ScreenSharing provides easy access to Screen Sharing from the menu bar. Local and Back to My Mac hosts are automatically detected with Bonjour. Custom hosts can be added to be accessed over the ...
Just purchased installed on Sierra It seems to abort terminate immediately with no notice Note if you try it and it fails and you want to delete it you ll find that it s in use Either reboot or from Terminal find the process ps ef grep i menulet and then kill the process Then you can delete it BTW it hasn t been updated in nearly 2 1 2 years so clearly no Sierra work disappointing I wanted it to work     Won t run on Sierra sieler
It s odd I ve used this program practically every day for what seems like a LONG time and I never thought to give it a review It deserves one Of course one doen t NEED this little utility but to me the convenience is definitely worth the low price Maybe more importantly since I ve installedl it on each of my family member s Mac accounts when I tell my spouse son or daughter to log into the Mac Mini for example they can remember how to do that Great for those normal folks that just want to use the darn computer as a tool not a hobby It s great that it shows all the bonjour enabled screen sharing hosts on the local network but another nice feature is the ability to add other screen sharing hosts e g my wife s Windows machine to the My Computers list You can choose to display these extra hosts either in the primary list or in a submenu list a nice touch I don t often use the Back to my Mac hosts but it has been nice when I have used it Overall a very nice solid trouble free and usefull little utility that saves me a little bit of time nearly every day                     Deserves a review Brian M. This app simply provides Menu Bar access to Back to My Mac and it does that very well 5 stars I have two offices and I frequently need access to the other computer Thus VNC is a daily necessity Of all the clients I like using Back to My Mac the most since it works best with the keyboard commands that I use without thinking muscle memory With any other client I do the command without thinking then I have to think how to do it without the keyboard command The bad thing about Back to My Mac is that it seems to break easily Thus I always try to use Back to My Mac first then LogMeIn if it doesn t work The point is that this app is nothing more or less than a menu bar access to Back to My Mac All of the limitations of Back to My Mac remain and they are not the problem of this app                     Menu Bar Access to Back to My Mac Rick McClain
ScreenSharingMenulet has been part of my arsenal of Should have been included by Apple applications for years like Path Finder For power users that need to regular remote control of small numbers of other Macs or systems with VNC it s exactly what most of us need                     Essential ischorr
that just do what their supposed to Been using the free one for years didn t need to upgrade but decide to quit being cheap and support Stefan s work Worth every penny                     I love programs JohnnyGTO
For some reason Apple likes to both hide their built in Screen Sharing app and doesn t like to expose a list of computers that have screen sharing enabled on your network ScreenSharingMenulet handles both of these problems with elegance Highly recommend if you re sick and tired of searching for the Screen Sharing app or don t want to remember a bunch of hostnames IP addresses                     Simple app that gets the job done Mark Cerqueira
The convenience of having your local hosts listed in a menubar item cannot be overstated This app makes screensharing with another machine a two click affair instead of an open Finder window scroll to Shared click on host click on Screen Share button annoyance Recommended                     Excellent App Bozo Clown
This app is the bomb Great functionality and great price Works just as described and is very convenient if you use VNC a lot                     Best 1 99 ever spent RedCooperS
If you like Apple s simplistic yet powerful design philosophies then you will love this App ScreenSharingMenulet makes it incredibly easy and fast to connect to your remote machines I have purchased many VNC Apps however this one is the best and the cheepest                     Incredibly Simple Screen Sharing Utility zachariah_green
If you do a lot of VNC ing this little app will streamline your workflow like you cant imagine For back to my mac no longer will you have to open Finder select the mac you want to connect to wait for the connection and click Share screen Instead SSM will show it to you in the menubar so it s literally only two clicks and you re VNC ing It also works with non mac VNC boxes I ve only tried it on a local network but you should be able to set it up for over the internet connections too                     Probably the best 2 I ve spent in the app store acosmicfriend
This is a great app and very helpful for quickly managing connections to VNC servers It would be nice to add the ability to group servers together in the My Computers list or to be able to create list separators or other lists But otherwise is a nice addition to my daily workflow                 Awesome little app toonetown
Love it use it throughout the day Hope an icon update is coming that makes it more visible when using the dark menus in Yosemite                     Long time user McJames
Works well Just makes it easier to use the default OS X Screen Sharing utilities but they can kind of be a pain Especially if you regularly share screen to a headless mac mini or some other mac on your home network Worth the two or so dollars to make my life just a little easier every day                     Works on Yosemite too KentMcCullough
I ve been using the free version for years and didn t discover that I could actually help support the developer until today It s one click access to screen sharing to any mac you have network access too If you need to connect via VPN or SSH that s on you I use it a dozen times a day                     Happy to buy it Neil fan 2
Simply does what it says it will do a huge time saver Six stars Been using it since well since it was free back in the day Worth the money hands down I used to depend on iMessage for screen sharing No mas Oh and ignore the moron who gave it one star because this app can t tie his shoe laces for him                     A wonderful little app msadesign
I ve had this little app on my computers for ages Indispensable tool that I cannot recommend enough simplifying the heck out of screen sharing connections and making it a painless process Highly recommended                     Must Have for Multiple Computers Dr. Bertz
Need to run a Mac headless Want to manage other computers on your network from your desk This is your app Sits in menubar allows you to click through to the computer you want just a great little app Worth more than two bucks for sure                     Just wonderful little app LeviRizetnikof
Hey I used this app before it was a paid app in the App Store and loved it then and love it now Simple functional works well perfect If you use screen sharing in your home or at work this is the best 2 you ll spend No it is not a standalone VNC client It is a Bonjour zero conf client that shows what hosts are advertising port 5900 or RFB remote frame buffer support Thank you for your efforts                     Screen Share Much Great App Colorado Man
This is a simple app but I can t live without it A must have for anyone that screen shares a lot saves a few seconds here and there really adds up to a productivity booster Thanks developer                     Incredibly useful Dusingj
this app doesn t do what i need it s not a standalone VNC don t waste your time     wish there was a button to ask for my money back Mscross33
This app suffers from a couple of bugs For example it keeps forgetting its preferences setting to start automatically The list of available servers needs also a bit more polishing it happens frequently that servers are showing up multiple times And I think it chrashes sometimes without me noticing It s not like this app would be overly complicated it should be easy to fix those things in a timely manner But when it works which it does most of the time it does its job                 Nice app when it works HerrSchindler
If you re looking for a quick way to connect to another system using VNC this is the answer This is just what we were looking for                 Fast and Easy Mark & Jill
I ve been looking for a simple way to use Apple s built in but difficult to access screen sharing ability This app makes it as easy as possible to control one computer with another in seconds Thank you so so so much for making this                     Finally SkyMend94
I ve been using the free version of ScreenSharingMenulet for quite some time and was glad to see an update being offered at a reasonable price in the App Store You have to launch the program once as usual and the ScreenSharingMenulet icon appears in the OS X menu Click it to set preferences or to choose a Back To My Mac or a local Bonjour enabled VNC server It even sees my Linux machines on the LAN The developer s support is outstanding He knows his stuff he s prompt and courteous Because I had been running an older version of this application I had to first trash its preferences I was not aware that the new Apple sandbox security feature includes preferences in a new location namely Library Containers Stefan suggested trashing the com klieme ScreenSharingMenulet located there then the app worked fine So I learned something in the bargain Sweet                     It Simply Works JohannesRexx
The option to Launch ScreenSharingMenulet at Login does not save when Preferences dialog is closed That s like the only thing it needs to do             Preferences Not Saving reledev
I use this app all the time to share screens with my 3 Macs I don t know what I ever did without it great little app                     Great Little App Dan Lueders at Why Me? Studios, danlueders.com
I have been using the older free versions for some time Though I like Free this app saves me time every day and time is money I too had the problem of it not showing up in the menu bar after installing the new version but a simple double click on the application solved that problem                     Well worth the few dollars Scuba.Diver
