The Signed Stories is now available as a free download on Apple Store for both iPhone and iPad owners.The application is designed for use in English language. It weighs in at only 28.0 MB to download. It is highly advisable to have the latest app version installed so that you don`t miss out on the fresh new features and improvements. The current app version 1.1 has been released on 2014-11-19. The Apple Store includes a very useful feature that will check if your device and iOS version are both compatible with the app. Most iPhone and iPad are compatible. This is my first review Ever Where should I start How about with the signers themselves As a parent I m thrilled to see my deaf child watch these stories again and again laughing and fully enjoying the experience A good storyteller can keep a kid engaged for a few minutes a GREAT storyteller can keep the kid riveted from beginning to end and make him her want to experience it all over again when it s over Peter Cook and Keith Wann engage my child on this level because they are masters of ASL imho From expressions and all NMS to their awesome use of depiction I feel the same way one would if their child was learning to surf from Kelly Slater Or taking piano lessons from Mozart must I mention painting with Van Gogh or golfing with Tiger Yes as a parent I m thrilled As an ASL student hang on while I wipe the happy drool off my chin I feel almost like I m cheating to be able to sit at the feet of these amazing signers On more than one occasion my deaf child has had to pry the iPad from my hands so I can go make dinner We watch a story before bed every night me suggesting we watch another while deaf child rolls half closed eyes we are all learning and growing in short the whole family is hooked and just today an argument broke out between two of my kids over who gets the iPad next just bought two new bundles so we re all a little manic Now let s talk about production Someone took a lot of time and care on the graphics layout quality etc The images are so clear that I feel like I can reach out and hand these guys my Sharpie for an autograph Love it A huge thank you to everyone involved with Signed Stories more happy drool my only criticism is that there s not more Keep it coming                     POW score Pinkyindexthumb

I have two deaf boys and they love this app I am an interpreter and wife of a deaf man and these stories are signed very well The ASL translations are clear and conceptually accurate and I m glad to having a signing app for kids other than just teaching signs accessible and entertaining for deaf kids                     Love it BeanEddie

After working fine for months I downloaded a few more books and now it will not even open the app         Bummed Asluser

My special needs two year old begs to watch these He knows asl and the stories help him focus when eating Now the app won t load at all even after shutdown This has of course led to tantrums on his part Should I delete and reinstall the app Will I lose all the books we purchased The problem started when we downloaded The Flower and got worse after buying Five Speckled Frogs which also goes to a green screen midway in the story                     App exits at flash screen HelpMom

This app is wonderful The stories are beautifully presented my kids love them When upgrading to a new phone I had some trouble with the app I emailed for support and received a prompt reply They arranged a call with me at a time that was best for me even though it meant 10pm for them Their concern and assistance was genuine and the app is working beautifully again Thank you for this app and your top notch customer service                     Wonderful App Amazing IT support Sarah terp

I downloaded the free book to try This is an outstanding app The pictures are animated The story is spoken as well as the words being printed at the bottom left The best thing though is the fantastic storytelling in ASL The storyteller uses grammatically correct ASL with vivid classifiers to make the story come alive for deaf children This deaf mom of a deaf daughter is thrilled                     Outstanding Deafjayhawk

I was interested in this app initially as a student of sign language but then because I have learned that sign language can enhance my comprehension of things As an adult with autism I am ecstatic that this app exists                     Wonderful App SES78

I am a new student to ASL I love ASL storytelling but many stories are not yet accessible to me because of their hard vocabulary Then I found this app I have been using it to learn new signs in a fun and entertaining way I love it Two especially great features of this app signed dictionary based on vocabulary from the stories you have bought and the ability to turn on and off English subtitles I would suggest this to any ASL student I only wish there were more resources like this out there                     Just what I was looking for Red Joans

This is an excellent app for children and ASL students My own children are hearing but they and anyone else benefit from exposure to familiar stories in another language I cannot speak highly enough of the skills of the signers I have seen                     Fun and educational Catnaplb

We love this app My children ages 5 deaf 4 and 2 hearing are captivated by the excellent presentation of the charming stories in this app The ASL usage is superb The sound and voicing is entertaining and the option of captions with each story is a real boost to literacy I appreciate the review and synapsis of the stories so I can determine if a particular story will be worth the investment before I purchase it We have purchased many and it has been worth every penny This app is especially beneficial for deaf children who are in need of good quality ASL exposure to increase their language skills This would also be good for students of ASL who need to practice their reception Thank you for this wonderful app                     Wonderful ASL stories AlphaBamboo

This is a wonderful story within an amazing app Though Simon is never identified as being a child with autism some of his actions lead to that thought Peter the signer makes wonderful signed choices He keeps his face neutral so the viewer can make their own decisions about acceptance and Simon His face for Horrible Hettie is spot on especially when she is pushing her way to the front I would recommend this for any child who is interested in stories sign language and games The value is great a story signed and voiced and two games in addition to vocabulary additions to the your app dictionary Thank you for this work Paula Matlins Interpreter Bangor Maine                     Simon Signed Stories

Have it on my iPad and my deaf students just love it My 11 year old cousin also loves to watch it and she s hearing It s great because it has both voice and sign But sadly it doesn t work on my iPhone And for whoever said that its the same old you re just dumb stop complaining These guys are amazing and have the greatest facial expressions And if you don t like it then well too bad you                     Perfect Deaf Ed App gengenBee

Love this so far only looked into the free trail book of the 3 billy goats and all I can say is wow Great quality no fuzzy or choppy signing plus the illustrations are very nice In addition the story is voiced with read along style text                     So far love it Needlelittleheart

My 10 year old non verbal daughter loves this app For those who think 6 for a book is too expensive Have you been to target lately to purchase a book If so you would see that paper back books aren t cheap either These are well worth the money in my opinion I d rather spend 6 on an animated book WITH the ASL then on a paper book from the store which surely will get torn ripped or ruined it s a fact of autism These are absolutely worth the money in my opinion We love them                     Love it Deestar75

This App has it all Several stories to choose from interactive vocabulary game and dictionary Stories are told in ASL and it has English voice over Books are also leveled according to vocabulary in the story and its easy to choose which one is appropriate for a child It s very engaging and my Deaf students LOVE it Peter Cook is legendary and well known for ASL story telling in the Deaf community Keith Wann is a CODA and is popular for his ASL stories Well done with this app Wave hands                     Highly Recommend for Parents and Teachers of the Deaf Kwags45

This is a great app Very well done I love that there s a dictionary and games and that it s so customizable I work in deaf education and know that many of my teacher friends would be really excited to have this resource in their classrooms The only drawback is the price 7 for one story Yikes I don t think my teacher friends could even afford it I know I can t But we loved the sample Great product I love Keith Wann and Peter Cook                 Too expensive Irie'smom

I was so excited to find this app the other day We need more fairytale stories signed by skilled artists such as Keith Wann and Peter Cook They are amazing This app can be used for young children just emerging into sign language as well as for children of all ages to enjoy I can t wait to see what other stories they will add Spread the love of sign language                     Amazing rak_attack

I think any one with a Deaf child has just been provided a tool they ve probably sorely been lacking Genuinely Entertaining bed time stories presented in native language And a good user interface to boot Hopefully with enough quantity in sales the prices on the extra books can come down a smidgen nudge nudge I d recommend it for pre k to maybe 4th grade deaf ed class rooms or even high school Asl students Also to the person who gave them a low rating because the app doesn t have sound You re an idiot                     About time A bit Concerned

I have only downlaoded the free book but my students love the sign language interpreter I would have given 5 stars if the other books were not so expensive and if there were more choices Hopefully there will be in the future I love the interpreter and the words that show what is being said The animations are interesting to keep kids engaged This is the first App that I have seen that uses sign language in such a great way to tell a well known story It works well for having a story told and then asking questions about the story to Deaf students I hope there are more apps made for this population soon                 Great for DHH Language MishSpeech

Ok when I see signed stories on app I am thrilled and exciting to show my hearing kids 5 and 7 years old They still doesn t use signed and I was hoping this app will help them see signing when they listen to stories However with no spoken voice my kids lose interest             No sound Ed008
