ShowAnytime - VGA output for PowerPoint and PDF

Although I did manage to get the PowerPoint on my iPhone and output it on a tv sometimes the background would show othertimes it wouldnt Also the 2 mb limit is limiting Its the only app I know which offers this functionality but not worth any money at the moment        It works but more like a beta

4stars as it didnt render some graphical bullet points right However this is the best solution yet I tested it on iPhone and iPad with dock2vga connector to a full HD TV with VGA input Absolutely perfect picture quality even zoomed in I tried GoodReader but it makes it like one large scrollable document which is NOT a PPT slideshow and doesnt look professional So all in all I was hesitant to pay 8 on the hope that it would work but it was well worth it Domo arigato to the dev              Best solution yet

I was able to upload my ppt presentation easily 7mb file However none of my fonts were embedded and so the slides all had a default font and looked terrible One slide was missing all of its text Doesnt seem reliable and I wouldnt pay 799 for it Wish I didnt throw my money away     Doesn

By far this is the best app I own and having it work with my PowerPoint 2000 files means I dont have to spend money to upgrade I also dont have to spend time converting ppt files to work with a propriety softwarehardware This app helps me keep track of how long my presentation is taking and with my notes in front of me I dont get sidetracked from my topic All I need is a 35ft RCA composite cable that is sold very cheap I love this app and the ones who created this have the intellect of pure genious Thank you very much                 Simple wonderful and the best

I bought this app because I needed to display a PDF over a projector in a hurry for a presentation The output was so pixelated that none of the words were readable and we had to switch over to someones laptop for the presentation I wish I could return this terrible app     Very bad resolution

And it doesnt help that the instructions are in Japanese on the English version of the app Potentially great but not there yet Use SlideShark until then its free        Not very intuitive

Im in charge of slides displaying several lines of lyrics for the worship team at my church Ive been searching for an app for quite sometime that runs on an unbroken iPhone4 with an iPad VGA adapter that can legibly display powerpoint slides and pdfs Other apps and readers are capable of showing these types of files but the resolution is generally poor and text is blurry This app shows text in a resolution you would expect out of a laptop Now i dont need to haul that heavy laptop every week At first I was hesitant to take a chance on this app with its high pricetag but my prayer was answered and it did exactly what I wanted Now I dont have to haul that heavy laptop around or spend 499 on an ultraportable iPad 2 4 stars only because pptx files arent supported              Good Clarity of Text

Can handle PDF but it crashes everytime I load a ppt file Needs work        So so

114 new update fixes all This is a great program as far as using your iPhone to give a PowerPoint presentation 1231 another review update and I reduced score by 1 star due to fatal flaw Dont get me wrong I have high hopes for this App However I tried to use it at work today and it was trying to connect to WiFi to sync I didnt need that I was just trying to show a basic PowerPoint show The App would again try to open then close gracefully I even tried in airplane mode with all wireless off What this means that unless I am at home the App does not even load 1230 It works as intended and is very slick I can really do travel with an iPhone and a miniprojector for training As such I have changed my review to 4 stars subject to these caveats 1 It wasnt the iPhone OS I updated from 30 to 312 and still ShowAnytime wouldnt load It wasnt until I changed from an Apple Airport Extreme to an older WiFi router that it connected So minus 12 star 2 It doesnt support Safari as a browser and it has problems with larger presentations Minus 14 3 It seems to dislike some color palettes so a white background with a white square covering up something in the foreground becomes a light grey background with a white square BEHIND the object you wanted to obscure Minus 14 1229 Thank you Mr Payne as that info is helpful Now heres the rub I only get the ShowAnytime splashscreen when the app is loading it sits there for about 3040 seconds the the app gracefully closes Running OS 30 on a 3G iPhone maybe it likes 31 but it says 30 tested Maybe it dislikes an Airport Express router so I will check at work to see what happens today 1228 A plea to anyone who gets it to connectsync via WiFi as the developers FAQ is not very helpful any hints on how to synch IE which scenario below a b or c did you use to connect any other hints I did make sure that iPod landscape mode was off like the minimal directions indicated 1227 Well I bought the App and it may work for others but I am having a bear of a time getting it to connect to my Mac laptop It is unclear if I have to be
a simply be on the same WiFi network
b share my Internet connection by making my laptop a WiFi hotspot
c setting up a devicetodevice WiFi network and connecting my iPhone No matter what I do and I rebooted as is custom after installing the App I do not get beyond the Show Anytime startup screen The CoGiTo website is not very helpful this is all they say about connecting First connect your iPhone with PCMac by WiFi before start ShowAnytime
After ShowAnytime starts tap button
Input temporary password which to use connect from PCMac brawser and tap DONE button Yes brawser And I have connected and synched data like Things and FM Touch so I know the iPhone and laptop are connecting Another help file from the developer says this Transferring new file Please be connected to WiFi beforehand I start application and tap a icon I set a pass cord for the connection vertification and tap DoneAccording to a screen I forward a file from a browser of PCMac Can someone explain what this means                 Connection via Wifi works solved

My first attempt in file transfer took ages Even after 20 mins I still couldnt transfer a 17MB pdf     Transfer file is slooooow Want my money back

Really handy not to have to carry a laptop for presentations Love having the notes on the iPad and not projected didnt find that on other apps Good work                 Great app

This application does exactly what I needed It will display your presentation on a tv or projector as long as you have an AV cable This application even lets you view your slide notes a you go on your touch so the participants do not see them I would give this five stars if they would do the following two upgrades 1 allow slide animations 2 Allow you to set sides on autoplay and have a loop function Other than that its a great application              Great App

The program was frustrating to figure out but once I got it I am glad I spent the time You have to move your files from Drop Box to the program you cant open them directly from Drop Box The first time I accomplished this I wasnt sure how I did it I was just touching everything on the screen to make it work Then after 10 minutes of going through every menu option multiple times I realized that I could see my notes if I turned the screen to portrait Now that I have it working it is the only app Ive seen where you can import a PPT file without having to make it a PDF and where you can see your speaker notes That is worth a lot to me I will delete all the other presentation apps off my Ipad now The interface is not as clean as other apps but it works better than they do              Instructions would make it great

Works well as advertised Two points 1 please add multitasking When I switch to play a video or music and then go back I have to start the presentation over 2 some buttons are still in kanji when you press edit to delete a file              Good

As a student keeping things organized and accessible is a big thing This app help me conviniently access my PPt anywhere And downloading is fast as a blink Love this app                 Works great
