I tried to read Learning the Traditional Hanzi but found the fictional meanings and stories about the primitives bizarre and culturally alien I simply cannot be convinced that a Chinese primitive means baseball I found and enjoyed reading Chineasy but it covered so few characters and it was a muddle of both traditional and simplified hanzi This app is a godsend It breaks each character down into its primitive components and presents them in order of complexity using the primitives and character components you have already learned Where possible it gives the actual meaning and context of primitives It also gives their Mandarin pronunciation in pinyin which is wonderful I am using the TOCFL and my only note is that it would be nice to additionally get the pronunciation in zhuyin since that is the alphabet in use in Taiwan                     Incredible tastyteacup

I really like this app I have been trying to learn Chinese for almost a year now and I wouldn t have gotten where I am now without this app I do have a suggestion though When using flash cards can you make it so that the flash card takes up the whole screen Have the screen divided between the flashcard and what is a flashcard other meanings and other locations is kind of distracting maybe add a more information button Also paying 9 to unlock the WHOLE app when I m not going to use it all is a waste of money main reason why I haven t bought it yet I only plan on using the games and the HSK levels I won t need the other sets If i do I would rather pay to unlock the set i want                 Nice app kristi881

I really like this app because it helps me not only memorize a kanji but because it breaks it down I am more likely to remember how to write it The couple issues I do have is that the syncing between devices doesn t work as while as I want and that I only really like the different flash card modes                 A great app fuzycomcuad

I m using this App to learn the Japanese Kanji and it s great I ve probably tried most of the other Japanese Kanji learning Apps and this is the best in my opinion I m using this in conjunction with the book Kanji ABC Definitely learn kanji by radicals primitives and graphemes You can add your own stories for each character and some have entries already I tried using the Heisig book but it wasn t working for me This along with Kanji ABC has                     Great App Readore1

I know there aren t any shortcuts to learning Japanese but this really feels like one It works extremely well and I have already memorized at least 58 kanji And on top of that I remember them After a bit you do have to pay but it s very useful and I definitely recommend it                     I love it Luv u app

This app is great This is the best app that I have yet to find for studying kanji and I had scoured the App Store for kanji studying apps I probably downloaded over 10 but this is the only app to give me any really good results I studied for 2 3 hours spread throughout a day Much longer than the 30 minutes suggested by the app but learning was actually fun and I easily learned all 130 symbols in the JLPT 5 study set That s right I learned 130 symbols in a DAY And that was just the free flash card game I didn t even have to purchase the entire app Get this app if you want to learn kanji For Developer Suggestions and comments Ability to purchase individual games instead of 8 for the entire app Ability to purchase language packs separately from the games I want the JLPT 4 3 2 and 1 but I don t wanna pay 8 when I m only gonna use the flash cards I love the cute girl that gives encouraging words She s a good mascot And it appears that she changes into a different cute outfit every day I love it Keep her                     Wow Uchiha 312

Pros algorithms that suit the user s specifics needs and priorities decent interface easily navigable most commonly used kanji Cons the anime girl on the cover I have nothing against anime and I actually enjoy it occasionally but in this case it seems like the app is targeting 14 year old weeaboos and that s kind of embarrassing little to no focus on the PRONUNCIATIONS of the symbols which is essential in understanding them past just visual recognition no explanation of why symbols may have several different pronunciations onyomi kunyomi not everyone is willing to pay eight dollars for the full app however in context eight dollars is VERY inexpensive compared to other means of learning kanji Based on these aspects and a few more I didn t have time to list it almost seems like the cons outweigh the pros However since I do enjoy the app in its intent I still gave it three stars             3 Nikkiosaurus

It s really useful for learn kanji and especially their meanings The only problem I have with it is in the mode where you are supposed to put what the kanji is made up of sometimes you ll get two of the same options and one of them will be wrong For example I ve gotten two ones before as answers and one of the ones was incorrect                     Great Starwatchez

I ve spent about three hours with this app just playing around Throughout this time I ve learned about 50 kanji and even payed the extra 7 99 to unlock the rest of the app I find this app to be quite nice I ve lost myself in it twice just going over its vast collection of kanji and how there broken down The only real issue I have with the app is the flash card section on every page it explains what a flash card is which takes up half the screen which I found a bit distracting Overall though this app has been helpful ill continue to use it and if I get through all the kanji ill write another review                 Review Reptilnip
