Scottrade Mobile app for iPad®

Mobile Check Deposit is an expected feature of banks these days and for a bank with no branches Im shocked Scottrade Bank and the brokerage for that matter doesnt offer this feature to their clients I would move all my bank accounts to Scottrade if they offered this muchneeded feature Come on its 2014           Where is Mobile Check Deposit

Yes I can see execute trades Beyond that this app needs some attention 1 It only works in landscape mode for some bizarre reason 2 Im never 100 certain prices are up to the second Some type of animation every time a quote is updated would be nice 3 The iPhone app lets you log in with a 4 digit passcode The iPad app however requires a full password EVERY time 4 No option online or in either app to opt for a user id instead of a real account number        Should be so much better

When I try to get a quote on my iPad app it crashes and logs me out iPhone app does not crash     Crash Burn

For over a week after the last update you can not place limit orders because you receive errors about the limit trade being limited to two decimals no matter what amount you try to enter so basically limit orders are now impossible to execute As a software developer I understood that it is possible to make a mistake although something as large as this seems hard for any decent QA team to miss in regression testing Now fix your freaking mistake already I would have lived with it for a day or two but over a week and STILL no updates Live criticalfixes should be applied whenever they are needed outside of your regular build schedule My advice for anyone ready to move or download this crap Dont bother moving your accounts until they can figure out how to make their software work correctly     Would give this ZERO stars if I could

My single greatest complaint with Scottrade is their refusal to link accounts to a username or email login Instead youre forced to remember your account number and password I have a brokerage account rollover IRA and Roth IRA No way can I remember 3 account numbers so of course I have to do the most insecure thing you can do and write when down To make matters worse you can only be logged in to one account at a time The same goes for this app Why is it so hard to create the very basic functionality that would allow me to view all 3 of my accounts and positions at the same time        Only supports one account

This app crashes constantly so I always feel I have to walk On egg shells when using it The other day I made my first option trade via the app and someone happened causing the trad to submit not the way I ordered it buying an option short instead of long Called scottrade immediately to have them correct and there way nothing they could do All in all this trade error cost me about 250 You would think by 2015 a robust iPad app would be a standard offering for a broker I just moved from TD ameritrade and they sure know how to write an app Hopefully scottrade can improve shortly but for now beware this app isnt a replacement for the desktop site which also isnt that good     Constant crashes also made a trade error due to app issue that scottrade wouldnt make right

Super buggy Crashes every time you try to make an option trade Cant view option detail from position list on iPad but can on phone Cant modify option orders because it forgets whether a buysell Would be great to select a default watch list rather than always defaulting to device list Id prefer a list in cloud Also placing a normal order is buggy As you enter order its very easy to switch from a buy to sell short after you enter a limit price Its happened to me several times and I get stuck with trade fee Last version was more stable Missed out on some important trades because I couldnt execute mobile Please fix     Wish it worked flawlessly

If you like to view the dollar value of each individual stock gainloss for the day in your positions dont update to the new version Instead of the dollar amount of the change it duplicates the percentage and point change information Lame     Dont update to new version

For being a big stock brokerage firm but having such clunky and nearly useless POFS app like this It reeks to me of lazy bstrds who have made an app just to say they have an app so well stop asking for one regardless if it is a steaming pile of     Shame on you Scottrade

There are some nice features about his app but it sure needs a lot of improvement I used to be able to trade options Now I cannot Why        Kinda stinks

I like Scottrade and really wanted to like this app No SMS alerts Really Send my fastmoving trade information to me via email I dont think so The presentation of news is poor Lots of little boxes to choose from and I find the presentation cluttered and difficult to use If you just want to see your account information or move money around this may be the app for you If your trades are buy and hold this may be the app for you As for me Im done Deleted        Not yet ready

I am not a fan of this app When I open it I want to know comparisons from the prior day I want options to arrange what I see when I open it and during its use Its clunky     Not for me

Not a bad app I would like to have my accounts linked but after only using the phone app this is a huge step up Very intuitive and easy to use              Better than I expected

July 2015 Ive been running this app about two months on an iPad Air It crashes almost every time I select the news tab in the quotes page It crashes other times as well The page design is good I love the ability to sort watch lists by last change etc The tiled display of news articles is not so hot The quotes area could use a ton of work More data points on trading volumes would be greatly appreciated Such as the 10 day avg volume Adding the Short Interest would be really nice Sorely lacking is fundamental data like trailing twelve months eps sets and forward eps estimates EPS and Revenue Growth estimates and PEG ratios cash flows would be icing on the cake So much work remains for future releases        Ambitious app but falls short on delivery

I basically use Scott trade to follow the market daily I have not yet used it to trade stocksalthoughI have an open account If I trade I will call the Columbiamo branch to make sure that I am doing it right They have always been very helpful in the PSAT                 Adequate for my usage

It works for what is intended however such simple things such as rotating the app to match the screen orientation instead of forcing the user to physically rotate the iPad around so that the home button is always on the right is annoying on my IPad 3 and along with some other idiosyncrasies makes me wonder whether Scottrade is paying attention to the maintenance of this App It makes me want to use other trading companies where the Apps are informative and a pleasure to use        Such a simple App

Seriously its a stock trading app that crashes when you try to trade Trading options Yeah thats impossible Theres literally no ticket available for entering an options buy or sell I tried to sell to close a call in this app and couldnt because there was no option entry screen There should have been an option entry screen Theres an option button and it should work but it doesnt I switched my 6digit brokerage account to Fidelity Sorry Scottrade Next time fix your app     This app cost me about 2000
