 Superb app

I have been using with above average success the player to play music from simple sheet music and find if the iPhone picture taken is clear the music is rendered close to the score David the author of the product has been quick to acknowledge my questions and offer suggestions I hope he stays on task to enhance and improve on this great idea              Score Player
