Search for Metacritic

I like the look but the content needs much work Basically the app should be called metacritic top charts and manual search I would like to be able to see all of the content and reviews as on the mobile site but from within an app with your design     Too minimalistic

When I first downloaded it it worked fine Now nothing will load at all not the search screen or the top tvmoviesgames section Please fix this     What happened

If you like Metacritic youve been looking for a good app as their homegrown one is terrible This is a nice start but missing some basic and important functionality Three fairly major issues are 1 Critic reviews come up in random order When you click on the Metascore to see all of the reviews that went into it instead of appearing in descending order with the highest scores on top of the list and the lowest at the bottom these results come up randomly Seems like it should be an easy fix one I hope happens immediately anyone listening 2 The web browser is worst in class When you click on one of the review summaries to read the entire review the web browser within the app brings up pages in an almost unreadable manner Hard to tell exactly whats going on but it looks like its not rendering the pages for a mobile device Again with so many great browser technologies out there this seems like it should be fairly routine upgrade 3 No homepage It wouldnt have to be fancy but a basic page that shows top scores in a few major categories would be better than just a blank page Right now the app is geared entirely towards searching and not for browsing This makes it more difficult to use the app when you know you want to see a movie but you dont know which one        Nice idea not there yet

How to count the ways Movie synopsis are almost unintelligible same two or three lines repeated over over Searches by category movie as opposed to game very difficult Plus not way to contact the developer Id rather go online to the website In fact after I post this review Im deleting this useless app     Horrible app

I look at movie reviewsscores for many different The website shows a large list of box office and independent movies that are currently out The app shows a few of the top of the charts films So unless you know exactly what youre looking for its unlikely youll get much from the use of this app Definitely not functional for me     Not enough functionality

Despite the bad reviews I just tried it I searched for a movie Id seen on Mubi Nothing happened No feedback Nothing Took app off iPhone Its over Too bad     I wish it worked

I just popped this bad boy open and started searching a couple games I like seeing scores for possible purchases However upon opening it I searched one game it led me to it then took me somewhere else completely I tried closing it and re opening it and searching something else Nothing Please man get this to work throw ads at the bottom and then make a version with no ads for 2 bucks When it works Id gladly pay for it 2 stars with the potential to be a 5 star app        Its actually a real bummer this doesnt work

but yes its that bad Adding the metacritic site to your home screen is a much better option than this app Theres definitely a need for a dedicated app for the site as MC is hands down the best place for movie inforeviews That said I wonder what the developer was thinking MC only very recently made an api available Curious as to how heshe thought they were going to get the data Manually Thats kinda what it looks like they did Now that there is an api available to the public they charge for usage hopefully we can get a real metacritic app I think most of us would be happy to pay for it     Hate to pile on

I use the meta critic site enough that I figured a dedicated app was in order Well honestly between using safari and this app safari wins hands down Not well featured when u search ads appear over the field you are trying to type into Not worth the headache Im uninstalling this one Going back to safari     Way too basic with ads

This is exactly what I have been wanting for a Metacritic app and I have no idea why Metacritic hasnt been smart enough to release this or something like it The interface is perfect and idiot proof however there is one very BIG problem with this app for television series only the first season of ratingsreviews is available You need to make it so that different seasons can be accessed This is a huge deal              Almost perfect BUT

This is a much better app than the other metacritic app on the App Store The main reason being that the search results in this app are actually accurate and yield good results unlike in the other app In addition this app gives you access to other forms of media besides just movies The downside of this app is simply that its main and pretty much sole option is to serve as a search for the metacritic database If one wants to look for charts or very specific charts then the options are fairly limited           Good Search App

I used to love the old Metacritic app I loved that I could set up my favorite local theaters and find ratings reviews by my favorite critics and showtimes all in one place It was my goto app When I upgraded OS it remained in a frozen state although nothing said it was incompatible Still I downloaded this version hoping that would work Ugh There is no filtering of any sort Not by ratings not by theaters I have to go through more steps and between it and Fandango now Plea to the developers Please consider the best features of the good thing you had Weve lost a valuable resource and it makes me sad and frustrated     So Disappointed

I really enjoy this app to use as a quick reference when Im curious to what a movie game or music album got rated and also use it to discover new artists that are coming out with well rated albums The only improvement I would suggest is the ability to search for artists and not just their albums              A nice tool to have

If it adds filters it can be a useful app Filters include Sorting by date and by rating Without these the functionality of the app is limited The design is nice        Had Potential

I use metacritic to find stuff I dont already know about Thats not really possible if you cant see lists of stuff from categories        Needs top level menus

While initially I had the same problem as another reviewer in that it wouldnt show any content that seems to have worked itself out I love the simple clean design that gives all the necessary information without excess clutter Also no ads The only request Id have is a way to support the dev through inapp purchases or something                 Sleek minimalist app

If you could add IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes scores critic AND user scores Id finally be able to delete my other apps I cant find a single app that consolidates them though Movie Scores is close It however is missing clickable links and User Scores for Metacritic which you have So perhaps you two can combine your talents and make the first simple nonbloated app with consolidated scores from the Big Three Your downloads would skyrocket overnight Thanks           Any chance you can integrate scores

Searches for your meta critic score very cleanly and quickly and displays results aesthetically pleasing I just wish when you opened it instead of just having a blank white screen under search bar it would have the top 5 reviewed movies games ect Just like the home page of the website              Good app

This app is certainly more pleasant than having to go to the website It has all the information that the website does to my knowledge which makes it more useful than the other meta critic app for movies I would give it 5 stars but it seems to be slow at times and not everything loads But still its a great app              Better than having to go to the website

Right now this app does me no good I love using Metacritic for game reviews but this app doesnt even tell you which console a game is on Also you cant see the top charts for a specific console Add these features and youll get more stars     Not yet

It is a genuine Metacritic search app for your specified content on Valium You see within 30 seconds it works and the content is there but Immediately after opening the app the sighs also begin no Home page content no flagship active search suggestions its a SEARCH app and might I add the Meta Cs home page is literally my Dow Jones and I no happy no ticker Absent is filtering results high to low by grade as well is searching by year game platform or anything other than name And then youre treated to the brilliant alphabetical order by critic publication One good idea was having see all critics the default for media selection Its one less slow loading click than usual but for some reason that see all critics click is the one I hate the most So is the app boring and straight forward pedestrian generic dull undeniably half baked and just lazy but it kinda works in the most important way and maybe the few seconds quicker in the long run it is might just save you from walking in front of a bus later on              Meta World zzzzZZZs

Metacritic currently has no mobileoptimized site so trying to navigate it on the iPhone is quite cumbersome But this app makes it a breeze works and looks great Thanks for the app                 Just what Metacritic needed

This App doesnt have any of the features that make the metacritic desktop site useful It is as basic as basic can possibly get and I dont mean nicely streamlined It lacks        Lacking

The app works fine but it could have been improved maybe a subbox that had a list of the features like gamesmoviesetc also the layout of the app is a little bland more colors would have been appreciated Hopefully some of these things could be in a future update but other than that the app works fine 45              Ok but a few ideas
