I was looking for an app that would show the interference of sound waves of close but different frequencies or the beat phenomenon as it is sometimes called and this app does it perfectly It can step through a series of preprogrammed frequency pairs to illustrate a series of beat rates and frequencies that we commonly need to be able to recognize and differentiate in aural piano tuning This is an outstanding learning tool to train ones ears to hear the rhythm and pitch of their progression This app was featured in the March 2010 edition of the Piano Technicians Journal the official publication of the Piano Technicians Guild Just what I was looking for
