While recording you need to mak sure your house is perfectly quiet Picks up any outside noises while recording tried turning Mic input down but then it does not pick up game sounds while recording Tried recording on max resolution and the picture was blurry and there is always a green flashing bar on the right side of the screen Not a quality product if you want to take pride in your recording if you want a very basic program then this is for you if you want something a bit more polished keep looking         No mute bad picture quality Chappy27

Paid my buck tested on a croped screen works just as the description said audio is A After recording it immd asks you to name the recording this was a hump for me but then I decided I like that feature a lot have not tested on a skype call will do that next                     Works Great missingtheocean

Sorry this app has potential but not there yet I ve tried it on my iMac in capture several resolutions and everything is fuzzy Given what other apps do in this category it should get one star but I ve given it two because it works in Mountain Lion others require Yosemite only A nice feature would be some sort of red or blinking red light letting me know I m recording Yes I can see the word record is greyed out and that stop is not when I m recording but this is just a poor way of doing it in my opinion The app works in 10 8 5 which few seem to do these days that are inexpensive I also think that the app should not allow capturing its own window in the capture window Oh one more thing when I tried to select screen cap support I get a window for sprint mobile service ugh         Recording fuzzy even at hi res Jerryg77777

There is no audio control with this The sound is very bad It appeared that it is sampling at a very low bit rate Like another reviewer said in the middle of a recording the bottom 1 3 of the screen suddenly froze up After about 2 seconds it resumed recording smoothly It happened around 10 30minutes after the record started To do screen recording if both audio and video have issues then what good is the app     No audio control sound is terrible BPI1356

Screen capture quality is good easy to set up what you are going to record I like that this gives you a small screen to monitor what you are recording it works very well I thought this would also capture audio but it does not which is ok for a buck if they included audio recording this would be a winner                 Easy to use and good quality but NO AUDIO Krotu

I record minecraft and games on my mac and whenever I use some stupid freeware recorder it either lags or has some stupid watermark I did not want to spend money on one however this was only a buck and easy to get since I didn t have to use paypal or anything I just had to click buy I love it the video quality is great there is no recording limit and no lag while recording This is worth it If anything it s underpriced But that doesn t mean I want them to raise the price                     BEST RECORDER EVER 812402

I thought this would be good from the reviews of previous versions but I was wrong At random points in videos it will go pixelated and the audio is terrible I was talking at a good volume but I could hardly hear a word I said Get this when it is improved otherwise talk very loud in the video and ingore the random pixleated times still a good app for recording your screen                 thought it would be better averyasher

The ability to select any region of the screen is the standout feature seperating this app from Quicktime s built in screen capture on Lion in my opinion The ability to select frame rates in addition to a few preset screen resolutions is also a big plus The fact that you CAN T change codecs is ALSO good thinking The best looking most file size efficient video codec has already been chosen for you H264 as well as great sounding audio stereo AAC 48kHz Adding any other options here would have just confused matters uneccessarily So thumbs up I do have two things on my wishlist 1 Documentation would be helpful regarding basic operation as well as perhaps some suggestions for the best combination of capture resolutions vs frame rates for a given situation or level of quality desired in the final result Audio in particular needs to be covered Luckily I am already familiar with how core audio works ie it s quirks or otherwise I probably would have been pulling my hair out in frustration thinking that the app itself was buggy as audio was working one minute for a capture then not the next This can occur if changes are made to system or app audio controls or pref s while Screen Cap is capturing There s an easy work around though if loss of audio occurs it can be restored by first setting up your audio routing and levels in Sound Pref s or AMS along with any other app that will be streaming audio Once audio is is routed correctly and the good levels are verified then relaunch Screen Cap All is well at that point 2 It would be really handy to have audio routing and level controls within the app itself Other than those minor details it s great                 A very useful app and a great value mixfixer
